QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ May 29, 2015 -> 10:49 PM) Sure. I want it too. I just don't see it. I'd bet his OBP will be right around .300 the rest of the way home. I honestly believe his upside is Carlos Lee. -

QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ May 29, 2015 -> 10:44 PM) If Avi had a BABIP of .315 (splitting the difference between last year's .285 and 2013's .344, his triple slash (even if you remove nearly all singles) is somewhere around .245/.288/.381. Adjust it a little up if you think he's a naturally higher BABIP hitter. And if his BABIP was lower his ISO is probably higher. But it does show his line is mostly BABIP-generated. Unless you think he can maintain a BABIP around .411, or that he'll supplement a drop with a big power surge or increase in walks, I don't see how he's a great hitter right now (and before I hear he's "earned" a high BABIP with a lot of line drives, they are not at all sustainable). Then you get to the fact that his defence and baserunning are brutal, and I just don't see the big upside. He's not great yet but he's trending upwards which is a good sign. He puts in the work which is a good sign. part of my opinion is inside info plus faith. He's the type of guy you really really want to fulfill his potential. -

QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ May 29, 2015 -> 10:20 PM) What's he turned himself into? And what's his upside? He's hitting 327 and his upside is a star. I think Carlos Lee to be honest. Pretty good upside. -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 29, 2015 -> 10:14 PM) Dedication is overrated if a player's performance is seriously hampered by the injury, see Paul Konerko in 2012. That just hurts the team Agreed but look at what he's turned himself into. And his upside is tremendous. -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 29, 2015 -> 10:08 PM) And this organization has proven they listen more to the player than to the doctor, at least with position players I don't mind it with him. Look at his recovery last year. I posted that I heard he was coming back and he was right there. Guy is an animal. Transformed his body in the offseason too. We need dedication like that. -

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 29, 2015 -> 10:05 PM) Guess we don't know how much the personal issues affected Webb last year with his mother's passing. He's had arm issues as well. -

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 29, 2015 -> 10:03 PM) Supposedly Avi is playing tomorrow regardless. Avi is the type of guy that will fight you if you mention the DL. I still think he needs more time off from what I hear. The kid is so hungry. -

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 29, 2015 -> 09:52 PM) He is really good if he can throw strikes. Bur he gets like the big kid in little, league that throws gas but walks everybody and throws wild pitches. It feels like forever ago when I got that info. -

QUOTE (fathom @ May 29, 2015 -> 09:39 PM) They need a catcher and 3rd baseman. Conor doesn't hit well enough to deal with his horrible defense. Center and left field I firmly believe are ok regardless of their numbers, everyone knows how much I love Avi. SS, 3B, C are must haves. 2B is up in the air but that should be your 9 hitter. I really had faith in Soto. Great outing Carlos other than your one bad play at first. How can you not love this guy. I don't remember a team that rolled out three top starters that were all lefties but we are about to. -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 29, 2015 -> 09:34 PM) Coaches can't make up for the poor talent on the field no matter how good they are. The GM put great talent on the field and there's no way anyone can question the job this GM did putting this team together. How is that unclear to you? I don't agree it's poor talent. I think there is enough on this roster to compete. I believed in March and still do that this lineup is two guys away from being a real contender. They are underperforming
