Adrian Woj of Yahoo mentioned the Bulls were frontrunners for Caron Butler, and then right after his report came out, Butler signed with another team. It's hilarious but these things go out there and nothing happens. If Washington wants Cespedes, they would have him signed right now. What is the wait for? It is almost February. Everyone wants to get a bargain with Cespedes for some reason. You think perhaps it has to do with his character or his inconsistency through the years. Have to be possibilities.

Still feels like the Nationals are being used to try to pull money out of other teams. They really are fine at OF and the only advantageous thing for them would be to move Werth in a corresponding move, but that will be very hard to do (in a way that benefits them).

Any of the starting Nationals outfielders could put up a pre-2015 Cespedes WAR year. But he'd improve them so I cant discount them having a need. I'm just surprised by it a little. Guess they seek perfection.
