Currently, the following judgment is passed. Up to 5 days in advance ARE allowed, but all questions have to be answered within a 2-hour deadline from the time specified for question PMing. They will not be qualified to be the winner for those questions. However, there is a slight problem: Since the winner gets to pick the next question, the next questions are not known. I need your thoughts on it... you've heard both sides. If it passes, that week's questions will be computer selected. Please post your responses.

QUOTE(Credepopsup @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 07:08 PM) No way. No self-respecting geek goes on vacation, whilst a useless trivia quiz is going on. Vacation or Quiz? - The choice is yours. Geeks go on vacation, they just bring a laptop and wireless internet with them

I know there's a big difference, but it's just a prefix. And some carbon monoxide comes from burning fuel, but CO2 is mainly produced. Here's the chemistry: CxHx(l) + air(g) = CO2(g) + H2O(g) + N2(g) + O2(g) ONLY IF combustion is incomplete (I.E. at a temperature CxHx(l) + air(g) = CO2(g) + H2O(g) + N2(g) + O2(g) + CO(g)

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 10:43 PM) Once I saw "rocket science," that was my cue to officially retire.. The categories may have nothing to do with the question. This is "rocket science" because they are launched on rockets.

QUOTE(knightni @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 07:02 PM) I thought of Sputnik right after I emailed you. Don't I get partial credit for giving the first US communications satellite? I was thinking of it... but it was only worth 11 points. A couple more points and I would have given you partial. However, your answer was more complicated... sounds like me... I'd give you points but it wouldn't be fair to everyone else. Sorry.

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 11:22 AM) Okay, I just posted this article, but I just posted an image of the table because I have no clue how you guys use the coding. http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/3695480 How do I make a table like that or certain stats look like Jabroni did in this post from a month ago? http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?sh...ndpost&p=682401 I can't be the only one that doesn't know how to do this. you either use a code box (by using the code tag or clicking the button), and then you enter your text in. I find it easier to write the table in Notepad, and then copy-paste everything in. However, in order to do it, you MUST NOT use the tab key... a M$ tab and a board tag are different. The other way to do it is to make an HTML table using your local web page editor (ie Dreamweaver) and then select "HTML On - Raw Linebreak Mode" in the Post Options box. Hope that cleans up confusion.
