  1. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 5, 2010 -> 02:46 PM) Marshawn Lynch to Seattle for a 4th rounder. Good news for Bears fans is he isn't going to GB. Our GM is too stubborn, I don't know why he never pursues trades or FA (in general) when the two obvious holes right now are RB and SS due to Grant and Burnett going on the IR. On a side note, I know their front office agreed they need a RB and rumors have had the names Lynch and DeAngelo tossed around, only one option left. Really should have given Willie Parker a shot by now.
  2. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Sep 28, 2010 -> 05:43 PM) Thank you very much...GB is a dumb team and dumb teams don't go far in the playoffs. Was that prick comment really necessary? At least this "dumb" team made the playoffs last year, so I guess it got us somewhere QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 29, 2010 -> 04:53 PM) Do you know why the Packers didn't take I-94 back to Green Bay after the game? They didn't want to see another six flags. I have to admit I chuckled lol, story of this team's life since McCarthy took over the helm.
  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 28, 2010 -> 08:24 AM) I'd say it didn't hurt to challenge that...except GB wound up really needing that time out. Right, but also had we let you score we would have had about a minute thirty five and one timeout to get a TD. I'll never get what was going through McCarthy's mind when the Bears were on our goal line last night on the last drive of the game, I personally can't remember the last time we blocked a kick. I miss Ryan Grant.
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 28, 2010 -> 07:35 AM) Yeah...it's hard to complain that the refs were somehow unfair when virtually all of the penalties were real. The closest thing to a phantom penalty the whole game that I saw was a holding call on Kreutz. Half those penalties you could see without the replay. It is also hard to complain when your on the winning side, everything Green Bay was doing right was getting called back due to penalties. Not gonna argue that most of them weren't penalties, if I have beef with any of them it is the holding call on the Finley TD, NFL Network and ESPN this morning both said that was not a holding call but whatever. I like this quote from the Packers board however, "It took 18 penalties, two interceptions negated by penalties, dropped interceptions from Nick Collins and Charles Woodson, a Jermichael Finley touchdown called back because of a penalty, a blocked field goal, a punt return for a touchdown and a late fumble that somehow stayed in bounds for the Bears to squeak by the Packers." QUOTE (iamshack @ Sep 28, 2010 -> 08:08 AM) That was a vicious hit. I would be shocked if that guy (Zambo?) doesn't get a very hefty fine for that hit. Believe it was Matthews who made that hit. Zambo had a really great preseason though, happy to see he got some playing time. I was content with how he played in the starting role, all 3 of our rookies who saw time on defense this year (Shields, Burnett & Zombo) have impressed me.
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 10:31 PM) I'd say your punter/coverage team is a lot more accountable for Chicago's success tonight. Special teams coverage or special teams in general has been a continuous problem since McCarthy took over. QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 10:31 PM) I don't understand what Green Bay was challenging there. Like someone else said, it was a prayer.
  6. Congrats, GB handed you guys the game courtesy of 16 penalty flags.
  7. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 10:21 PM) Are we? Cutler's penalty would have been a penalty before the new rules. Rodgers' wouldn't have been. How's that even? Idc what it was before the new rules lol, a flag is a flag, my team has had 15 thrown on us today, I'll take what I can get vs. the Bears.
  8. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 10:18 PM) That was clearly helmet to helmet. That's been a penalty for a while now. No s***, but were even after the Rodgers roughing the passer.
  9. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 10:05 PM) Illegal contact to the helmet is one of the worst new rules. I know you want to avoid concussions, but damn. You were saying... Packers are throwing this game away with flags.
  10. Solid drive, lets get some pressure on Cutler, that big pass play hurting us the past couple Chicago possessions.
  11. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 09:59 PM) Far from it. Obviously, but GB played well the first half and to only come out 10-7 was pathetic. 13 penalties vs Bears 3 is just a joke Thank you, finally a penalty on the Bears.
  12. This game is over. Wasn't optimistic from the start, I miss Ryan Grant. Different season and still f***ing penalties and our poor special teams still hurting us.
  13. Enough with the f***ing flags! Every f***ing year since McCarthy took over we get penalized a s***load.
  14. Lovie did keep to his word that he would go for that 4th and goal every time.
  15. Green Bay can never seem to cut down on the penalties each year.
  16. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 08:31 PM) Anyone regret that deal yet? Orton looks pretty good in Denver...just wondering here. Who did Denver get with their picks again? Still too early to tell, if neither QB can get their team to the playoffs when it all is said and done it's a wash.
  17. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 24, 2010 -> 07:46 AM) I thought Big Bang was great to be honest. I don't think I have ever been disappointed by a Big Bang episode, they continue to produce solid episodes.
  18. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 24, 2010 -> 08:17 AM) I really enjoy paying attention to facial expressions in Sunny. Sometimes I can't stop laughing just looking at some of their faces. I was disappointed with both new episodes Sunny has put out in season 6. Something seems to be missing...
  19. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 20, 2010 -> 11:22 AM) That's a strategy that ought to open up the running game though. Lol, the Bears & Packers have a running game? However, I bet the running game will be the difference week 3.
  20. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Sep 19, 2010 -> 05:40 PM) Another thing to note is this Dallas defense shutdown a Redskins offense that dominated today. Redskins don't exactly have a great O-Line and McNabb's ankle was far worse in week 1. I wasn't impressed at all with the Cowboys, they can get to the QB but their coverage sucked. Why they continued to blitz 4-6 players is beyond me when Ware only was doing the job. Edit: Maybe not sucked but the receivers had too much of a cushion. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 19, 2010 -> 06:29 PM) Yea! We get to hear peopel complain about the icing the kicker timeouts. I have 0 problems with coaches calling a timeout prior to a game winning kick, solid strategic move. QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 19, 2010 -> 06:54 PM) Like a dummy (so I thought), I benched Cutler versus Dallas. Then, the guy I started (McNabb) gets me the same amount of points. Whew. Try this on for size, week 1 I lost by 79, my optimal lineup would have made up 70 points, week 2 I lost by 50, optimal lineup would have gotten me 90 more. Safe to say I'm playing the wrong people.
  21. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Sep 15, 2010 -> 11:28 PM) I loved the Halo Reach campaign and I'm still adjusting to online play since the BR is significantly different from Halo 3 as are the damage grenades and melee attacks do. I really don't think I'm going to like the arena system for ranked play though. Almost finished with the campaign, it is pretty solid, I feel like the Halo 3 campaign levels were a bit longer. I am still getting used to the new maps, I like the fact they remade Ascension, Sanctuary and Ivory Tower, some of my favorite Halo 2 maps. So far, the cage seems like a solid map but the spawns suck, although they suck for almost every map during the game, I feel like I'm spawning amongst fire. Boardwalk I enjoyed until I played it with snipers, it is hard to see people with all the damn trees but I like the new sniper a lot. As for the abilities, the jet pack is going to become annoying quick, many people seem to be grabbing snipers and getting to a high point, I feel they need to limit some abilities to different levels. My preference is the sprint ability, although this may be because I am an avid Modern Warfare 2 player as well. Yes, the length it takes to kill someone is longer, hard getting used to.
  22. Anyone else get Reach? Pretty sick game so far, still getting used to using the abilities and length of time to kill someone has increased, I keep thinking it is Halo 3 or 2 and assume the guy is dead after 4 headshots or an AR clip and beat down. Campaign seems ok, thru 4 missions, hasn't taken long at all I feel like more could be put into it.
  23. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 14, 2010 -> 12:44 PM) Ryan Grant out for the year. Knew it was worse than just a one week thing, the injury didn't look good. But this totally sucks, all we got is Jackson. Fully expect them to attempt to sign Willie Parker or trade for a RB, if Jackson gets hurt Green Bay has no one. At least we have a good two weeks to find one before the Bears series, Bills should still be beatable without Grant.
