This wasn't Mittens in 2012 or McCain or GWB, this guy took over the party because the base wanted to be able to be openly racist, and that wasn't a problem for his voters.

What's ironic is that we have these comments at the same time as we're seeing comments from the (notably fewer) people on the opposite side saying that these races are close because the voters are afraid of Socialism.

This is the version of the math I see. Biden needs a 68-32 split to overcome that deficit, so it’s at least still close.

Have you people not watched anything over the past 4 years? The corruption of the Department of Justice? Immigrant camps on the border and hundreds of children literally orphaned from their families permanently? Dismantling of EPA regulations and enforcement? Devastation of the ranks of scientists in the government? There's so much that's done explicitly by the Executive Branch. Don't forget things just because they don't impact you.

At the very worst we are guaranteed to have closed the gap to a 49-51, and that's with the absolutely expected loss of Alabama happening. And while the election may not be favorable for Democrats as an off-year race with a Democratic president, the Republicans will be defending 20 seats in 2022, the Democrats 14 (counting 2 independents and assuming GA runoff)

I think that 8% Biden National lead has a very good chance of translating to an accurate popular vote lead and a comparable House of Representatives win. That the electoral college and senate are so close is a testament to how undemocratic they have become as populations have moved and as efforts to suppress minority votes have become more effective.

As much as I don’t want to play this game, I’ve also lived through ballot counting being stopped by a riot so I will say this. Joe Biden should give a victory speech soon. The reason they tried this last night is that there was a chance it would work. Use the same tactic.

They returned their absentee ballots about 45 minutes ago and Biden picked up 4000 votes in that batch. Trump won that county but it narrowed when those ballots came through. They increased Biden’s lead. Edit: chair of WI dems:

Wisconsin has nothing left to count. Unless someone made a mistake somewhere it’s over. If Michigan turns pale blue today, I will take that deep breath. The others will take longer.
