Game 2: The DeathMarch Continues
QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 5, 2011 -> 10:20 PM) What is the question? He's going to be a starter barring something ridiculous. Thing is, if we're going into next year with a 5 man rotation including Peavy, you're going to need to basically have a 6th starter ready to go as well. If Danks is traded and Buehrle is kept, you can have Humber, Stewart and sale fight it out for that rotation spot and put the other in Charlotte. Or if you really believe in Axelrod, he'll be available in AAA as a starting option.

Game 2: The DeathMarch Continues
QUOTE (chiguy79 @ Sep 5, 2011 -> 09:28 PM) Banishment worthy...although I guess for admins it is ok...I had a friend say that when gavin had a nono into the 8th, next batter, hit. I don't worry about that any more since I counted down the last 10 outs for M-56.

Walker and Williams Argue
QUOTE (Tex @ Sep 5, 2011 -> 09:12 PM) I'm surprised, I'm certain you mean Oz's decision to play Mackowiak cost the division, not how Mack played. It's the decision, not the player ;-) And no, he's done it every season I can think of. Mackowiak ctually had one of his better seasons with the bat. The problem was he didn't know how to become twice as fast and get much better jumps in CF. Blaming that on the player is foolish.

Game 2: The DeathMarch Continues
Ways to get Rios out: 1. Fastball right down the middle.
-
Walker and Williams Argue
The flaw then continues to be the fact that Rios and Dunn have never been close to this bad before.

Short and quick nets a double for the shire.

Quietly so no one sees . . .
Very unreal. We are talking about Ozzies lineups right?

QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 5, 2011 -> 08:50 PM) I really doubt that. Bobby Jenks agrees.

Walker and Williams Argue
QUOTE (Tex @ Sep 5, 2011 -> 08:51 PM) I wish we had the chance to know. And nice dodge of the question. Has there been a single season where Ozzie has not inexplicably played and protected some player who didn't belong on the field? I'll go to my grave saying Mackowiak in Cf cost us the division in 2006. Rios and Dunn playing and Viciedo, De Aza, and Lillibridge benched or in AAA has cost more games than that this year.
