  1. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 15, 2014 -> 06:48 AM) Lucic classing up the handshake line after losing Nothing like talking s*** to a team that just came into your stadium and beat your ass.
  2. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ May 14, 2014 -> 10:47 AM) I'm sorry what? Nordstrom is brutal. But you can slot Regin in. Or #freemorin. With the Hawks, he could be deceased and they'd still call it day to day. No good information coming out. It wouldn't surprise me if he was out the whole playoffs, even if they say "day to day" and now "closer to being day to day" I thought Nordstrom was fine last night for the 7 minutes he played.
  3. So between Joakim Nordstrom and Peter Regin playing well, hopefully we don't have to look at Bollig the rest of the playoffs.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 13, 2014 -> 08:51 PM) The one in that Bond series that really doesn't fit was actually one of the better ones that very few have seen...the one with George Lazenby (On Her Majesty's Secret Service) where he's briefly married. That is one of my favorite Bond movies. I thought it had probably the best ending of any Bond movie.
  5. QUOTE (Brian @ May 14, 2014 -> 06:51 AM) Do goalies crap themselves when they see Kane coming at them in space with the puck? I would. I would just start screaming and throw my gloves at him.

QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ May 13, 2014 -> 03:44 PM) I'm not sure that's a good example. James Bond wasn't really "rebooted" until Daniel Craig and Casino Royale. Some of the series peripheral cast (M, Q, Moneypenny) stayed the same despite changes in the actor playing 007. Other roles (Blofeld, Felix Leiter) changed even between the Sean Connery films. And Judi Dench played M to both Pierce Brosnan and Danile Craig. With every new actor playing Bond, the series felt different. Some of the small characters stayed the same, but almost every era feels different. I just don't really mind reboots. The only problem I have with it is that we get too many origin story movies.
  7. Why are the Bears always the first team to sign it's draft picks?

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 13, 2014 -> 02:15 PM) oy! So another "reboot". I have zero faith in DC to make a proper DC universe. Most movie franchises get rebooted. Most actors don't want to spend their whole careers playing the same character. Look at James Bond.
  9. QUOTE (bmags @ May 13, 2014 -> 02:15 PM) No kidding. You have to have been really, really redflagged for people not even wanting risk of a UDFA contract. He didn't even get a tryout.
  10. No one has signed Colt Lyerla. What a waste of talent.

That new Batsuit looks awesome. Affleck looks pretty bulked up.
  12. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 13, 2014 -> 11:05 AM) Even with Julio Jones, I still think there's some regret by the Falcons on that deal. I think the Bills trade was better than the Falcons. Falcons had to give up an entire draft for one player. Gutted their depth.
  13. I think most if not all of those guys I listed are #1 WR, if not I don't know what a #1 WR is. I do think that term is way overrated.
  14. Another reason I'm not big on the Watkins trade is that it's proven you can get really good WR in later rounds. Just look at some of the best WR in football. A lot of them were taken in 2nd and later rounds. Brandon Marshall Alshon Jeffery Jordy Nelson James Jones Greg Jennings Pierre Garcon TY Hilton Eric Decker
  15. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 12, 2014 -> 09:54 AM) Can't believe the Bills draft caught as much flak as it did on here. #1) Watkins was absolutely the best talent at wideout in the draft. He's fast, strong, quick, a great route runner, and there are really no questions about off-field issues or injury history. I've seen comparisons to Dez Bryant, AJ Green, and Demaryius Thomas, though the last one seems more as a route runner and performer than his height. The most comparable talent to Watkins is Beckham, and he's inferior at all aspects. #2) Stevie Johnson was traded because he's constantly hurt, didn't fit the Bills new offense, still had some value, and admitted to not giving 100% effort all year, including not lifting the previous offseason. I've always loved Stevie, especially as a route runner, but he's not an elite talent and so much of his value was his creativity in a spread, pass first offense with Fitzmagic at QB. #3) I have no problem with them giving up the 1st round pick next year. If the team is as close as they think they are, then it's going to be a mid to late 1st anyways. If it's not and they start to fall apart, then it was never going to matter in the first place and they'll start another rebuilding process in relatively short order. The Bills were pretty competitive in every game they played last year with the possible exception of the Saints and Bucs games and the difference, a lot of the time, was the lack of talent among the receivers and offense in general. Manuel has a full season to practice with these guys and has had a full year to study the playbook, he gets to work with his new and holdover receivers, and he has an upgraded offensive line. Frankly, it's all on him now, but the Bills have done everything in their power to address both sides of the ball this offseason. Beyond that, they did a lot in the draft in conjunction with what they did in the offseason too. They have running back depth like crazy now with Brown and Dixon behind Spiller/Jackson, they filled a lot of their holes defensively and worked at patching up their offense in the draft. The two biggest holes that they seemingly could have looked at were safety (where it appears Corey Graham will play, though it seems he'll move around) and DE (where it could be that Jerry Hughes and Manny Lawson end up playing similar to the Leo backer in Seattle anyways). I love the Bills draft. I'd be OK with an 8-8 season, but I honestly expect them to win 10 games this year. Only time will tell, but I don't think they are one player away from being a great team. They won 6 games last year in an awful division. I would be surprised if they even won 8 games next year.
  16. I bet Mel Kiper has done better than some GM's. It's tough to predict some of these guys. Some players are never good because of injuries or off the field issues.
  17. QUOTE (bmags @ May 9, 2014 -> 04:06 PM) Man I just can't get over how insane the Rams line is. I thought the Bears were gonna get Donald. I didn't think the Rams needed another good DL. Good thing they don't have a QB. Otherwise they might be dangerous.
  18. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 9, 2014 -> 03:27 PM) Buffalo just traded for Mike Williams a couple of weeks ago..............Johnson was odd man out. Trading for Williams was the first mistake. As Stevie Johnson is better and cheaper. They are not one player away from being a great team. Which is why the Watkins trade was so bad.
  19. Yeah, the Bills are having a bad two days. Why even trade Johnson? He is signed cheaply for two more years. They could of had a nice setup with Watkins, Woods and Johnson. Also why are the Panthers making this trade for Johnson?
  20. @AdamSchefter 5m Filed to ESPN: 49ers trading a conditoonal 2015 4th-round pick to Buffalo for WR Stevie Johnson, per sources. Pick can become a 3rd.
  21. QUOTE (bshah723 @ May 9, 2014 -> 12:10 PM) Ty Youngfelt ‏@TyYoungfelt 2m Bears entertaining idea of dealing next year's 1st to acquire additional 2 this year - have 5 players w/1st rd grade still avail, 1 top 15 Who do they have a top 15 grade on.
  22. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 9, 2014 -> 11:11 AM) My family is largely browns fans and they want Carlos Hyde real bad at the next pick. Cleveland still has 7 picks, so they could take one. They could take Hyde in the 2nd round or someone like Andre Williams or Charles Sims in the 3rd or 4th. Is there really that big a difference between those backs?
  23. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 9, 2014 -> 11:05 AM) Im wondering when the RB's will start getting gobbled up. 3rd round maybe. I don't see too many going in round 2.
  24. I bet there is a run on WR in the 2nd round. Marqise Lee Cody Latimer Allen Robinson Donte Moncrief Jordan Matthews
  25. If anyone wonders why the NFL wants to make the draft 5 or 6 days long. Look at the TV rating below. @Ourand_SBJ 1h Overnights: ESPN NFL Draft: 6.8 ESPN2 Blazers-Spurs 2.7 ESPN2 Heat-Nets: 2.6 NFL Net NFL Draft: 1.9 NBCSN Bos-Montreal 1.2 NBCSN Ana-LA: 0.7
