  1. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 10, 2011 -> 11:37 AM) The Starters however are in the middle of the pack. Unfortunately all 9 innings count at the end of the day.
  2. QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 10, 2011 -> 05:55 AM) Rasmus should of caught that. Yes he should have.
  3. Sox have scored the most runs in baseball and are tied for 2nd most runs given up.
  4. QUOTE (Lemon_44 @ Apr 10, 2011 -> 07:10 AM) When people were calling for Thornton last year, I was a defender of Jenks and said that I didn't care about all the stats, like his high ERA, and that his main job was to get saves and preserve the victory. Jenks had a pretty good save %. Thornton, to me, isn't a closer and doesn't have the mentality. By putting him in a closer's role you are not putting him in the best position to succeed and ,on top of that, the Sox are losing something they had over almost every other team, which is the best setup man in the game. I don't know of Sale is the guy, but I'm pretty sure Thornton isn't. If I had to pick someone, I'd likely go with Santos. He doesn't pitch scared and he seems to have the makeup of a good closer. I'm Bigsqwert and I approve this message.
  5. 1st ballot HOFer Dan Hudson off to a rocky start in Arizona tonight.
  6. Carlos not scoring on a double could loom large with this awful bullpen.
  7. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 9, 2011 -> 05:44 PM) Didn't Kalapse disprove this notion? I'm not quitting on Matt on April 9th. Oh I don't know. Perhaps. I think some of the other guys added other reasons i'd agree with.
  8. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 9, 2011 -> 05:41 PM) Are people seriously ready to hand over the closer role to Santos over the much superior Thornton over a couple games? Thornton has more than earned the benefit of the doubt at least through April. He's had a history of having trouble closing out games including this year. So yeah, I've seen enough of Matt.
  9. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 9, 2011 -> 05:31 PM) Some of u guys woulda buried Oz had AJ whiffed or popped up. Think about that next time it's lefty/lefty. It works sometimes. AJ baby! Ok Yogi Berra.
  10. Nice! Now one more single to give our bullpen a chance.
  11. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 9, 2011 -> 05:08 PM) Did Hawk say there's only 26K at this game? It almost looks like 36K. May I suggest Lenscrafters for you?
  12. Why does AJ bat so high in the lineup? He's terrible.
