I'm not using much expertise at all, just league trends. Even the Colts are going away from the Tampa 2 this year and it's paying pretty big dividends for them. If it's the players and not the scheme, well then nothing really changes. Either the Bears are suffering from a terrible gameplan or players who are woefully out of position on every single play, both of those are things are a coaches responsibility. Let's not even talk about the offense either, which may be one of the biggest wastes of talent I've ever seen by a coaching staff.

Not many good teams still use the cover 2, hell even the bad teams dont. The league has figured that defense out, wont stop Lovie from using it over and over and over and over regardless of personnel but hey, that's why you lose 46-10 right? Urlacher has been able to cover up how flawed we are defensively because he's athletic enough to stretch his zone out and terrify QB's. Now that he's done for the year this scheme is not going to work the way Lovie insists it can. Lovie will be gone soon though, they'll fire him in the offseason out of respect but he's worn out his good will from 2006.

This was the first bad game I can remember Tillman having in a long time. The guy's pretty good.

God that woman behind Franken is gorgeous. I want to work in DC.- Ozzie to work as TV analyst during World Series

I have calmed down after being angry, and here's some quick thoughts: Pros: Cutler- Played well again, made two mistakes that ended being INT's but if it wasn't for him there would be no 4th and [1 or 6] that far into Falcons territory. Him and Knox hve been the best players on this team all year, that was a great trade. The Receivers- Are a really strong unit, all the doubts about them at the beginning of the year are gone. Bennett, Hester, Olsen, Knox, Clark and Forte have all been playing well in the receiving game. Charles Tillman- Might be having his best season so far, teams dont even bother throwing near him and he's been rock solid as a tackler. Tommie Harris- Is he getting some of his swagger back? Garrett Wolfe- Laid down the meanest block ever. Cons: Interior OL- Just terrible, the Falcons got whatever they wanted up the middle. Forte- Two fumbles in back-to-back plays, judging by his track record though I'm thinking that was a fluke. Everything I didn't mention in Pros- A lot of people played poorly. Lots. We have two good receiving TE's, two good deep threats, two good RB's in the passing game and Jay Cutler. No more "we are a running team", just ditch that whole facade. The passing game has to open up, because running the ball with those interior three guys we have is just wasting downs.- Boy Floats Away in Balloon

Yea the story itself changes but the principle remains the same. If you want people to pay attention to you just (dont) do something ridiculous, kinda like this kid. The news media just churns out retarded s*** like this and somehow, someway people will not only lineup at the trough for feeding but defend their indefensible obsession with worthless news stories. You are what you eat cable news watchers.- Healthcare reform

There are about 310 million people who live in the United States. With that many people everywhere unusual s*** happens every single hour of every single day. But when the lead on every network and every homepage is about something as pointless as this it just reminds me of how mundane all of our lives really must be to even care. Unusual s*** that qualifies as news is something like landing an airliner in the Hudson River or sawing your arm off to get out from a boulder. Those were feats that very few people could even have fathomed doing, OTOH this story is a pretty standard case of stupid people being stupid.- The Democrat Thread
^ no kidding. I'm pretty sure you've all heard about the judge in LA who's stuck in the 1930's? See how crazy some people are in this country: http://www.conservativeunderground.com/for...ead.php?t=20544 A particularly good one.- The Democrat Thread
