I'd probably move Sanders and Graham into Very Good then move Bond down to good now that I look at it.
-
Just a couple off the top of my head. Very Good: Lugar (R-IN) Fiengold (D-WI) McCain (R-AZ) Bond (R-MO) Feinstein (D-CA) Durbin (D-IL) Baucus (D-MT) Good: Hatch (R-UT) Graham (R-SC) Sanders (I-VT) Snowe (R-ME) McCaskill (D-MO) Adequate/Average: Franken (D-MN) Chambliss (R-GA) Bad: Dodd (D-CT) Coburn (R-OK) Reid (D-NV) Very Bad: Ensign (R-NV) Specter (D-PA) Landrieu (D-LA) Inhofe (R-OK)

First, the US Senate: Shleby (R-AL) Sessions (R-AL) Begich (D-AK) Murkowski (R-AK) McCain (R-AZ) Kyl (R-AZ) Prior (D-AR) Lincoln (D-AR) Feinstein (D-CA) Boxer (D-CA) Udall (D-CO) Bennett (D-CO) Dodd (D-CT) Lieberman (I-CT) Carper (D-DE) Kaufman (D-DE) Nelson (D-FL) LeMieux (R-FL) Chambliss (R-GA) Isakson (R-GA) Inuoye (D-HI) Akaka (D-HI) Crapo (R-ID) Risch (R-ID) Durbin (D-IL) Burris (D-IL) Lugar (R-IN) Bayh (D-IN) Grassley (R-IA) Harkin (D-IA) Brownback (R-KS) Roberts (R-KS) McConnell (R-KY) Bunning (R-KY) Landrieu (D-LA) Vitter (R-LA) Snowe (R-ME) Collins (R-ME) Mikulski (D-MD) Cardin (D-MD) Kerry (D-MA) Kirk (D-MA) Levin (D-MI) Stabenow (D-MI) Klobuchar (D-MN) Franken (D-MN) Cochran (R-MS) Wicker (R-MS) McCaskill (D-MO) Bond (R-MO) Baucus (D-MT) Tester (D-MT) Nelson (D-NE) Johanns (R-NE) Reid (D-NV) Ensign (R-NV) Gregg (R-NH) Shaheen (D-NH) Menendez (D-NJ) Lautenberg (D-NJ) Udall (D-NM) Bingamen (D-NM) Schumer (D-NY) Gillibrand (D-NY) Hagan (D-NC) Burr (R-NC) Conrad (D-ND) Dorgan (D-ND) Voinovich (R-OH) Brown (D-OH) Inhofe (R-OK) Coburn (R-OK) Wyden (D-OR) Merkely (D-OR) Specter (D-PA) Casey (D-PA) Reed (D-RI) Whitehouse (D-RI) Graham (R-SC) DeMint (R-SC) Johnson (D-SD) Thune (R-SD) Alexander (R-TN) Corker (R-TN) Cornyn (R-TX) Hutchison (R-TX) Hatch (R-UT) Bennett (R-UT) Leahy (D-VT) Sanders (I-VT) Webb (D-VA) Warner (D-VA) Murray (D-WA) Cantwell (D-WA) Byrd (D-WV) Rockefeller (D-WV) Fiengold (D-WI) Kohl (D-WI) Enzi (R-WY) Barrasso (R-WY) Next, the catagories: Very Good: Good: Adequate/Average: Bad: Very Bad: So let's mix and match each, have justification and avoid making judgments based on ideology. The criteria are pretty much how well they represent their constituency, the ethics of their tactics and the general character of themselves and their legislation. Obviously you should feel free to dispute what others say if you disagree with them, but answers such as "all are very bad/very good" are generally unacceptable.

They could stay in what has become symbolic of our imperialism, they could share a prison with incarcerated US military personnel or a bunch of high profile people could disappear in some CIA prison in god-knows-where. Somehow none of those options seem desirable.
-
lolwut I know jenks is joking around, but giving to Obama would've seriously been a better choice than this. Hell, give it to me for not having any part in the mess at all!
-
I would agree, they are a significant bunch. Dick Durbin said of the 4000 people staffing the place half would be from the surrounding area, meaning the other half are probably people relocating who need homes and amenities built into the community to support the extra population.
-
I would hardly call this pork at all. You gotta put them somewhere and you sure as hell have to staff the place to keep it safe. This isn't like giving IL a ton of money to build an empty prison and hire a bunch of people to guard air.
-
Stop broadbrushing kap. Just because I go after the very worst the Senate has to offer doesn't mean I think they're all bad.
-
Embarrassing. Hard to imagine a guy like James Inhoffe would have to settle for being the 3rd biggest asshole in the US Senate.

Arlen Specter is a s***head for switching parties and losing against a republican instead of a democrat. That's at least my partisan side's feeling. He's also terrible because hes a bad senator and when he does lose I'll be happy that he's gone. Joe Lieberman is just a rotten little who is stooping below even politicians standards for self promotion at the expense of legislature.

Terrorists dont have superpowers. Its not like they're going to break out of a federal prison and float around Chicago melting skyscrapers with their eyes.

http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2009-1...errorists_N.htm God knows we could use the cash.

Douche is a really nice way of describing Joe Lieberman.

What thread am I in?

Whoever said Pierre in LF, Rios in CF, Jones in RF and Quentin at DH is probably right. Minimize Quentin's injury risk and the defense is a pretty big improvement over that monstrosity we had last season.

If Hudson was part of this I'll be mad.

Its a political grenade, and once they pull the pin it'll be a game of hot potato to see who gets caught with the thing once it goes off. A lot of people are going to erroneously call it a cheap trick that skirts our principles.

"In my 17 years in the House of Representatives, I've never carried a bill which has been received with so much enthusiasm," Eshoo said. "Only the do-not-call list has even come close."

Mark Buehrle is #26 on Rob Neyer's top 100 players of the decade

I dont even like DukeNukeEm, just the name. I really dont like videogames much except for WoW. The 5 mans are fun too, some of the more difficult encounters I've had to tank.

Icecrown Citadel is super awesome. 4 loot pinatas then a boss that eats souls.

Its hard to even explain how irrelevant the presidency is to something like the Filibuster. If you owned the presidency and had a minority in congress you'd be pretty ambivalent about the Filibuster, it would accomplish nothing you couldn't do already. Unless of course you were interested in being able to do your job better in the future... but lol. The Filibuster is a tool for the minority in Congress to stifle legislation they dont like, its the ultimate mandate killer that would make Plato blush. I hope you explain how it makes perfect sense. Because for the life of me it sounds like you're just prepping up a "mean ole guvmint" rant.

A executive veto is like a Filibuster on crack. Your post makes no sense.
