QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 9, 2008 -> 01:24 PM) That's not the sky. It's the blue painted ceiling in your neighbors' recently foreclosed upon house. I guess thats what happens when people buy a home they cannot afford, during a sellers market. One of my neighbors bought a $650,000 condo. Totally can't afford it, now blames everyone but himself.

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Jan 9, 2008 -> 01:56 PM) That's what a trunk is for you moron. Seriously, I have never once in my life thought of putting booze under the front seat of my car. yea, that kid sucks at hiding booze.

New Hampshire Primary Thread
QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Jan 9, 2008 -> 09:53 AM) Of course it helped her. First you have the people that believe she faked it(me)...well those people we're never going to her side anyway so she loses nothing with them. The other people...be it people on the fence, people wanting to see her soft side, women feeling her plight(I also love the guy that had a sign saying iron my shirt and started chanting it in her speeech, brilliant plant IMO) and also the people that just don't care about politics, but now felt bad for her....that breakdown could have swayed any of those groups. Hell her senior adviser said this: Asked if that tearful moment helped win the women's vote in New Hampshire, Clinton's senior adviser Ann Lewis said: "I know it, but I can't prove it." The "Iron my shirt guy" was most likely a Hillary plant. That, then the crying thing, she was just playing up for sympathy. It worked.

QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 10:07 PM) Edwards is too damn stubborn to do that. He wont drop out until it is too late for Obama even if he CLEARLY has no chance of winning. He'll stick around for his ego and for free tv face time.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 09:45 PM) Clinton Vs. McCain. My God, the media is going to go harder for the Republican candidate than they did in 2000. just like the Huckabee supporters complaining about the liberal Rush Limbaugh and FOX news being against their candidate.

Should this REALLY be a college course?
QUOTE(jasonxctf @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 12:41 PM) shoot, take a look at any course list at colleges. I went to UIC... there was such bogus courses as * History of Sports * Sports and Drugs * Bowling * Tennis * Basketball, etc... My wife went to ISU. There were such bogus courses as... * Dance * Golf * Women in Literature (Lesbian Poetry) Not necessarily "higher education" bowling is fun, dude

GOP Primaries/Candidates thread
McCain needs to start campaigning in the non-evangelical/dixiecrat states. Take Guilinai's primary votes away. Huckabee has the snake handler, speaking in tongues vote. They are a single issue voting block (who is a preacher, they don't care about issues). Even though Huckabee isn't as bad as I thought, he has a ton of absurd statements he's made in the past that will destroy him in the general election, once the media goes on the attack.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 7, 2008 -> 07:38 PM) The last time he predicted interesting results on an election day...the White Sox traded for Swisher. Perhaps he's actually KW, and he's toying with us in this thread, laughing comically as we think all his posts that seem to be about Edwards are actually coded predictions regarding trades. haha

The New Hampshire state Republican Party has withdrawn its sponsorship of the FOX Republican debate. They disagreed with Paul and Hunter from being denied access to the debate. http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0108/7744.html

haha, McCain really does hate Ron Paul. He just glares at Paul whenever he starts talking. Funny thing is they are probably my favorite two candidates.

DEM Primaries/Candidates thread
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 5, 2008 -> 07:05 PM) Huckabee uses some of the religious language of GWBush, but aside from a few scraps it's hard to say he's acted on those statements though. Giuliani seems totally on board with the war policy, the torture policies, and the unitary executive/Congress doesn't matter at all policies of the Bush admin, and I think that's why Fox likes him. I think Romney, Thompson, and Giuliani are all in agreement with Bush on water boarding and Iraq.

QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Jan 5, 2008 -> 06:48 PM) yea, Giuliani is Bush 2.0. They'd love another fear mongering war leader. And claims that the immediate end of the world is near due to global warming isn't fear mongering? As far as wars, if the Dems win, it's probably just a matter of time before they start one. I have no confidence in them as far as being for peace in any way.

DEM Primaries/Candidates thread
QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Jan 5, 2008 -> 06:52 PM) Probably an administration talking point. Rudy is very similar to Bush. So, I bet they are pulling for him behind the scenes. I don't know about that. Bush was more of an evangelical candidate/president. I think FOX thought Guiliani was more of a moderate, so some people at the network liked that. Huckabee seems more like G.W. Bush jr.

Huckabee/Obama Win Iowa Caucuses
QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jan 3, 2008 -> 09:30 PM) He's a nice guy, Iowans fall for nice guys. Nice guy like Haggard, Pat Robertson, or any of the other evangelical/ultra religious leaders I guess. I suppose they are very popular in Iowa. It's kinda funny how, before Huckabee, Democrats claimed these religious types were all homophobic bigots. Now that an unelectable preacher guy wins Iowa GOP primary, he's a nice guy. Go figure.

Huckabee/Obama Win Iowa Caucuses
QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jan 3, 2008 -> 09:04 PM) I do think it says something for our state that a black man is winning the way that Obama is. It's great that people in Iowa can look past race while casting a vote. It's very disturbing that people in Iowa REALLY like Mike Huckabee.

Lol, if the GOP nominates this Huckabee guy, I'm voting Democrat out of spite and hoping for a massive landslide. Edit: Unless it's against John Edwards. Than thats just the worst election choices ever. Maybe not even waste my time voting.
