  1. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 01:26 PM) Mark has about 3 o4 4 of these kinda games a year. It's normal. Yah. A lot of the time they are against Oakland.
  2. QUOTE(GoRowand33 @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 01:17 PM) neither has anyone in the AL central Exactly.
  3. QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 01:11 PM) it sounds ridiculous because we are winning, but still, the starting pitching has just not been impressive. we certainly dont have a santana, liriano 1,2 punch. liriano may never lose a game again. He is awesome, and I'm not trying to sell him short at all, but one reason that he hasn't lost much is because he hasn't pitched to one team in the AL central or AL East yet. In other words, he's pitched against a bunch of really awful offenses. The Twins haven't played anybody good in awhile in general. Just an FYI.
  4. QUOTE(sayitaintso @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 01:11 PM) As of now his ERA is 3.02 LOL. Hopefully it won't go bakc under 3 in a couple of innings. He's got awesome stuff.
  5. I can't believe Zambrano has a sub 3 ERA as tempermental as he is. That's pretty crazy that he is top 6 in ERA in the NL.
  6. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 12:52 PM) BULLs***. How many f***ing times is Mark going to "tip his pitches"? I'm sick of the f***ed up excuses on MB when he s***s himself. Man the f*** up and say "I sucked today" instead of some "I was tipping my pitches" bulls***. This ain't high school anymore. Mark says that almost anytime he gets rocked. Somebody else had to report that he was tipping pitches when they fixed whatever in Minny.
  7. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 12:44 PM) Talk about an asswhooping. We f*** up that bunt defense and now its toast. Buehrle is getting shallacked. MB got shallacked, but we didn't f*** up that bunt defense. There was no chance on that play. Neither Mark nor Iguchi could have gotten to first and Paul was the only one who couldve fielded it.
  8. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 12:41 PM) Did Iguchi decide to not play today? I mean seriously where the hell was he on either of those plays? He was playing up the middle on teh bunt. He had no chance. That was just a perfect bunt.
  9. Toughest out of the game. We just saw what happened.
  10. HAVE to get Lee out in front of Ramirez.
  11. Should be 2-0 AJ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 02:11 PM) Well, our worthless leadoff hitter keeps the status quo. He is so f***ing useless. Yah, he didn't have a double to give us a chance to take the lead with no outs or anything.
  13. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 02:09 PM) I'm talking about letting Anderson swing away. Forget it for now, though. 9th is on. Why would you want an easy out with nothing to gain over a productive out.
  14. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 02:06 PM) But Ozzie has to know he's not capable of doing it. Yet he still has him throw away an out. Last chance here. Let's get it done. It is a dumb idea to PH a player just to have them bunt unless it is Paul or Thome, in which case they are swinging away no matter what. None of the blame can go on Ozzie there. HE did what ever manager would do.
  15. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 02:05 PM) What has put us in a hole this game, is not the inability for brian to put a bunt down. Its the inability for Vazquez to throw quality pitches when he was ahead 0-2 and 1-2. Constantly throwing high pitches in the zone with 2 strikes was what lead to this. Vazquez got ahead of Lee and had a 1-2 count on him, then threw a fastball that tailed over the plate. He had Kd him the previous at bat with the slider he never uses for whatever reason. Thats 3 runs that Ramirez knocked in then would of come back off the board. But you knew after that Vaz would have a meltdown. Vazquez was awful, but that doesn't excuse BA from killing us in two big offensive situations. You can't excuse not getting a bunt down in that situations. That is one of the things a hitter has to be able to do.
  16. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 02:03 PM) Our team can't bunt. Ozzie has to realize that. There are about 2 guys I'd trust in that situation, and BA ain't one of 'em. I guarantee a lot of us saw him screwing that up. I'm sure we did. But Ozzie expects a major league player to be able to bunt the ball. If BA is that worthless that he can't even get a productive out, it's time to ship him out for awhile.
  17. QUOTE(Brian @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 02:01 PM) D'ANgelo Jiminez, Cory Snyder to name a few. I'm sure there are plenty more. The kid is a f***ing rookie. Give him a whole season before you label him. DLo was lazy, stupid and worthless, but he was 20x the hitter that BA is.
  18. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 02:00 PM) Sometimes you just gotta wonder why Ozzie does these things. You knew BA would screw up the bunt. And the chances for PK grounding into a DP were high. What are you talking about? Every manager in the major leagues bunts in that situation, especially in front of PK.
  19. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 01:59 PM) A lot of dumb bunting with people who have a hard time bunting. I know its a national league park, but why do we have to f***ing have guys who cant bunt, bunt. Wind is howling out, let some people lift the ball and lets see what happens. YOu have to be able to get a bunt down with 2 on, no out, down a run. BA just f***ed up big time.
  20. That should be a run. Thanks for nothing BA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. I'm glad we have his great D out there though, cause he never costs us on offense!!!
  22. Just an awful awful hitter. Embarassingly bad.
