  1. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 7, 2010 -> 09:12 AM) Alright, I'll edit - "there is a very high likelihood that eventually, these types of smaller scale attacks, possible on trains, will occur". Better? I misread what that statement was intending to say. Carry on.
  2. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 7, 2010 -> 09:01 AM) Eventually, it will happen. You really can't say that.
  3. Finally bought a car after 5 years without one. 2007 Volvo V50 wagon. I am officially a yuppie. :/
  4. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Jan 5, 2010 -> 06:42 PM) ...and read me my rights, b****. Kind of like the last administration did with Richard Reid and others. But I'm sure that was different.
  5. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 5, 2010 -> 02:24 PM) This is beyond crude. You want to shoot all of them? I think we know how he'll answer that. *shakes head*
  6. QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 4, 2010 -> 02:58 PM) I think with 16 games, h2h is the only way to go with fantasy football. How exactly is that better than total points?
  7. As commish I'm getting rid of head-to-head games next season. It'll be a total points based league. Sick of all the b.s. luck with h2h leagues.

Finally watched Brazil for the first time. Visually stunning and a good watch overall even if a tad long.
  9. I hope the Jets meet the Colts in the playoffs and steamroll them.
  10. QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Jan 4, 2010 -> 06:27 AM) We should just pull out of Yemen right now! And Saudi Arabia, where most of the 9-11 guys came from! That will do it! I'm sure you'd be equally thrilled if Yemeni and Saudi soldiers were patrolling your neighborhood and every now and then one of your neighbors were killed as a civilian casualty.
  11. We stop occupying their countries and we'll see less and less attacks.
  12. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Jan 3, 2010 -> 01:04 PM) domestic violence is not the answer, sqwert. I know. Something about airport screening machines pushes me over the edge.
  13. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Jan 3, 2010 -> 12:56 PM) lol the report was about airport security. once again, sqwert goes off the deep end and rages. Yeah I just punched out my entire family and killed my dog because you enraged me with all of this.
  14. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Jan 3, 2010 -> 12:03 PM) Yea, but seriously, you could restrict access to the screening room. You could even have it in a separate part of the airport and when there is a security breach they send an electronic message directly down to security at the screening point. If we can't keep some doofus from running into the screening room then we might as well just give up. I am basically in the same camp as the CNN crew, reasons for not using it are pretty bad. Reasons for using it are really good. So are they going to set one of these up at every sporting event, shopping mall, train station, town square, movie theater, church, and tourist site? Terrorists can attack any of those places just as easily if not easier. Heck, we should have one of these machines everywhere. At your work, the post office, McDonald's, etc.
  15. QUOTE (Tex @ Jan 3, 2010 -> 09:17 AM) Can we put up a wall to stop this? Maybe along the eastern seaboard? Better yet lets just strip search any dark skinned people at the airport.
  16. QUOTE (Cali @ Jan 1, 2010 -> 01:28 PM) The Jeff Dunham show cancelled.... Happy New Year for Every One!
  17. Stop making so much sense Balta.
  18. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Dec 31, 2009 -> 05:41 PM) Defend Obama, Bush sucks. That's all we need to know here. LOL You're seriously becoming the right wing magic 8 ball with your handful of canned responses. Happy New Year brother.
  19. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 31, 2009 -> 11:43 AM) What if 9/11 had destroyed our economy? It kind of did back then unless my memories are incorrect. Airlines and travel related industries being the hardest hit.
  20. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 31, 2009 -> 09:13 AM) Apples to oranges. Less than 10k Americans have died in Iraq/Ahfganistan. Does that mean it's not a big deal? The amount of money and resources to prevent terrorism seems seems out of whack. Why don't we just completely destroy our economy so that we might save 100 more live in the next decade.
  21. Rush Limbaugh in the hospital due to karma.
  22. And in other news terrorism still the cause of less deaths than salmonella and swine flu. Lets keep flaming the fire of irrational fear.

QUOTE (Kalapse @ Dec 29, 2009 -> 03:33 PM) Revenge of the Fallen made $402M domestic, which puts it in the top 10 all time. I don't plan on ever seeing it. ^^^^^^

Watched a lot of stuff on netflix instant watch over the past week... Food Inc: Very good documentary on food. A must see. Quarantine: Surprisingly solid horror film. Barry Lyndon: Finally got around to seeing it. Very long but fantastic. Best in Show: Seen this one quite a few times already and love it. Screened it for my daughter who's never seen it before. Garden State: Awesome. The Wackness: Pretty meh although I liked the soundtrack and Ben Kinglsey's character. Also, have tickets for Avatar at Navy Pier Imax tonight.
  25. QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Dec 28, 2009 -> 09:56 AM) 16-0 means nothing unless you win the Super Bowl. See: Patriots, New England, 2007. You do what you think is best for your team. Screw what the other teams think. If they had taken care of business, they wouldn't be in the position they are in (as Kyyle said). This was a chance at history and they said meh. It was a slap in the face to all their die hard fans. Hopefully with all this added rest they'll turn out like that one Shannahan led Broncos team and exit the playoffs early.
