  1. So I'm going to Portland tomorrow night after work. The interview is first thing Wednesday morning. Anyone know if you can bring a garment bag (suit) as a carry on? I'd hate to have to fold and pack the suit and dress shirt if I didn't have to.
  2. Seeing that we aren't a .500 team after 2 months I don't see why all of a sudden we're going to play well over it for a month span.

Just finished Revolutionary Road. Good stuff even though it was a downer.
  4. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 30, 2010 -> 03:20 PM) Indeed.
  5. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 30, 2010 -> 02:58 PM) Cmon. His pitch count was fine. A good pitcher would have smoked through the sixth with that new cushion. Especially against the bottom of the order.
  6. QUOTE (T R U @ May 30, 2010 -> 02:54 PM) There are only 8 pitchers in the entire league with 7 or more wins, Cleveland is a team that we should be beating.. its a little different And Jake is one of those guys many would have expected to be included in that list. And if he has 7 or 8 wins by now that means our record against Cleveland would most likely be better too since he would have pitched to them a couple times st least by now.
  7. BTW, what a s*** hole that place is. Went to the Friday game.
  8. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 30, 2010 -> 02:53 PM) Ozzie made the right call. You don't pull an ace who was just given a four run lead. No matter how horses*** the highly paid ace is. I can't disagree.
  9. QUOTE (T R U @ May 30, 2010 -> 02:43 PM) Nah, we've lost what.. 6 games to Cleveland already? They might end up being the worst team in the league.. that alone right now is the biggest reason we aren't much closer.. So replacing a 3 win pitcher with a 7 win pitcher would make no difference?
  10. If Jake was playing like a true ace and put up David Price type of numbers we might be about 4 games back right now. If that were the case Kenny might have a good case to add one more power bat to make us a contender.
  11. QUOTE (T R U @ May 30, 2010 -> 02:38 PM) Joking? Nix is still hitting .172, to be honest I don't really care for either of them.. Not joking at all. He has some pop in his bat. What the hell does a 58 year old utility guy bring to the table? A rare single? I'll take the HR over that any day for a team that normally struggles to score.
  12. AND THAT IS WHY PEOPLE WERE COMPLAINING ABOUT NIX SITTING ON THE BENCH WHILE OMAR WAS GETTING MORE PLAYING TIME!
  13. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ May 30, 2010 -> 02:33 PM) That went right off his leg, Gordon in for Nix ? ;/ You mean the guy with no extra base hits for the entire month? Pass.
  14. Hell yeah. I need to go to more games. The Sox never lose when I go.
  15. I'll be at the game giving the boys some good mojo. I'll make it 2-0 when I'm in attendance for a Sox game.
  16. Happy birthday old fella!
  17. I'd take Javy's production over the crap this guy has featured this year. At least Javy's ERA was under 6.
  18. Talbot might get a CG 2 hitter and only throw 78 pitches.
  19. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ May 25, 2010 -> 07:03 PM) Or last night. Go get your sarcasm detector checked out.
  20. When was the last time Jones hit safely? April?
  21. 3-0 deficits feel like 8-0 deficits with this team.
  22. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 25, 2010 -> 06:50 PM) Its Don Cooper's fault. Players cannot be blamed for poor performance. Only coaches. Don Cooper's terribly overrated by this board as well.
