  1. It looks like your sig is being hosted from minisotasoxfans album. Maybe he deleted your sig out of his album.
  2. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 01:23 AM) JHood and Lawrence Holmes 2 to 6 would be f***ing awesome. Quality radio. I would listen to that in a heartbeat. I loved the Jhood show when it was on and I also like holmes sunday night show both of them in one show would be awesome!
  3. Ive only been here a week and this is the best sox forum I have been to. I have felt welcomed here as I am sure most newbies have. With this thread and the announcement at the top by heads saying that the quality of this site has gone down has upset me, because from my first week here I noticed this is a great site. If this is how it is how good it is in its bad state, then it must be awesome in its good state!
  4. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 10:37 PM) I wish we had simply traded Paulie instead for Pods. We would not have to get Dye that way, and we could have simply signed a Timo Martinez kinda 1B. Lee in LF, Rowand in CF, Pods in RF and Everett as reserve OF/DH. Maybe we could have played Everett at 1B by letting Paulie go too.... Didnt the sox get dye before they made the trade?
  5. QUOTE(JimH @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 10:19 PM) I just looked at it. Three 20 something guys who probably are pissed they didn't get their email read by Hawk and DJ. Like wow, dude, too bad. Go put your baseball cap on backwards. They don't have the guts to identify themselves. Nice way to call somebody out, not. Put up a website, tell Mac Jurko and Harry about it and then hide behind an email address. Granted I like Harrelson but even if I didn't, these guys are still dirtbags. Take a look at their link buttons - they claim the entire Athletic nation despises Harrelson and to "prove" it, they link to some A's forum where two guys get upset because Harrelson called the White Sox "the good guys" in a game vs. the A's. Further, they say Harrelson has always been a douche bag, and to "prove" that, they link to Baseball History's brief bio of Harrelson's playing career. Lastly, they say even Tom Paciorek hates Harrelson (which I do believe they are on bad terms) and proves that by reprinting a thread from WSI where one of the posters there met Paciorek in the Atlanta airport and shot the breeze with him for 1/2 hour. I can hardly wait for the next installment of their Woodward and Bernstein investigative reporting. And what a surprise, guess what ... they'll be selling T-shirts saying Heave The Hawk. Hide behind blurry pictures and don't identify yourselves, but oh by the way please send us money. Yeah right. Even if you hate the job Harrelson does, anybody who buys a t-shirt from these hit and run clowns should have his head examined. These three goofs are the real douchebags in this case.
  6. That site has a horrible forum too. Soxtalk is much better.
  7. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 10:02 PM) Might be Kotex Boy too...
  8. QUOTE(TLAK @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 09:28 PM) I agree you could have gotten Pods for less, but it wasn't a one for one. Vizcaino and the ton of budget that turned into El Duke need to be considered. To compare speeders and bashers I like to use total bases + steals - caught steals because if the basher hits a double or more he doesn't HAVE to steal 2nd. CLee 132 + 7 - 1 = 138 Pods 62 + 31 - 9 = 84 Carlos is an offensive force, the White Sox gave up a lot to get they guys above and the trade helped both teams. If you look at it this way for giving up carlos we got pods, viz, duque, aj, and gooch. We would have never gotten duque, aj, and gooch without losing Lee's salery.
  9. QUOTE(southsider17 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 03:39 PM) I don't see a clear advantage either way. If you look at the record there the same but common the cubs are most likely going to end up with a better record then them.
  10. QUOTE(Cubs Suck23 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 03:29 PM) Really miss the Rockies BY JASON WILLIAMS Pioneer Press PHOENIX — The unbalanced schedule has been a hot topic since interleague play began in 1997. And the argument probably never will end, especially if it determines the American League Central Division race this year. The Twins' chief divisional rival, Chicago, had lowly Colorado on its interleague schedule, while Minnesota does not play the National League's worst team. The White Sox entered Wednesday's game in Denver looking for a three-game sweep of the Rockies, who had a 19-38 record — second-worst in the majors. Those games ultimately could decide what is shaping up to be a neck-and-neck race in the Central, with the first-place White Sox entering Wednesday with a four-game lead over second-place Minnesota. "I've heard people argue about that," Twins pitcher Kyle Lohse said of the unbalanced schedule. "It is kind of unfair when teams within in the division are playing different schedules and things within the division are so tight. But the bottom line, I think, is you've just got to beat the teams you're supposed to beat. And if you take care of your own business, you'll end up there at the end." Doesnt the twins play the brewers 6 times while we play the cubs.
  11. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 03:24 PM) And made B.K. Kim look like a f***ing ace. at coors field
  12. QUOTE(DePloderer @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 03:00 PM) ....and one inspired by the whole team. That sounds like it is going to be the best wallpaper ever.
  13. QUOTE(gettysburg32 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 11:51 AM) For as long as Woody's been around, we don't have many guys with experience vs. him. Thomas - 6/12, 2 2Bs, 1 HR, 3 RBI PODS - 4/17, 3/4 SBs Widge, Uribe, Carl, Timo, JD all with 4 or fewer ABs Hermy - 0/1 Harold Baines - 5/13 and you know how bad the sox have been agaist unfamiler pitchers these past few years
  14. Dont forgot a-rod would bring the fans to the park
  15. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 01:39 AM) ....and have his wimpy ass owned and his credibility shot to hell in the courtroom. What credibility
  16. Evert leads the Al in hits that gave his team the lead. He was hitting great tonight. There is no reason to trade him. You can start him 3-4 times a week. Once at Dh. Onces in left filed either sitting pods or putting pods in center and sitting rowand. Once in Rf. Im sure evert would be fine with 3-4 starts a week. He did see whatever was best for the team.
  17. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 01:08 AM) I agree with you there. Even though Pods isn't a flashy guy, he's been very valuable to this team. more valuable then anyone else i think
  18. QUOTE(sayitanitso @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 01:13 AM) It is an option when you are in Spring Training. you can also reach it from the begginning menu and you can play just for fun
  19. Hopefully this keeps him from going to the nba and he will come back to the illini. I think if he stayed for another season he might become a first round pick.
  20. QUOTE(knightni @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 12:31 AM) He fell through his coffeetable after hallucinating that spiders were crawling all over him. "Cocaine is a hell of a drug." wow lol
  21. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 12:29 AM) Don't be so sure, remember Griffey was supposed the smash the record also. Injuries happen, especially when these guys get into their 30's, and especially when you are as big of a boy as A-Rod. But still thats ridiculous to have 400 homers before your 30th birthday. Thats 40 homers a year from the time you are 19 years old. if i were griffey i would demand a trade to a Al team where i could play DH
  22. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 12:21 AM) Actually, our 3 best pitchers. Garland, Buehrle, and Garcia. I think contreas has been better the garcia this year.
  23. i heard he was on pace to hit number 756 in june 2013
