Freddy shouldn't be too sweaty with the drop in temps.

8/18 - Sox vs. Kansas City 7:11pm CDT - CSN
QUOTE (kane0730 @ Aug 18, 2009 -> 01:50 PM) If PK is going to play, can't Ozzie at least hit him 6th until he starts swinging. No kidding. I'd swap him with Carlos who's had much better ABs lately.

QUOTE (soxfan3530 @ Aug 18, 2009 -> 12:57 PM) My predicted line for Freddy tonight: 5 1/3, 1 run, 5 hits, 2 BBs, 5 Ks. I think its going to be a good debut. Can't help but to think that number will be higher. Hope I'm wrong.

Name a state that the US could do without
QUOTE (Tex @ Aug 18, 2009 -> 12:07 PM) Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont say hello! States can't talk. Sheesh.

Uncharacteristic for Tex to be so slow.

Who would you rather have starting at 2b?
QUOTE (WCSox @ Aug 18, 2009 -> 10:47 AM) I'd move Alexei back to 2B next season and find a free agent SS or 3B this winter. One potential in-house solution would be Nix at 3B and Beckham at SS, although I'm not sure if Nix can play the hot corner that well (he's been a disaster at SS). Beckham's poor range at 3rd doesn't seem to translate well to SS.

Healthcare reform
QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Aug 18, 2009 -> 10:28 AM) Hey, freedom isn't free! Maybe the death panel isn't a bad idea after all. Maybe they can put me out of my misery.

Healthcare reform
QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Aug 18, 2009 -> 10:20 AM) That's the point. You don't have a fiscally smart decision to make in the current system. You take whatever your company offers or you pay out the ass. What a terrific "choice"!

Healthcare reform
QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Aug 18, 2009 -> 10:07 AM) It's still someone's choice. I've wanted to move into NYC for over a year now but with the economy I'm just riding it out where I am. Once it get's better I may start to look again. But, again, it's my choice. And yes, having the health insurance I have does factor into it. When less than 1% of people decline their employer's health insurance and go out and get some on their own I fail to see that as a true choice. And yes I made that figure up but I'm probably not far off.

QUOTE (knightni @ Aug 18, 2009 -> 10:08 AM) You really have to check the encyclopedias to post an "X" statement. Zoro would even need to do that.

Healthcare reform
QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Aug 18, 2009 -> 09:59 AM) Well that would be your choice to switch now wouldn't it? It really isn't much of a choice if you want to be honest with your self. In this job market who's going to decline the health insurance offered by their employer to pay an exorbitant amount elsewhere?

Freddy is starting.
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 18, 2009 -> 09:30 AM) But we have an off day on Thursday thankfully Phew! I didn't realize that.
