QUOTE(obno @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 08:38 AM) Bajenaru's era .94 28.2 IP 15 walks 33 stirkouts and only 14 hits allowed. What else does he need to do to be given a shot ? I agree that he should be given a shot with those types of numbers, the only two that i think he would replace are Shingo and Vizcaino.

The one problem, he is represented by Boras.

QUOTE(retro1983hat @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 08:35 AM) It's a good point. I just want this team to go for the kill when it has the chance. But Ozzie doesn't always do it. In Game 3 at Wrigley, he did put his best line up out there behind BMac. Hopefully our B team can get a sweep soon. We could possibly get a sweep this seris with the B team playing the last game against the Rockies.

QUOTE(ISF @ Jun 6, 2005 -> 03:36 PM) I think it's dumb to tell someone the thread they started is dumb. It's an opinion forum. If someone has something to share, they should be encouraged to do so as long as it is in good taste and in keeping with forum policies concerning language and content. I wonder how many people just look and don't participate because they're afraid some jagoof is going to tell them their ideas are dumb. -
Anyone want a familiar face for Bullpen Help?
sayitaintso replied to JDsDirtySox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
How bout Billy Koch for a familiar face to be added back to this team? -
QUOTE(Dam8610 @ Jun 6, 2005 -> 11:15 PM) You gave Dingo time as part of the reason we DON'T need pen help? If Dingo is our 3rd best reliever right now, we desperately need pen help. Fortunately he's not. IF he gets his control back and pitches like he did last year, then he would be one of the best. But those are pretty big IF's.

It must have been merged

QUOTE(Dam8610 @ Jun 6, 2005 -> 11:10 PM) Yeah...this thread! It was a seperate one eariler when i made the post

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Jun 6, 2005 -> 11:02 PM) Well, going by that same logic, I don't see Crain mantaining a 0.76 era all year, or Rincon sporting an era under 2 I believe? Nathan is obviously solid. Hopefully they don't maintain those, because we could be in trouble when we play the Twins again and their ERA's are still like that.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 6, 2005 -> 10:46 PM) Eaton has just been superb this season, especially for my fantasy team. He always had talent, but he could never seem to get his ERA down to a good level, even though he pitches at PETCO. Peavy and Eaton is a hell of a 1,2 combo at the moment. We caught a huge break that we didn't have to bat against those two. They are a scary (in the good way) combo.

I have been worried to if Dustin is starting to comeback to earth lately, not saying he's doing a bad job, it just seems he's not as unhittable as he was before.

AND THATS A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!!!!!!&#

A win is a win, no matter if it is a crappy team or a good team, it still counts as a win. And that's all that matters. -

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Jun 6, 2005 -> 09:58 PM) This is what you have to do against the crap teams. Not just win, but DOMINATE. I think this is the best Freddy has looked since he's been with us. 22 straight batters retired. That's sick. Now Jose has gotta keep it goin tomorrow night. I want a SWEEP. None of this 2 out of 3 garbage. Not against this team. -
QUOTE(nvxplorer @ Jun 6, 2005 -> 10:10 PM) Shingo may be suffering from the sophomore jinx. I know it's a myth, but it does seem to effect many players. It happend to Podzilla last year

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Jun 6, 2005 -> 10:09 PM) Is it true brooks plays the devil? Where did you hear/read/see that?

It has them running into each other and ending up on a subway with an angel. I think the ARow one was funnier, but thats JMO.

QUOTE(thelatinoheat_30 @ Jun 6, 2005 -> 03:25 PM) Trade Stuff There was already a thread about this earlier.
-
It's good for the Sox now that they don't have to face him, but i was really looking forward to watching him play. I really like that guy and hope this injury doesn't affect his carrer negativly.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 6, 2005 -> 11:29 AM) .286/.368 playing everyday isn't underachieving, imo. He's not a run producer, but he hasn't really been asked to be one and is playing in an extreme pitchers park. That would look amazing right now. He's a good hitter , maybe not the prototypical 3rd baseman but he's a good hitter. I like good hitters and the Sox need more of them. We need to do this trade if it is there. We have been trying to guess when Joe would "breakout" and it still hasn't happened. THIS YEAR was susposed to be his "breakout" year with him working on his swing all winter, but look at the results so far. Maybe a change of scenery would be good for him, or maybe he would still be the same old Joe.

To Upgade at the deadline, who would you trade?

QUOTE(go-sox05 @ Jun 6, 2005 -> 11:09 AM) I would trade all those guys to get Jose Valentin back. Shouldn't that be in green? -
QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Jun 6, 2005 -> 11:17 AM) Crede is not as bad as we make him out to be. Over his short career with the Sox there's a pattern hitting-wise: at least one month he's an all-star, another month he's above avg, one month about avg, one month below avg, & one month he's poor. If you trade him after his all-star month he's worth a lot more. June was that month in 2004. He followed a poor May (.184A, .204O, .402S) w a monster June (.329A, .418O, .600S). He's just come off his worst month ever so maybe he's due for another monster June. Yeah hopefully that will happen to Crede, but if the trade is on the table for Kenny to make, then IMO, i'd say so long Joe.
