  1. Only a sociopath would kill off his fake girlfriend the day his grandmother died. Its one thing that he had the hoax going to begin with, it goes to a whole new level of wtf when you look at the timing.
  2. Who else would've done it? ESPN (lol)? SI, maybe SI... but Deadspin is actually half legit.
  3. WSCR- ND knew about this 3 weeks ago. Covered it up. Shhhhiiiiiittttt
  4. I dont want to wind up like the Branch Davidians.
  5. Anything less than a WMD (biological or nuclear weapons) should be available for private ownership.
  6. Says who? You? Idiot lawmakers who have made a living stomping on our rights for the past 30 years?
  7. OK. Good, because this is exactly how I think it should be. If you keep it at home and only take it away from your home to go to the range then you should be able to own anything you really want. If you want to CCW or open-carry? You're in public, play by the rules. I'm glad we agree.
  8. I think Bennett is always going to be a complimentary guy but Jeffery could be very good next season, he really had a knack for getting open and making contested catches this year. Is that enough? One stud, one guy who's pretty good and another who's kinda mid-range? I'm not sure, but I'm not against adding someone else to that mix.
  9. Yea, that can easily go towards something much more valuable.
  10. I'm interested to see if Kromer thinks he can make Gabe Carimi the player we thought he could be. It'd be nice if he could at least fill a guard spot effectively (I've given up all hope on him being an NFL tackle).
  11. Yea there's still a lot to be done. Other than Lance Louis (who is a free agent) the Bears have no starting caliber NFL offensive linemen, Kromer should allow us to make the most out of whatever we get.
  12. Honestly, Kromer alone adds about as much to our OL's effectiveness as signing a free agent or spending a 1st day pick in the draft. Dude knows how to coach those guys.
  13. I've never brought up the cars/guns comparison except for once, I think I was pointing how banning semi-automatic rifles while leaving handguns is imposing a horsepower cap on cars. We also dont have a constitutional right to drive, and on our own property we can drive however the f*** we want. Its from public roads that we get traffic laws.
  14. I'm just saying leave that on the table as long as the pressing issues are resolved. I'm talking minimum of 1st or 2nd round pick AND solid free agent signing directed to the OL and finding a TE however they can. After that, if they have flexibility left, I'm all for another WR.
  15. Paea played well this year, I can trust him to hold down a spot. I'm not opposed to finding a mid-range guy to replace Melton or even look to Toeaina/Reed to fill in and draft some guy in the 4th or later to work into a rotation. There should be no meaningful investment to the defensive side of the ball, they did a lot of that last year in the draft.
  16. Sign me the f*** up. Alright, I'm starting to dig this more and more.
  17. Eh, other than OL and TE what other needs does this team have? The defense is pretty good across all levels, definitely NFL average or better. The RB's are solid, the QB is set. I'm really not opposed to going after a big name WR as long as there is a plan behind it to fix the OL. A Marshall-Wallace-Jeffery-Bennett WR group with a competent TE and Matt Forte could be really, really dangerous.
  18. He really did have a lot of intangible value. I know that kind of stuff gets derided as sportswriterspeak, but he makes the guys around him better. I'm OK with letting him walk though. I'm OK with cutting Peppers and Hester, I'm OK with letting Melton go. Whatever it takes, we need to put big resources into the offense. Does that mean Ryan Clady and/or Jake Long (we actually might have enough money to sign both--lol)? Mike Wallace? Wes Welker? Dwayne Bowe (though I think a WR like him would be a little redundant with Jeffery and Marshall)? I dont know, I'm going to hop on this Trestman bandwagon and I think Emery is aggressive enough to make big moves and thorough enough to limit the risk of those moves.
  19. This is horses***. "Somelike the VT shooter", and who the hell is that? You want the government investigating all Americans just to make sure they are OK to own a gun? f*** you and your police state. Why does the government have to be involved in every sale? What are they going to add to anything? Paying $50 in fees and filling out some paperwork just to feed the bureaucracy does nothing to make guns safer. You said you cant grow guns in your closet, which is wrong. And NY just went and banned firearms. I really dont care, if people dont want to enjoy their rights there so be it.
  20. Or we could just not ban stuff all the time?
  21. The ignorance here is pretty astounding. What roadblocks? Be more specific. I mean its obvious you cannot help but have government throw away billions on a bulls*** "War on <insert here>" to make you feel good, but at least give us something to go with. I could build an air rifle accurate to ~30 yards with stuff from a hardware store in a day. So could you. So could anyone. It'd be more than lethal. Also look up guns people have built in prison of like newspapers and s***, its not that difficult to do.
  22. Dave Toub is the new Kansas City special teams coach. That hurts us quite a bit.
