QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 04:47 PM) Good to see you're a fellow comic book guy, Sqwert. To be honest I rarely read them. Maybe once a year. I'll hit you up for recommendations when I'm ready for something new.
  2. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 04:20 PM) Punishments should better fit crimes. Like that 350 lb gorilla cop that beat the s*** out of a 90 lb bartender? Probation? GMAFB
  3. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 04:28 PM) People shouldn't serve more than a year in jail for killing dogs while others serve 30 days for killing humans. Where has this occurred?
  4. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 03:36 PM) Cotton Eye Joe by Rednex should be played on every radio station at 8am. Everyday.
  5. Toll booths should charge vehicles double the normal rate if there is only one person in the vehicle. Exception to commercial truckers.
  6. Children under the age of 10 should not be allowed in a rated R movie even if a parent/guardian is present. No children under 4 should ever be allowed in a movie theater. Period.
  7. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 03:13 PM) I'm strangely attracted to Zooey Deschanel Do most people not find her attractive? I thinks she's fine as hell.
  8. I don't think we need to play the national anthem at sporting events.
  9. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 03:08 PM) If you collect welfare or any other aid from the government you should have to pass random drug tests to collect it. If you fail you can kiss it goodbye for the next month. Penalties increase for repeat offenders. Prisons and jails should use the inmates for labor and jobs more than they do. We didn't actually land on the moon. There was a highly advanced "Civilization 1" that was around before recorded history. I agree on the first 2 and surprisingly am open to believing the other 2.
  10. QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 03:07 PM) I remember when Obama called rural americans "bitter" and nobody talked about it. That dang liberal media.
  11. Do you hold any controversial opinions? You don't necessarily have to justify or defend your opinions, only to state them. Here's a few to start: 1 - All guns should be outlawed. If you get caught with a gun you pay a $5K fine for your first offense. $10K for a second offense. Your wages and income tax return will be garnished until the fine is paid. EDIT: no jail time. 2 - If you decide to have more than 2 children you pay a one time $10,000 penalty for each additional child after 2. 3 - All drugs should be legalized. Lets hear what you've got.
  12. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 01:10 PM) Also, I'd love to hear how Obama has helped kill babies. Oh don't mind Bearsox. He's married to Victoria Jackson.
  13. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 01:46 PM) If Obama doesn't rock some White Sox gear to the all-star game tonight the terrorists will win. An impeachable offense if you ask me.
  14. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 01:24 PM) I thought oreo filling had ground up bone in it. Or maybe that's twinkies. Oreos are vegan.

Am I the only person in the world that thinks Harry Potter is lame as heck?
  16. Refresh my memory folks. Are we on our own for Sox tickets that night?
  17. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 12:17 PM) I wasn't impressed when I saw him. Very similar delivery to Dotel, imo. Good fastball but I saw zero secondary stuff. But he does have plus velocity. I know the Sox scouts were high on him though. As a closer all you need is that secondary pitch.
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 12:15 PM) And yet, things I post keep showing up as people's avatars... I'm one of the few still giving you a chance. You're lucky I like geology.
  19. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 12:10 PM) Yes. I pointed it out 12 days ago in this thread. By now you should realize 97% of Soxtalk has you on ignore.
  20. QUOTE (BearSox @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 11:20 AM) What, did he think steaks, pork chops, etc. just grew on trees? Of course not but there's a huge disconnect of what's on our plate and where it comes from. Ignorance is bliss.
  21. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 11:02 AM) Mix of health/animal rights, I remember a story on ESPN saying how his wife gave him a book on how animals were slaughtered for food or something along those lines. He may need a nutritionist if he's doing it for health reasons because he's still a tub of goo.
  22. QUOTE (BearSox @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 10:47 AM) What's the point then? People choose to go veg for various reasons including health, religion, animal rights, and environmental reasons. Not sure what his reason was.

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 10:43 AM) Is Captain America still dead? Beats me. This is the first time I've ever read any Captain America. Guy at the local comic shop recommended this to me. Digging it so far.
