  1. Surprising we have no HR in this park yet.... hint hint.
  2. Crede having a real bad game so far. Makes the first out in the first inning when we couldve blown the game open, then makes a bad play on defense to lead to 2 runs.
  3. Better in the first inning today rather than last night in the ninth.
  4. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 08:57 AM) I love this success Jenks is having. I was reading this article last night, and they were basically predicting Jenks to do almost nothing (except one guy). But man, he has turned it on. He is just so unbelievable right now! KEEP IT UP BOBBY! Hah, the article about Crede is hilarious too. I remember reading similar things in March on this board. They didn't want to listen though. Bobby is awesome. League leader in save percentage.
  5. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 07:35 PM) Still one of your all time favorite threads jphat? Yes!
  6. WTF Joe West. What happened? Dammit. THat curve was a strike.
  7. I just don't understand the urge to go out there. Don't care how much alcohol you've had.
  8. Surprised that a) he swung B.) he didn't get better wood on that pitch. Nice pitch inside though.
  9. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 07:21 PM) Joe West can be so good and so full of s*** sometimes. Hopefully that big zone is there all inning.
  10. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 07:15 PM) Jenks might get a chance to lead the AL in saves. He leads the league in save percentage I believe.
  11. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 07:10 PM) Chcecking the scoreboards here.....I sure hope the BoSox cool off by the time they come here next week. About to win 11th straight. Everybody in the AL is hot.
  12. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 07:05 PM) What else is on your list? At the top is game 2 of the world series. Absolutely the funniest thread I've ever read in my life. I went back and read the end of it a couple of weeks ago and couldn't stop laughing and shaking my head at the same time. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 07:05 PM) I'm glad we're making your stay so enjoyable, jphat. There is nothing better than a good laugh.
  13. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 07:03 PM) Wasn't the majority of the negative posts in this thread about our approach at the plate? Even the biggest Sox homers couldn't have been pleased with the swings we took in the first 6 innings. Competing for one of my favorite threads ever. And I'm dead serious.
  14. This might be one of the most enjoyable game threads in a long time.
  15. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 06:53 PM) one would think that the faith in a team that had just won 10 out of 11 games would go a little farther than it did in this game thread but there you have it, we had people jumping off of buildings once again in the 6th inning I just don't understand why certain people's faith in this team is paper thin I'm not putting myself on some high ground here, this looked like a loss to me too, sure but I don't get the perspective of people who want to blow up a few bad innings into a much bigger deal than it is it's happened in numerous game threads this season, especially recently I personally think it stems from the uneasiness of the Tigers constantly being in front of us It's mind boggling.
  16. QUOTE(The Critic @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 06:41 PM) Said it before, I'll say it again: That's why they play 9 innings. You can look terrible for 6 innings and then rattle off four straight hits to tie things up. Don't get too high, don't get too low. Exactly. And how anybody can not believe this after watching this team for two years is incredible.
  17. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 06:31 PM) It's like clockwork....the Sox fall behind, and certain posters attack my posts even more. LOL. I'm not attacking your posts. You telling someone that we get the point after saying it over and over was funny though, becuase that is exactly what you do.
  18. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 06:28 PM) :banghead We get the point. Funny that you would say that, LOL.
  19. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 06:23 PM) Way to keep trying to pull the ball. Just an awful approach at the plate by our guys tonight. Agree with this sentiment too. THey don't know how to approach certain pitchers. And that is seen in the fact that they are only 23 runs up on the second best offense, when they should be many more.
