  1. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 06:32 PM) Mark pitching like a motherf***in ace tonight. Mark's on pace to be something like 8-1 in his career against the Rangers.
  2. Mark, thank you for showing our other pitchers HOW TO PITCH WITH A &$*$&$(@^&$(&$&^*%(@^%( LEAD!
  3. All right, I spend 10 minutes b****ing at Windows (Screw you Bill Gates) and the Sox take a 5 run lead. Smooth.
  4. Uribe and Anderson are our best hitters suddenly
  5. Interesting point... so if a Police Officer enters your house without knocking and Identifying, do you have the right to shoot first?
  6. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 02:55 PM) the supreme court will overrule it anyway. Freedom of expression should not be criminalized. What's next? I can't call bush and cheney cocksuckers? The Supreme Court can't overrule a Constitutional Amendment.
  7. QUOTE(3RDBASE @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 04:09 PM) LOSE TRACY OR LOSE VAQUEZ...UMMM I WILL GO WITH LOSING TRACY Would it get Brandon into the rotation?
  8. QUOTE(Contreras @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 03:56 PM) #10 in the White Sox organization (which is usually ranked in the middle fo the pack)= #250 or so in the country = Nothing When you rank below Jerry Owens in 2006, you have issues. Sometimes, the position a prospect projects to can impact where they rank in those. A left fielder might be ranked higher than a middle relief pitcher, for example, even though you need both.
  9. QUOTE(chitownsportsfan @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 01:54 PM) This trade might come back to bite KW in the ass. Only because Javier Vazquez keeps giving up hits like candy.
  10. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 12:56 PM) Well, you're in luck because I happen to enjoy those commercials. Great! I'm the guy who made them! No, I'm not an ad executive, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. (Last thing I hear = multiple gunshots)
  11. So let's see, you've run into Scott Ian and Jermaine Dye in the past week. Are you a stalker?
  12. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 12:19 PM) isnt there better help out there than Javier Lopez? There has to be. You know, I'm not really sure there is, not that could be had for Riske anyway. Think about this first...how many teams would currently consider selling something that could be used at the ML Level? I can count like 5 or 6. Now, how many of those teams have good bullpens? Now, how many of those have good bullpens with good lefties? Now, how many of them have good lefties they'd be willing to part with? There just aren't enough Loogy's to go around for most teams right now, and the Sox had roughly 3 lefties.
  13. QUOTE(Cknolls @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 12:04 PM) Did he avoid the grand jury 5TIMES????????????????????????????????????? Actually, I misread the original statement. Definition 1 of Elude should fit well with what Gergen was saying, as far as I can tell. He Eluded, evaded, escaped prosecution. All seem to fit to me.
  14. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 12:13 PM) http://www.breitbart.com/news/2006/06/15/D8I8LJBG0.html Amongst the documents found while chasing Zarqawi includes one that basically says the Al Qaeda in Iraq should try to get the US to fight a war with Iran to open up a new front and take the pressure off of them, also they were trying to destroy relations between the US and Iraqi Shiites Translated Text of the document Since this group is a Sunni group, I think all of that would be expected from them. So does this mean that if we don't negotiate with Iran, the terrorists win?
  15. From Today's Sun Times quick hits I just thought that fit in well here.
  16. QUOTE(Cknolls @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 11:54 AM) Did Rove leave the country????????? David Gregory asserted: "Mr. Bush dodged several questions about Karl Rove eluding prosecution in the CIA leak case." A smart snob like Gregory should know the definition of elude. Dictionary: Elude Well, as far as I can tell, that is an accepted usage of the word "Elude". Not the most common one, but it's at least included by several dictionaries (not all).
  17. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 06:13 AM) So true, Kilborn never saw the success that he would have had he stayed on the Daily Show in the first place, Jon Stwart is just beyond annoying in my mind. Colbert blows his ass out of the water too. You're right on the 2nd part...I still very much Enjoy the show with Stewart as well. Colbert blows his ass out of the water because Steven has been so damn good.
  18. QUOTE(Hangar18 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 11:19 AM) and if im not mistaken, Riske is making pretty minimal money also correct? This is a great deal $1.8 mil for the full season, so it's about $1.2 left this year.
  19. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 10:53 AM) Poorly written press release. It almost sounded like Tracey was part of the deal. made sense to me.
  20. QUOTE(Dam8610 @ Jun 14, 2006 -> 04:39 PM) Dominance in reliever form: At least he'll probably be the best available. By the way, Matt Kemp absolutely destroyed a pitch from Linebrink last night.
  21. QUOTE(tigerfan @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 10:42 AM) Wait, I think I'm misunderstanding which play you're talking about. I'm thinking of the play against Toronto at US Cellular, where it was a grounder to short, and the guy made the throw off balance sort of, and still got the out at first. Is this the same one you are referring to? It was more than just "off balance", the guy was completely horizontal. Mid air on his side, flipping over. Follow This LInk, scroll down to April 15th, and select Iguchi's Tremendous throw.
  22. QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 10:39 AM) Good. Let everyone think that...and when Riske pulls an El Duque '06, who'll be laughing then? El Duque 06? the 5.51 ERA? The whopping 4 starts for the Mets thus far? Huh?
  23. So, the one thing I will note is that the Sons of Sam Horn, and Boston's media in general, appear to have soured rather quickly on Riske. He's been described thus far as inconsistent, among other things.
