These guys won 6 NBA Titles and didn't get it to end it on their own terms.

Reinsdorf made some fascinating comments today stating him and MJ had several meetings that he will never detail and JR had no doubt in his mind Jordan had his doubts about winning again considering all of the drama surrounding the team, changes, personal lives, etc.

My only memory of the old stadium was going to a Hawks game with my dad, and we were in the bowels of the building (my dad knew a few of the guys on the ice maintenance crew) and we saw Will Perdue walking towards us. He was the tallest person I had ever seen in person, as like a 7 year old it was like seeing a comic book giant.

Live events is absolutely a huge part of fandom. Just a whole different experience.

It still is like seeing a giant...I saw him at Midway getting off a flight at the same time as me a few years ago, I was walking behind him and he was burning me...I'm 20 years younger than him.  Every one step for him was 3 for me.

He has worse WR's, better OL and better RB than Trubisky had last year yet wasn't much better. It's apparent no one was willing to give up anything for him. I can't imagine he's much of an upgrade.

It's becoming pretty obvious that OJ Howard isn't very good.

    Dalton - $3M guaranteed, Winston - $1M guaranteed, Cam - still available...

    Foles - $21M guaranteed and a 4th round pick

I'm not saying Dalton is a huge upgrade over anybody, Foles has had his times but doesn't look to be a huge upgrade either yet they paid a pretty penny for his services.

Not sure how I would feel if I were a resident of AZ...hopefully things will be under control by then, but 1000’s of people suddenly flooding 1 relatively small area doesn’t seem like the best ideas in general. Guys would be coming from all of the US + other countries.

I want baseball of course...I just think if they can’t play in home stadiums by July (fans or not), we are unfortunately going to be in more trouble than we realize. But I don’t think that will be the case, I think they will get at least 1/2 a season in regular stadiums

PHX as a city (not including the suburbs where most games are) is the 10th largest city by land area in the country.  They are already the 5th-6th biggest population in the country, it's a large city and metro area.

And Kyle, what do I know. I would have never traded Butler to begin with and would have let Butler try to recruit others to come to Chicago (which I think he would have done).  Would they be better, I don't know, but I would have stuck to my guns.  I don't think you should ever trade a top 10/15 player in the NBA unless he is forcing his way out (with few exceptions in between).  Period.

Jimmy was never going to be a 1A but I agree with this 100%.  He played insanely hard and he has never been afraid to take and make big shots in crunch time.  They need somebody like him...bad.

Yeah I can see your point, but the odds that Keenum or Mariota will get them a championship aren't good. I suppose Bridgewater is an option but for $20M a year that likely means a lot of pieces will have to leave- Jackson perhaps, Robinson maybe, Cohen who cares, Patterson could be gone.

Plus if they run Trubisky's sorry ass out there and finish 4-12, it'll be a new GM/HC finding that quarterback. Pace loved Mariota, Glennon and Trubisky. If it was him making the 2021 pick I'd be with you, but it'll be a new GM and just by sheer chance he will have a better eye for QB talent than Pace.

Yeah, that's a steaming pile of crap selection.  If they can find a way to make Cam or Foles work (doubtful), that was more so what I'd prefer.  I don't know if I can stomach another 1st round QB bust.  I'd rather see the ship sink with somebody that has at least proven they can perform at that level before.

I'm almost to the point where if they suck ass next year I wouldn't be upset because then they can get Lawrence or Fields

I'm already to the point that I do not want to see them draft any more QB's early.  It just doesn't work.  With a special defense, We don't have time to wait to see what a young QB becomes.

This makes up for the pain of last season. But hopefully this move is just the first of many. Now get Wheeler and Castellanos.

I came to post something along these lines, nice signing but hope we get one other major piece and not let this be the only thing of note.

  8. It's apparent that the Bears can't even mistakenly draft a good QB, so why do we even hope that they try this over again?  Unless we find a gem, any rookie that steps into Soldier Field from now on and throws their first bad pass for a pick is going to be booed endlessly.

As frustrating as Cutler was, he was probably the best QB in Bears history and would likely be pretty damn good (relatively speaking) on this current team.  We traded for him because he was somewhat established already in the league and that is why I think the Bears need to pounce on one of these talents that may be on the block like Cam or Foles because we don't have 3-4 years to determine if another rookie QB is going to work out.

Yeah but I've seen them high as a fourth seed. The thing about Josh Richardson is they didn't add Jimmy on top of him, they replaced him. So while they may enter into the bottom of the playoffs churn, I would be surprised at much more than that.

JRich isn't exactly a beacon of efficiency and consistency, Butler is a clear upgrade in my opinion overall on offense and Jimmy is a guy willing to take the big shot even though he's not a 1A.

Personally, I also don't think 4th is far fetched (I've seen somebody projected 3rd), Raptors lost Kawhi and needed OT to beat the Lakers rejects, Celtics have a real chance at falling off and the three teams atop Miami last year were Charlotte, Detroit and Orlando.  I think some outlets believe there is a good chance Miami swings a deal for a star with some of their young pieces.  I don't even like them but they have a chance to be pretty good in the East.

They were making 3s on contested shots too. It honestly didn't matter for them. Was like watching Golden State out there. It was definitely an outlier game for them.

This. They shot a higher % from 3 than they did overall.   Bulls can also light it up and had a terrible 1H/1Q shooting and Got back into the game.

Definitely need to find ways to make stops on D but they have legit talent.

One team Im surprised how high everyone is on is the Heat. They've overperformed a lot and now have Jimmy, but I've seen that before.

I'm not surprised by this at all.  Their top scorer last year was Josh Richardson replaced by a great 1b and two way player in Jimmy.  Two very good looking rookies with potential, Justice Winslow had a nice season as a better scorer and facilitator.  Bam Adebayo was really good the last two months of the season.  They had no star power and almost made the playoffs, they could be a lot better with so much uncertainty in the East and stacked with young guys with potential that are already getting better.

Chicago does not want black QBs, they wanted the white boy to be face of the franchise.

I doubt that they would rather suck over selecting a black quarterback.

They have black pro bowlers all over the field and listen to rap music in Club Dub. They simply tried getting cute, some people were actually rating Mitch higher than the others which is fascinating.

I've made it clear about my trip to Europe in October and a few have given me ideas on things to do. What about places to eat? What I'm looking for is moreso small cafes, street food, aka authentic foods for Paris and London. Any help? @The Sir @Bazox

    Paris

Ask your hotel to help you get a seat at Le Chateaubriand, this is everybody's chance to get an unreal dining experience for a decent price compared to others of the same quality.  It's Michelin starred, casual dress but is mind-blowing.

Would echo what others said, google best bakeries, cheese shops and wine shops.  Get some bread, ham, cheese, desserts, wine and chill on the Seine or in a courtyard... they are everywhere.

I'd recommend Bike About Tours, they bring you to the lesser-known of Paris which is basically what you want because you can walk to Eiffel Tower and all the tourist sites and don't need to pay a Bike Company to show them to you.  It was amazing.

    London

Pub food is your best bet for local type "street food".  It's a melting pot, tons of options.

Fentanyl is worse than the opies. Suppressed CNS lead to aspiration and choking. The parents want blood from the club member who was with him and forced Tyler to take drugs.

Could you elaborate on this statement some more?  Unless you have some insider info, I don't think that it's right to say that but that's IMO.

In your job you probably dont cost your co-workers who make a lot less money than you do sizable bonuses. The other players on the team especially the 35-53 players on the depth chart, who are sacrificing their bodies for a lot less money and who will play only a few years in the league, could really use that playoff bonus money. With him they probably make the playoffs, without him not a chance.

Again he has every right to do it but the timing really has a direct impact on many other people.

Well, personally, I'm in sales.  If our top sales person that has a personal relationship with our biggest account leaves and that business tanks, she's going to cost me a nice company growth bonus.  As another said, he owes nothing to nobody.

The Colts should have given him an offensive line years ago and we may not be witnessing this.  I'm sure we will get more news as time goes on, he wasn't even practicing so he may have been out for the year, anyways.
