These Tigers commentators suck.

Which do you all think is more important in hitting consistent homeruns: 1) Good technique, and the ability to get the sweet part of the bat on the ball often? 2) Being very strong and muscling the ball out of the park all the time? I think technique is very important, and Junior has got the sweetest swing. Also, on the thought of swings, I absolutley love Raffy Palmeiro's. Just the way he swings so soft and launches the ball. I think that is technique.

In the mail package the Sox send prior to the season says that Adults tix for Patio are $35 per game, and if you are in a group of 20 or more, all tix are half price. As far as running the bases go, I'm going to find some way to do it. Maybe I'll work on my game a bit, and then maybe I'll get to run the bases there everyday in about 10 years. I'd love to take some BP there, I know I could clear the wall. My high school field is 335 to left, 374 to left center, and 400 to center, and I've gone out of there. I can hit very well, I'm just not too fast, as my 6 foot, 220 pound frame suggests.

I will be at all 4 games against the Rangers from August 21-24. Even though the Sox suck, I'm damned excited. I have two questions, as follows: 1) If you do the Patio Party thing, you get to go and sit there and eat buffet for two hours before game , but do you stay there for the whole game at the picnic tables in right center? If so, I would love to do that for one game. 2) The game on the 24th is a Kids Day. I'm 16, and would absolutely s*** a gold brick to be able to run those bases. At 16, 6 feet tall 220 pounds, I'm still considered a kid and could run the bases, right. I've always wanted to do that, and if they wouldn't let me, I think I would run those bags by force.

As badn as the National Anthem was, I think God Bless America was way worse. You couldn't even hear her. It looked and sounded like she was afraid to raise her voice. No emotion. Very bad.

I remembered the thing that pisses me off the most about him. I.E. when he is listing names, like all time homerun list or something, he'll read it and say," Oh, yeah. And some guy named Babe Ruth", what the hell is the point. I hate that so much.

My two biggest problems with him: 1) All of his stupid nicknames. He has them for almost everyone. Lasat night when he introduced, "Abert 'Winnie the Pooh' jols", I almost threw up. How disrespectful to a hitter of that caliber. 2) When he thinks of things to say as soon as the ball is hit and he knows it's gone, "OHHHH!!!! That one is going all the way to Gary, Indiana!!!!", as the damn thing lands 10 rows up. :puke :puke :puke
