  1. God I f***ing hate when games are on Fox on Saturday mornings. Have no option but the Radio. Anywho, winners of 4/5, comeback/late victories in almost all of them, different heros every night, good pitching, Iguchi going the other way, solid play off the bench, Pods getting hits, stealing bases...Welcome Back White Sox, we missed you. Finally seeing that this team has some balls in the last week.
  2. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 9, 2006 -> 11:45 PM) He got off to that really good start, but I think he might be hurt. He was overworked in a start a few starts ago at San Francisco, throwing 123 high stress pitches in only 6 innings in a loss to the Giants, and since then has been just blasted by the Cubs and Brewers, 2 squads that couldn't beat a girls softball team right now. I don't think it's a coincidence that he's been so bad since that Giants start, and I think in that Giants game he got hurt, because I've watched some of his last 2 starts and his location and pitch velocities are seriously messed up. Cards did bail him out and come back to win this one though. Mark Mulder hasn't been the same pitcher since, conveniently enough, 2003.
  3. QUOTE(Timoperezrulez @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 01:16 PM) damn why is oz taking bobby out, hes lights out Sizemore, Michaels, Hafner. Hafner has drawn the 0 for against Thornton this season.
  4. You know, as much as Jenks has been used lately, I'm not sure I like leaving him in here. Not that he's going to give up a run, I just don't want to break him completely down. Hopefully in the 11th they just hand this to McCarthy and say that it's his game until it ends.
  5. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 01:11 PM) Isn't that a much more limited sample? He only has 63 at bats for the full season, so everything with Pablo is a very limited sample.
  6. They may well just walk Thome here.
  7. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 01:09 PM) Terrible AB by Ozuna. I think why he only faces lefties usually. Pablo's hitting .389 off of Righties this year.
  8. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 01:08 PM) Pablo just needs to make contact on his fastball....and this game's over. Fixed.
  9. Steroids Betancourt in to take the loss again. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 01:07 PM) Lets get this over with now. Don't like our chances if this goes further. Our defense out there is mediocre at best. If you think our bullpen has been bad, their bullpen has been a disaster.
  10. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 01:06 PM) Walk off inside-the-infield bunt time? If you could get Victor Martinez to field it and have to make the throw...
  11. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 01:05 PM) Ozuna is walking off again.
  12. 1 more out and Jenks' ERA drops below 3.
  13. Well...maybe they should have bunted.
  14. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 01:01 PM) Well we know they're bunting now. If they want to give up Blake and bring up Peralta, more power too them.
  15. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 12:59 PM) Well, you gambled and lost, Ozzie. Wasn't Ozzie's fault.
  16. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 12:29 PM) Our biggest problem in this war is not finding and exterminating terrorist scum, however, it is people like you. People who lack the will to deal with the problem. People who say that it's too tough, people who don't like any methods that dont involve flowers and candy. The war against the Islamo-fascist movement is the first war in 2 centuries that the opposition can strike our homes directly and people like you wring your hands and say we can't do it. But see, the problem with people on the other side is that they just assume that the only thing you can do to get rid of a terrorist is to kill them, and they ignore the fact that a lot of the actions you can take to get rid of terrorists, like torturing them, killing them with aerial bombs that take out 15 civilians, launching wars, etc., just wind up giving vastly more people reasons to become terrorists. In a fight against things like Al Qaeda, violence can't just be a blunt instrument, it has to be a scalpel. If you kill 10 innocents in a bombing to get 1 guy, you can create 100 terrorists, or more. If you torture 1 terrorist, you can create 10 more. The only way we're going to ever actually "Win" this fight is going to be through finding a way to balance those 2 parts. Killing a guy like Zarqawi with minimal collateral damage? Good move. Rounding up 1000 Sunnis and holding them without charges? Bad move. Bombing that kills a terrorist but also kills 10 civilians? The terrorist better be Bin Laden.
  17. Mark stays in. Can't say it's a terrible decision, especially getting towards the latter 1/2 of their order. I just hope Ozzie keeps the leash short.
  18. Steroids Betancourt is warming again. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 12:52 PM) double steal? Not with AJ.
  19. Do you think they'd give Podsednik 2nd if he ran?
  20. Everyone who asked why Pods didn't pinch run...
  21. Come on Mack, let's get Mark the win!
  22. Can Crede pinch hit for Uribe, Cintron moves to short? Pods up. Go Go White Sox playing.
  23. AJ 0/2 as a pinch hitter this year. QUOTE(JimH @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 12:45 PM) Well it was bad luck but also you have to give Belliard credit as much as I hate to do so, he made a good play. Yeah, but the only reason he even had a play was that he was already moving towards 2nd because of the moving runner. Unbelieveably bad luck.
