QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Mar 4, 2006 -> 01:36 PM) This is all I care about over the next few weeks. I am not worried about the records. Brian Anderson The only one from the starters that it matters how he does is Anderson. He needs to work with Dye and Pods so they can get their collective communication together. He also needs to get some ABs and get a good feel before the grind starts. Bmac He needs innings, and to work on some touch up stuff. 2nd lefty/crapola Someone needs to seperate themselves from the pack. The rest of the guys are vets. They just need to get through this healthy, get their ABs or innings pitched. Work on a few items and then get ready. BA had one good swing/at bat today, and a couple which weren't so good. 1-3. Ripped a double on an inside pitch. BMac is still working on that 2 seamer based on his looks today.

Baj comes in. Hopefully he'll do better than last time.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Mar 4, 2006 -> 01:28 PM) :headshake :headshake :headshake Yeah, I think it'll take a little longer than a half week...let's just hope our guys know themselves well enough to know what to do to get into their rhythms. I'll worry when we get to April. Hell, we even got beaten up by the Brew Crew up in Milwaukee right before the season started last year. Let's just hope our guys know what to do. Sure did last year.

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Mar 4, 2006 -> 01:22 PM) They don't need to start turning it on until APril 4 or whatever it is. April 2 is opening day. April 4 is the ring ceremony. Chad Bentz is on.

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 4, 2006 -> 01:19 PM) How did Bmac look? Not great, gave up a run or two, got hit a few times, but my impression was that he was basically just working on the 2-seamer most of the first few innings. Barely used the curve or Changeup, or even the regular heater. Most of his pitches were between 87-90. The one fastball I saw him throw was up at 94. Saw him throw one nasty curve. But I think he was just workin' the 2 seamer.

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 4, 2006 -> 01:15 PM) I know it's only the 4th day of spring. But this is getting ridiculous. So who got smoked today? Mainly Haeger. 5 runs, 4 unearned, all 5 could have been.

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Mar 4, 2006 -> 01:12 PM) LOL, well you better get used to it under Ozzie. He plays the kids a whole lot, doesn't put pitchers in order to try and win, and plays stupid lineups depending on who he wants to see that day. I doubt Ozzie's teams will ever perform well in ST. Well, hwatever Ozzie did, it sure seemed to work out all right in the end last year. Can't say there's any reason to rush guys into it this early in the spring, especially after the late October games last year.

Man, I think Borchard is the only one I've even heard of out of the guys we just brought in.

Rusty Tucker in next.

Nice work Brian...good swing. Needs to work on that eye at the plate a little bit, and that outside pitch, but at least he got the inside one. Thome keeps hitting the ball to the wall.

QUOTE(iWiN4PreP @ Mar 4, 2006 -> 12:52 PM) true it aint all haegers fault just dont want to see him near white sox team this year IMO based on his performences as of late On that one I'll agree with you...Haeger does need some more work, but he at least looked like he has some stuff to work with.

Thanks for putting an end to that inning Gooch. Come on guys, get a few hits, make yourselves look decent. Who's even up this inning?

Sox vs. Diamondbacks (3/4, 1:05 P.M. CT)
So we've got that, we've got a bad throw to home, we've got the error by Grieve...yeah some of this ain't Haeger's fault.

7-0. You know, it would be nice to at least not be shut out by the D-backs.

Haeger ever gets to the big leagues, AJ's going to have yet another guy throwing 25 wild pitches when he's on the mound.
