  1. QUOTE (raBBit @ May 15, 2015 -> 10:07 PM) Soto hasn't been great this year but I like him. He just went out there to tell Rodon that s*** was nasty. Seems like Soto is Rodon's personal? Seems like Flowers has Sale/Danks/Q and Soto has Shark/Rodon. One thing I like about him is he is much more social in the clubhouse, I like catchers that are in the inner circle.
  2. QUOTE (raBBit @ May 15, 2015 -> 10:05 PM) On cue. The confidence two double up on the slider on 3-2 and throw it from two different angles. Thats incredible at his age. He will have some bad starts where he cant find it, but when its on hes filthy.
  3. QUOTE (raBBit @ May 15, 2015 -> 10:02 PM) That is my favorite thing about him. That start against the Royals in ST was so impressive. Different trajectory/speed on all of his sliders. That's how you get an 80 grade when you're a junior in college. It takes a long time to master multiple speeds on multiple pitches. His ceiling is high
  4. QUOTE (JoshPR @ May 15, 2015 -> 09:50 PM) And I spoke and the 96 came He changes speeds on all of his pitches. Thats what makes his so dangerous. He has 3 different sliders. At his age thats insane.
  5. Anyone like beer cocktails? Here is one of my favorites: Shave and a a haircut Left hand milk stout Sailor Jerry Rootbeer/Coke
  6. QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 15, 2015 -> 07:05 PM) I'll get more people to watch Iowa State someday. I watch those games but it's definitely more for the pure fan. I like watching the Big 12. They are always represented in the tourney and it's good to see the other power conferences.
  7. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 15, 2015 -> 07:43 PM) So apparently Thibs was adamant against hiring an offensive assistant last year? Come on man. Even in top tier college ball the good college coaches have specialized staffs. In the NBA you have so many more resources to make a good hire and enable him to be effective. It's baffling. Every great coach had people on their staff that owned one side of the court or another.
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 15, 2015 -> 07:02 AM) The Bulls flat out looked defeated after the Cavs put the 2nd quarter run on them. The rest of the game, every loose ball got to Cleveland, they got every big rebound, including most of the key offensive ones, and the offense broke down. They looked like a team that knew they weren't winning. It was sad. It looked like they quit, especially Rose. He said all the right things in his post game interview about Thibs but his play said something else.
  9. QUOTE (Knuckles @ May 14, 2015 -> 09:17 PM) By who? LeBron? Lebron had no effect on the rotation and extended stretches off offensive ineptitude.
  10. Cleveland doesn't play good enough defense for the Bulls to go that cold. They just f***ing stand around.
  11. 20-4 run. Enjoy the offseason boys. A coaching staff that actually knows how to coach offensive sets would be nice.
  12. QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ May 14, 2015 -> 08:11 PM) Cavs miss blow the whistle JR shoots 3 okay Welcome to lebrons world.
  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 14, 2015 -> 05:23 PM) Link Both of them have had prior issues so I can understand the zero-tolerance thing happening here and will not complain, hurts the team next year though. How many schollies did Crean need again?
  14. QUOTE (SCCWS @ May 14, 2015 -> 03:58 PM) This sounds like strictly a defensive change because Sanchez has been in a slump all of May. He also has a terrible BB/SO ratio but he was hitting for average early on. Sounds like Beckham will be playing a bigger role Defensively the team has been awful and part of that is the middle infield is brutal. Need to shore up at least what they can.
  15. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 14, 2015 -> 02:48 PM) To me, this is a short-sighted move. If they weren't willing to be more patient with him than this, they shouldn't have made him the stater. They didnt forsee the rest of the lineup starting off so s***ty.
  16. They've told him that he needs to focus on his defense. Makes sense.
  17. QUOTE (kevo880 @ May 14, 2015 -> 10:22 AM) I'm late to the party here, but growing up about 15 minutes away from Greenbush I have to say it has been a huge addition to SW Michigan. Great beers and something that was very needed in the area. I went to college in Kzoo so I have a small preference to Bell's over Founders, but both are great as well. I've been out in Denver for the last 5 years and I saw someone mention Prost Brewing. I've only been once and found it enjoyable. Right down the road is Denver Beer CO and I have spent a lot of time there. Delicious beers and great atmosphere. New Belgium in Ft. Collins is one of the coolest businesses, let alone breweries, that I have ever heard of. That would be a dream place to work. They treat their employees like gold and their employees are all part owners. I finally checked out the new Avery Brewery in Boulder last weekend and was blown away there as well. Not only do they have my favorite IPA, but their food is incredible. They smoke a ton of their food right outside the taproom and they keep the windows open so the smell makes it so you can't say no to eating there. I could go on and on about CO breweries though. If any of you ever come out here it is definitely worth checking out some of the different breweries in the area. Seems like there are new ones popping up every week, but the big ones really are worth the hype. So you smoke and then go in to enjoy the smoked food.
  18. QUOTE (Brian @ May 13, 2015 -> 06:21 PM) Brandon Peters and Falcon should both be 5 stars by the time they sign. Plus 3 other 4 stars verbals so far. Of course winning 8 games next year would help. Those two aren't even top 100 guys on scout. That's a stretch to say they are five stars to be. Right now Michigan needs to do a lot of work.
  19. QUOTE (Brian @ May 13, 2015 -> 04:10 PM) 2016 class is looking solid if the kids stick. Not really. Harbaugh isn't recruiting as well as Michigan should. They will end up with at best the third best class in the conference at this pace. Maybe even fourth.
  20. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 13, 2015 -> 02:58 PM) As Bulls fans, it is a bit hypocritical complaining about LeBron's calls vs. what MJ used to get, but this one call last night really bothered me because they were watching in over and over and came to the conclusion they did. Joey Crawford and the 2 dopes with him should be suspended for the rest of the playoffs for that call after a review last night. Giving a T the next day is nothing. Giving Cleveland 2 shots and the ball when it was their guy that was at fault should be a fireable offense. I could understand it if there was no replay, but the decision made after watching it over and over makes the NBA look bad IMO. Jordan got calls but the game was overall much more physical when that did happen. Now they make calls because they assume there will be a foul. There also wasnt nearly as much traveling/eurostepping. And with that technical, does that mean the Bulls win? The Bulls get free throws? Oh wait, it means nothing.
  21. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ May 13, 2015 -> 01:27 PM) No, just like the Michigan map will never change no matter how many years MSU is better than UM Good comparison. Harbaugh better sign some players or he is going to be under MSU awhile.
  22. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ May 13, 2015 -> 11:41 AM) http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2014/10...=0002&abg=1 I wonder if that Texas map will change now that they are the 4th best team in state.
  23. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ May 13, 2015 -> 09:37 AM) Are these guys just soft? Beckman isn't really known as a wildly tough coach, every football coach will get in your face at some point but from accounts he isn't the hardest out there by far. So does it really come down to that a lot of players don't respect Beckman, especially those who weren't recruited by him? I think that's more the issue, and this other stuff happened at some level and Simon wanted to use that to gain an edge on him. Some of the things reported, like the purple injury jerseys, are stupid and seem like a typical Beckman move that needs to go. I dont think what he's doing is very unusual but I think there isnt a lot of respect for him with some of the older guys. I know when he sent coaches to PSU to poach players that he lost some respect with the current roster. Not sure if that weighs in here. Threatening kids in many different ways happens across all D1 sports so its not something that is unique to this situation, the players speaking out is kind of a bad sign though. Maybe it will end his career at Illinois which is what most fans want anyway (I think).
