  1. I don't know how well this will work, but the Dems really need to take it to the Republicans in this election. So at myDD.com, they're Google Bombing the elections. If you've got a blog, help get the following articles to the top of Google searches. Here are some informative articles about important Republican candidates running for Congress: --AZ-Sen: Jon Kyl --AZ-01: Rick Renzi --AZ-05: J.D. Hayworth --CA-04: John Doolittle --CA-11: Richard Pombo --CA-50: Brian Bilbray --CO-04: Marilyn Musgrave --CO-05: Doug Lamborn --CO-07: Rick O'Donnell --CT-04: Christopher Shays --FL-13: Vernon Buchanan --FL-16: Joe Negron --FL-22: Clay Shaw --ID-01: Bill Sali --IL-06: Peter Roskam --IL-10: Mark Kirk --IL-14: Dennis Hastert --IN-02: Chris Chocola --IN-08: John Hostettler --IA-01: Mike Whalen --KS-02: Jim Ryun --KY-03: Anne Northup --KY-04: Geoff Davis --MD-Sen: Michael Steele --MN-01: Gil Gutknecht --MN-06: Michele Bachmann --MO-Sen: Jim Talent --MT-Sen: Conrad Burns --NV-03: Jon Porter --NH-02: Charlie Bass --NJ-07: Mike Ferguson --NM-01: Heather Wilson --NY-03: Peter King --NY-20: John Sweeney --NY-26: Tom Reynolds --NY-29: Randy Kuhl --NC-08: Robin Hayes --NC-11: Charles Taylor --OH-01: Steve Chabot --OH-02: Jean Schmidt --OH-15: Deborah Pryce --OH-18: Joy Padgett --PA-04: Melissa Hart --PA-07: Curt Weldon --PA-08: Mike Fitzpatrick --PA-10: Don Sherwood --RI-Sen: Lincoln Chafee --TN-Sen: Bob Corker --VA-Sen: George Allen --VA-10: Frank Wolf --WA-Sen: Mike McGavick --WA-08: Dave Reichert
  2. Hey, for those who are still looking for a fantasy league: I started a 5x5 roto league on Yahoo. It's a 1st year keeper league (you keep 5 at the end of the season) and if you're interested, head on over to Yahoo's fantasy baseball. The league name is Jeeper's Keepers, id #294129, and if they prompt you for a PW (they shouldn't but if they do) it is "5x5". By the way, the draft has to be tomorrow, since there are no slots available on Yahoo for Sat. or Sun. Right now it's tomorrow at 4:30, but you don't have to be there. You can pre-rank players in Yahoo, and it will auto-draft for you. But for those of you like me who prefer Live Drafts, you can also go that route. I am also flexible about changing the draft time too.
  3. The NL Central is the division of mediocrity this year, everyone lost huge offense (except Milwaukee). The Cubs have the pitching to feast on a lot of ho-hum teams. I wouldn't have taken that bet, at least not at that much money.
  4. I don't believe that Mets rumor. I think he's already a Tiger. All things considered, I think Maggs (if he gets 5 years at $11-12mil) did very well for himself. I wouldn't worry about the Tigers either, even if they signed Maggs. Remember when we had a healthy Thomas, Ordonez, Konerko, and Lee in the lineup? Were the Twins scared? No.
  5. As much as Kenny likes Carl, if there's value for him, he'll be moved. I don't see the Cubs being the destination for Carl though. If he's moved, it'll be around the trade deadline, when Kenny's certain he doesn't need Carl anymore.
  6. I live in LA, and haven't heard anything out here about this rumor. I doubt it will happen, because of the money, but this would be a GREAT trade for the Sox. That's a lot of value for Crede, who doesn't really have a lot of value, but this is dependent on too many things to happen. You never know, though... DePodesta is blowing up the Dodgers, and Kenny may be in position to swing a great deal.
