QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ May 15, 2015 -> 11:13 PM) If the season spirals out of control at some point, then I think you start Johnson at 2B, Sanchez at SS, Smith at C, and give Thompson some time in the OF. Anderson is not close to being ready IMO. Unless he develops some patience in the second half of this season, he'll need to start next year at AAA. I would like to see Thompson as the 4th Of'er at some point. I do not believe in "rushing" guys since I think the game is very different at every level. I know im in the minority but I like some of that talent

This guys curve is ridiculous
-
QUOTE (fathom @ May 15, 2015 -> 11:07 PM) You think Anderson is the SS of the future? I know you said you liked him the other day. Yes I do. Maybe his stats arent there yet but I like him to replace Alexei and I feel like this is the time to deal him especially with better players coming on the market eventually.

QUOTE (iamshack @ May 15, 2015 -> 11:05 PM) Maybe it's because I'm watching the Oakland broadcast, but I don't have much of a problem with his zone from what I've seen. Maybe the Chicago feed was making those outside corner pitches look like strikes to you guys, but they all looked like balls on the Oakland feed. Some for Rodon were questionable but nothing crazy. Typical rookie strike zone

QUOTE (raBBit @ May 15, 2015 -> 11:02 PM) Well, I am going to go get drunk. I'll still root for the Sox though. Already halfway there. Shot a 74 on the golf course today, celebrated with mucho cocktails

QUOTE (iamshack @ May 15, 2015 -> 11:01 PM) I think his stuff is nasty...but pitching at this level is not just about stuff. There's plenty of failed mlb SPs with nasty stuff. I think I'm one of the few that would like to see the younger guys get some shots this year. I think its time to build while we still have Abreu, Sale and Q under control. Avasail coming around is a bonus as well. I'd like to deal Alexei as part of this.

Does Oakland PR know what that song is about? Its fairly inappropriate.
-
Remember the first game in Milwaukee? We were all ready to blow it up, but the time we left it was a success.
-
QUOTE (iamshack @ May 15, 2015 -> 10:55 PM) I guess I disagree...it just seems like if a guy can't play 2b by the time he's ready for AAA, he's not going to suddenly improve by leaps and bounds. I dont think it was totally necessary to send him down but I understand it.
-
Keep throwing that sinker, over and over
-
QUOTE (iamshack @ May 15, 2015 -> 10:53 PM) Come on, it's not as if he's been so incredibly dominant for some prolonged period of time down there. Do you not think his stuff is ready?
-
QUOTE (iamshack @ May 15, 2015 -> 10:51 PM) Well which is it? Send Micah down because we want to compete, but get Rodon the innings because we are not competitive? Different situations. Micah's defense was not major league ready. I think Rodon is. Plus I was not an advocate of sending him down but you have to since our SS isnt covering for his defensive ineptitude.

QUOTE (fathom @ May 15, 2015 -> 10:47 PM) I will never understand why they rushed him this year. He was struggling to throw strikes in a few of his Charlotte outings (one exhibition included) I do not agree. He's ready, you have to give him innings in the majors while the Sox do not appear to be a real contender. He has the talent to succeed and be incredible in the next couple of years.
-
QUOTE (raBBit @ May 15, 2015 -> 10:46 PM) While the A's are doing the exact opposite. Letting Rodon get squeeze and struggle with dealing with it. Theyve basically eliminated the outside corner
-
QUOTE (fathom @ May 15, 2015 -> 10:44 PM) His command is atrocious...not going to give him much of a chance to go longer than 5 innings most games. 6IP last game. That homer f***ed him up tonight, he was cruising until then. He needs to understand his stuff is good enough to challenge teams
-
QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ May 15, 2015 -> 10:43 PM) They never crawled out of it. What were you watching? IN may the Sox are 2nd in the AL in batting average and 11th in runs scored. A huge improvement.
-
That homer scared the s*** out of Rodon Thats a f***ing strike
-
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 15, 2015 -> 10:42 PM) Offense crawled back into a hole. Typical Swinging at pitchers pitches and getting themselves out.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 15, 2015 -> 10:40 PM) Rodon is a rookie with great stuff, Samardzija is a middle-rotation starter in the middle of a terrible rut. Out of those 2? Right now I'll take the rookie until the veteran pulls out of the rut. Danks isnt going deep, we know that. So Shark has to. This why a guy like (im going way back) like Scot Shields is so important to a pen. You need to find a guy with a rubber arm that can eat quality innings when your rotation gets short on innings, especially on the coast.
-
QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ May 15, 2015 -> 10:38 PM) This is why that first inning sucked I said the same thing, needed four runs. Of course it was still one of our best first inning performances of the year. Which is sad
-
QUOTE (TitoMB @ May 15, 2015 -> 10:39 PM) he did go out.... Oh my bad, I was pissing.
-
QUOTE (Dunt @ May 15, 2015 -> 10:37 PM) Where the f*** was Cooper that inning? Your rookie walks 3 and you don't even go to the mound? Should have gone out after the second one, weird.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 15, 2015 -> 10:36 PM) Danks/Samardzija right? So our 2 weakest pitchers follow? Yeah thats not good. Danks will go 5, 6 max. Pen has to step up this series
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 15, 2015 -> 10:34 PM) We're also hurt because he's >80 pitches through four so early bullpen outing tonight. Who is pitching the next two?
-
QUOTE (raBBit @ May 15, 2015 -> 10:33 PM) Yeah, I guess you can use the public transportation...oh wait... Solution: Ride a motorcyle
