It's funny Pham is the type of guy we should have signed last year and prior.

Apparently Korey Lee leads MLB in catchers throw velocity at 86.4 MPH.
He has a hose. If he hits at all, he's a 2 WAR catcher.

It's all due to Mendick and Pham for now...but hard to count on that holding up over time. Same with Sheets.
And pretty amazing how far off both Vaughn and Torkelson are from being even average at that position...which used to be the easiest to fill.
Big dick Mendick already at .4 fWAR. Maybe we can flip him for something. I think he's going to have a decent season. He understands modern hitting. Him and De Bong understand that you go up there looking to do damage in any count, at all times.

That's about the best lineup we can trot out if Eloy is getting the day off. Certainly looks better than a couple weeks ago.

Can someone please get through to Schriffen that you don’t call people out until you can actually do it. 6 win teams don’t “have something for you” when you come to town, except to cure exactly what ails your team (except Tampa)
It's strange how he's already doing the "Sox against everybody" thing when he's been on the job for about a month and has no real ties to the Sox being born in NYC. I guess tho that attitude is basically the only requirement for the job. It's certainly not baseball knowledge.

Can someone confirm that if he didn't except the assignment he would have forfeited his contract? Reporting on that is unclear. I'm just curious either way.

So many small moves add up to big mistakes with this org. I think the Tatis Jr trade was the baseball gods smiting us for a decade of them. This season is probably the 2nd smiting. We'll have another in 2034.

Slider speed bat who can’t hit a slider
The pitch to hit was the first one, he took it for some odd reason.

Odd for Stone to be critical of a guy who’s coming off ACL surgery a few years ago

If the goal is to catch the Marlins for worst record...
If Manfred wants some real innovation he'd make the Marlins and Sox play a 9 game series to avoid relegation to whatever league will take them.

Pierre and Pods...
Mistake with a breaking ball in the strike zone.
Yet another blown lead late.
Duran is back apparently.
Yea Pierre and Pods. Thing is, in their prime, those guys had actual other tools. It's like ok fine you can't throw but you can run and hit a bit. Meanwhile you have the zero tool player Beni.

Should be out of the inning if the LF had any arm. Pathetic. And then the 2nd run scores because of air mailing the cut off knowing you're throwing a fucking rainbow that has no shot.
I fucking hate this team man. But it's fascinatingly bad.

It's hard to believe that's a major league OF's arm. That was like when the dude with no arm airmails it back to the fungo guy.

He's a competent starting big leaguer. That's cause for excitement around here but I don't think anybody is really too happy he's one of our best players.
