Is Anyone else watching the Yanks vs. Rays?
The MLB needs to move the Devil Rays to a less competitive division, like the N.L. Central.

6/22/05 Game Thread KC vs. Sox
Why? Both Podsednik and Everett are hitting lefties alot better than righties. Also, Ozuna can play the corner outfield spots. Podsednik's splits Everett's splits Ozuna's splits

Cubs Rumor
That's why this rumor is hard to believe. The A's would want a guy like outfield prospect Matt Murton from the Flubs. Korey Patterson is the anti-Beane player.

Which announcer was it that said this?

McCarthy out of rotation; to bullpen as swingman
Heh, do you know what a swingman is? McCarthy will take the role that Glendon Rusch had last season with the Flubs. He will long relieve out of the bullpen and spot start when needed. McCarthy is basically taking over Cotts' role. Cotts is now a later-innings reliever.

6/22/05 Game Thread KC vs. Sox
We are facing a lefty. I doubt Ozzie will play Timo in LF. Pods is a lefty but he has actually hit them well this season... http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...5392&statType=1

And That's a White Sox Winner!!!
I would be shocked if we didn't win at least half of those games but you can't just assume that.

And That's a White Sox Winner!!!
We play the Twins 13 times in August and September. The race won't be decided at the All-Star break.

6/22/05 Game Thread KC vs. Sox
I was at the game earlier in the season in which Buehrle pitched against the Royals at home. Now there's no Mike Sweeney to rough him up this time. That guy flat out owns us. Ozuna will be starting in place of Uribe at SS again. I also think Widger will get the start to face the lefty and to give AJ two consecutive days off.

Garland to start Sunday
It makes sense to pitch Garland. He will have his normal rest and there's also this stat -- Garland is 7-0 with a 2.94 ERA at home.
-
Gagne to have Tommy John
Yep, Gagne was pitching on a hobbled knee during Spring Training. That will totally screw up a guy's mechanics. The Dodgers messed up when they did that.

McCarthy out of rotation; to bullpen as swingman
http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...t=.jsp&c_id=cws This looks like it will work out great except for the fact that McCarthy's one start will be at Oakland where we play like s***.

Crede on Block?
The dual-purpose of Randa helping our team and screwing over the Twins would make it worth trading for him.

Is Anyone else watching the Yanks vs. Rays?
ESPN is running a whole "Outside the Lines" story about the Devil Rays, owner Vince Naimoli, and Lou Piniella. They are talking about why the team is still so horrible today. Mainly because Naimoli refuses to spend any money on the team.
-
Crede on Block?
Wow, Randa is showing some power this season. He just hit his 11th homer tonight. Joe Randa .292 AVG .362 OBP .494 SLG .856 OPS 11 HR 38 RBI 26 BB 39 SO He is definately the guy we should go after if Crede's bat goes dead. He is cheap (1-year, $2.15 million contract) and I doubt he would cost much in the way of prospects.

CRUISE WON'T TAKE LEGAL ACTION AGAINST PRANKSTERS
Now that is a classic.

Garland to start Sunday
Garland starting on Sunday could be another reason Ozzie pulled him tonight. He gave him a chance at the complete game shutout and when it wasn't a shutout anymore, he pulled him with a 102 pitch count and 2 batters left to get out.

No, this is the first time we've seen this.
