Big Ten Tournament 2016
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 10, 2016 -> 03:42 PM) Good God Groce is a f***ing moron. Why on earth is Tate in the game? edit: also the patented Groce CAN'T SCORE A f***ING BUCKET 10 MINUTE DROUGHT happened yet again. 5 pts in 10+ minutes. Pathetic. Not being able to score easy points against that weak trap was a problem. Twice they had a guy wide open under the basket and passed it out.

No coach whines more than McCaffrey. Maybe that has something to do with his team fading every year.

I thought I'd watched enough shootouts in my life but I don't recall ever seeing a team choreograph theirs before.

QUOTE (Tony @ Mar 9, 2016 -> 09:34 PM) Some day the Hawks will stop taking too many men penalties as well. Unacceptable the amount of time the Hawks spend in the box for that. It's their favorite penalty.

The Blues are just so dirty so often that it becomes the norm during the game. But it doesn't work that way during the playoffs.

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Mar 9, 2016 -> 12:17 PM) Tim Spencer is the RB coach. Former Ohio State assistant. Coaching Eddie George from 1994-2003. Any info on Spencer, Rock? He's not coming but he's a real good coach whose son is in the NFL.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 9, 2016 -> 02:23 PM) The NHL calls the charges against Kane "unfounded". The matter is officially closed as far as the NHL is concerned. https://twitter.com/TramyersCSN/status/707661968237133824 Not exactly a shock since the DA considered filing charges against the accuser.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Mar 9, 2016 -> 08:42 AM) Garrick McGee from Louisville coming on board as offensive coordinator. He has a reputation as a top recruiter and was one of the 20 highest paid assistants in college football last year. Also, turned down the Oklahoma offensive coordinator position last year to stay at Louisville. This really is a new day for Illinois football. Right way to hire. Recruiting is done by the assistants primarily so they each need to want to do it and also own a geographical area. One of the major weaknesses was the actual idenfication of recruits so the recruiting coordinator will be a big hire.

QUOTE (Tony @ Mar 8, 2016 -> 06:24 PM) Hawks have to wait to see what the Panarin bonuses will look like based on where he finishes in points. It could be as much as 2 million plus, and right now he is line to hit them. 2.575 I believe.

Kruger signed a team friendly bridge deal and trusted the Hawks. This was all part of the plan. Panarin doesn't become an RFA until next year so we don't have to worry about that money yet. Plus his cap hit is less than 900k Hawks still project to have 6 mil in cap space next season

QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Mar 8, 2016 -> 04:46 PM) One of those 4 will have to go, and I'm not entirely sure anyone wants Hossa, which leaves the other 3. I don't believe Bowman's thrilled with Kane's continuous off ice issues. Seabrook likely wouldn't be the one with his new huge extension. That leaves Hjalmarsson. Toews is untouchable and Anisimov's situation is similar to Seabrook's. Panarin's about to get 4-5/year too, as Bowman has already said his extension is his #1 priority in the offseason. Oh, and the cap is rumored to drop by around 4 million Any ideas from you guys? Yeah right. You dont trade the MVP because a girl wrongfully accused him of something this offseason. He's untouchable

The mentality of hitting is something I want to see though. They hit like s*** the last several years.

QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Mar 8, 2016 -> 04:21 PM) Aside from that, he's a 4th line player who only kills penalties. I think this definitely means goodbye to Shaw and maybe even Kane, Seabrook, Hjalmarsson or Hossa Wait what?

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Mar 8, 2016 -> 08:58 AM) Worst case is we stay bad and are out money. But that's pretty much it. We've been getting national attention for this move, good attention, I freaking love it. And frankly the strategy is pretty sound. Recognizable HC, throw money at assistants, and all you have to do is out recruit and out perform Wisconsin and Iowa.

White Sox HR totals should get a big boost this year
The early spring is going to help a bit as well IMO. I think closer to 200 than 150
