QUOTE(Dick Allen @ May 31, 2006 -> 08:58 PM) A-Rod's playing 3rd, even though he's a better SS than Jeter. with the way the rangers were playing back then, i think anyone would have done the same, move over to third to play for the yanks

someone mentioned that KW was interested in izturis, so how about him?
-
QUOTE(JDsDirtySox @ May 31, 2006 -> 08:54 PM) Vernon Wells is a Free Agent at the end of this year I believe. He told the Jays he wanted to hold off on a new contract because he wanted to go through free agency. My bet... in the year 2007 Vernon Wells is playing RF for the Yankees or Red Sox. hes a gold glove cf'er, i dont think he would want to play rf....but when it comes to money, they play anywhere i guess

QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ May 31, 2006 -> 08:49 PM) I don't think it was Rios. I thought it was Wells they were trying to trade. nah, it was rios, actually might have been both because wells was really struggling at the begining of last year. >is kenny REALLY serious about getting izturis?
-
QUOTE(Dick Allen @ May 31, 2006 -> 08:47 PM) I remember that. He definitely was available. He's not anymore yea im pretty sure he was, man that guys a stud though. >sox yesterday, today :puke :sleep :sleep :sleep :sleep

correct me if im wrong, but wasnt toronto trying to trade rios last year because he wasnt hitting for enough power. im almost positive i heard that they wanted to trade him because they werent happy w/him.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 31, 2006 -> 08:40 PM) Politte is getting hit hard. On the Score today they were pimping that Kenny wants Cesar Izturus who is still rehabbing. That he is on Kennys radar. wow, that would be awesome if we could get him, he is an all-star/gold glove ss how bout uribe and a minor leaguer
-
QUOTE(aboz56 @ May 31, 2006 -> 08:38 PM) You may wanna take out Politte, Oz. has he given up any earned runs? >i dont know why hes struggling so much this season. supposebly he doesnt have enough confidence.he had a GREAT season last year and pitched in the f***in playoffs. how much more confidence do u need??
-
QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ May 31, 2006 -> 08:33 PM) Pirates gave the Cubs the division in 2003. They're in the same division. But yeah, trades within the division never happen. 1-0 reds over the cubs in the 6th

i was looking to see which cf'ers we might be able to get, aint too many good choices. http://www.sportsline.com/mlb/playerrankin...egularseason/CF

QUOTE(CWSOX45 @ May 31, 2006 -> 08:28 PM) Great, Paul Byrd is pitching tomorrow....another pitcher we've had so much success against. Can we just get back to the Cell please? Jesus Christ. contreras is pitching tomarrow-thank god because if he wasnt.....

QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ May 31, 2006 -> 08:25 PM) I'm trying to figure out why Minnesota wouldn't trade Hunter to the White Sox. The guy's a free agent at the end of the year anyway. If the Sox want him, they can sign him at that point. hes the hear and soul of that team. although they might consider trading him within the division, we would have too give up way to much
-
QUOTE(Chet @ May 31, 2006 -> 08:25 PM) Correct me, if I am wrong, but I don't think we have been shut-out all season. the last time we got shut out? last sept, 8-0-in cleveland
-
QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 31, 2006 -> 08:19 PM) If you're in the NL West, you're essentially in the race for a division title. thats too bad. i wouldnt mind seeing byrnes out in center 322 9 21
-
QUOTE(Chet @ May 31, 2006 -> 08:19 PM) What always drives me more crazy is that every time we have a hard time against an opposing pitcher, Hawk and especially DJ, describe the guy as if he is the second coming of Nolan Ryan. lol like when meche was pitching great against us through like the first 5-6 innings, he kept talking about how good he was and all the potential.
-
QUOTE(fathom @ May 31, 2006 -> 08:17 PM) Quick question....why does Hawk keep saying we haven't clicked all year? We had like 6 guys in the lineup hot at the same time for 3 weeks. Not many teams get that fortunate the whole season. we havent clicked as in the whole team. we havent had really any stretches in which our sp, bullpen, defense and hitting have all been there
-
how bout eric byrnes? or would he not be available?
-
QUOTE(fathom @ May 31, 2006 -> 08:15 PM) Is it being a bad fan to hope Politte gets rocked here, and makes the Sox consider another pitching roster move? nah, we most likely are gunna lose anyways.
-
QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 31, 2006 -> 08:08 PM) Anyone want to know why Brian should be playing in CF? That's why. oh well, at this point it doesnt appear to matter if its 4-0 or 10-0. >what happened?
-
QUOTE(ThinWhiteDuque @ May 31, 2006 -> 08:05 PM) This isn't that surprising. We have 3 major holes in the lineup (LF, CF, SS)...The offense will struggle when the 3-5 slots aren't mashing. how is there a hole in lf? scottys been ok. but yea, besides 3-5 hitters the rest of the lineup hasnt helped in terms of scoring runs.
-
can ozzie please b**** at these players. we won the next two games when he blasted them, i think we need another wakeup call :banghead >on a serious note:we need a comeback win here!

QUOTE(jphat007 @ May 31, 2006 -> 07:58 PM) Westbrook mowing us down. Very impressive tonight. when u look at his numbers, they look terrible, the league hits him good. hes always good against us though. everyone mentions we look lifeless anf flat today. weve looked like that way too many times this yr, which is why its been so fustrating. uribe:
-
QUOTE(jphat007 @ May 31, 2006 -> 07:54 PM) More just not hitting, with a small lack of execution mixed in. when u think about it, we havent hit westbrook that good in a while. wether it was opening day of last yr or the second game this year and from the looks of it tonight.
-
i havent watched one inning. i see we havent scored a run. so whats up?: poor execution, no hits, stranded runners, great pitching by westbrook or what?
-
QUOTE(chisox72 @ May 31, 2006 -> 04:46 PM) I am kind of suprised at Cintron getting the nod tonight, considering how pissed Ozzie probably was after his 9th inning brain cramp last night. i think gooch needs a break, he looked terrible yesterday. even befor the game ed farmer said that iguchi looked tired the day befor and then he goes 0-5 yesterday. we havent done to well against westbrook in the last couple of times weve faced him, it makes sence to put a lefty in.
