  1. Finally! A day where the Sox don't lose a game.
  2. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Jun 14, 2007 -> 12:24 PM) After yesterday, the Sox are no longer just the lowest scoring team in the AL. They've undertaken the Nats to become the lowest-scoring team in all of baseball. Are you going off runs per game? They've been in dead last in total runs for a while.
  3. QUOTE(hitlesswonder @ Jun 14, 2007 -> 09:55 AM) Because it doesn't matter? The Sox are years away from contending again, so it really doesn't matter where he goes. And anyway he will be a FA at the end of the season and then a Cardinal shortly thereafter. Didn't Cleveland suck last year? They retooled and look great a year later.
  4. QUOTE(DonnyDevito @ Jun 13, 2007 -> 03:19 PM) i don't think they will. foolish sox fans, or rich ones, keep going to the cell (30,000+) to spend $7 on a beer and $4 on a hot dog. the organization is taking the fans for a ride this season. they're just going to sit back and count their money. they're pinning their hopes on a top 5 draft pick next season. I would have to disagree. The reason this year will have packed crowds is because the season ticket base is still very high. I expect the number of ST holders to drop quite a bit next season if things continue on this path.
  5. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 13, 2007 -> 02:58 PM) Thank god for Bobby Jenks. He's the only thing worth seeing on the Sox right now. Too bad we never get to use him because we're always losing. I say we use him for all 9 innings of every game going forward.
  6. Wow. And we're doing this during the easy part of our schedule.
  7. Wow. Check out Zagurski's pic on gameday. No more Krispy Kremes kiddo.
  8. Well at least we hit the crap out of a Kendrick. 3 runs on 6 hits is fantastic.
  9. Come on guys. This game isn't over yet. *takes another hit from crack pipe*
  10. QUOTE(TheOcho @ Jun 13, 2007 -> 02:20 PM) You know what I would give for a player like Utley? No, what?
  11. Isn't this the part of the game where the pen blows it and the hitting completely gives up and goes hitless to end the game?
  12. We need runs badly. I don't trust our pen to go 4 more scoreless innings.
  13. QUOTE(RME JICO @ Jun 12, 2007 -> 04:38 PM) I was thinking the same thing. How much longer will Cleveland and Minnesota be able to keep their payrolls that low once their players hit arbitration? Yeah but Minnesota has a history of plugging in guys from their farm system. They had some great players leave in the past few years.
  14. Interesting read: http://sports.aol.com/fanhouse/2007/06/12/...-patti-labelle/
  15. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jun 12, 2007 -> 03:38 PM) This is just really sad. I know they (supposedly) don't do this now, but the damage was done in the 40's and 50's... and it's just deplorable to not think forward as to what this can do to our environment. When did you start caring about the environment?
  16. It's funny how for months I keep hearing from people on this site how Obama just throws out high level buzzwords and ideas and has no specifics for his agenda. I'm struggling to find any candidate who has eloquently laid out full specifics for their agenda, minus a topic here or there. Here's another fine example: http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/06/12/giu...a.ap/index.html
