QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 14, 2012 -> 08:00 AM) Yeah, thankfully we don't have any examples of actual people directly associated with the Romney campaign trying to disrupt Obama campaign events. Otherwise, the outcry would be enormous. I mean, could you imagine if they had something like the official campaign bus driving around constantly honking their horn at multiple different Obama events? That'd put the official campaign on the same level as these numbskulls. It'd just be pathetic. The media would be all over it, it'd be the number one story for weeks. Especially if they kept doing it. I mean, after that, if anyone voted for Romney, they'd just be tolerating that kind of bizarre, childish behavior. Tolerating the intolerant, someone might call it. Thankfully, I can't find any evidence of that ever happening and I entirely made it up. An innocent drive by horn honking is not the same as jumping on stage and attempting to attack the speaker

QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Aug 13, 2012 -> 03:35 PM) Campaign has been going on for what seems like years, this is somethgin new and exciting! Plus we are finally getting down to the wire here, so from now on everything will be amplified. now we just need to flip the ticket around and we are good to go.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 13, 2012 -> 07:11 PM) I agree. I can't stand Hawk anymore, but he is much more tolerable with Wimpy in the booth. i was thinking much less tolerable.

In yet another attempt to end free speech in the US, Obama zealots charge stage during Ryan speech in Iowa. Try to shut down his speech. very sad. more info to come.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Aug 13, 2012 -> 06:58 PM) More insane: How far that ball traveled or Wimpy's laugh? good question

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Aug 12, 2012 -> 03:29 PM) 1) Where has CFA been banned. Find 1 banning. CFA exists in Chicago, so dont say Chicago as there are ones here. don't bs here. The mayor Chicago, Boston, SF, ect said they would ban CFA. so these idiots did indeed attempt to ban CFA, then their lawyers likely told them they would get pwned in court. people in power were trying to ban them. fact. i'm sure most SSM supporters believe in free speech and are reasonable people. my original post was not directed at them, but at these clown mayors and the like that pushed this whole thing into a new realm of stupidity. no you did not good sir. your argument was deeply flawed and you likely knew this and ended with an insult. you actually remind me a little bit of Michele Bachmann.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 12, 2012 -> 02:07 PM) I don't think anyone here has supported the Boston/Chicago Mayors in their statements well i would hope not.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Aug 12, 2012 -> 12:30 PM) That is a really ironic statement. Not buying chicken equal ban. mayors of major cities banning a company is a ban. there is no way around it. boycott = fine. ban = illegal. what's that have to do with banning a business because an employee expressed a religious/political opinion? its not even relevant. see we agree. i don't know about the result of your little talk with anti-SSM groups, you'll have to have one and tell me how it goes. the SSM marriage issue doesn't matter to me either way. and without a good argument you resort to insults.
-
Obviously, people totally overreacted to this and they look like idiots for doing so. Some old man that started a chicken sandwich company says he is against gay marriage and people go bat s*** crazy. Some people can't deal with anything outside their own world view. They can't even tolerate hearing about a different view. They just go berserk and start 'banning' stuff.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 11, 2012 -> 06:03 PM) So is calling anything in Ryan's budget a "Solution". Obama could make up something just as honest. Claim he'll cut taxes 20% for everyone, triple defense spending, double social security benefits, and balance the budget. There are some very good things in the Ryan budget. Some could use some work. I'm sure it will all come up, so Obama will have a chance to discuss during the campaign.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 11, 2012 -> 05:47 PM) Walker who? And anyway, all not true, but whatever. The whole point is to slash the highest tax bracket. That's the only goal. You ought to know that. I meant to say Ryan. But anyways, both are leading and Obama is failing. Also, your "only goal" statement is ridiculous.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 11, 2012 -> 03:36 PM) The problem continues to be...with both the Ryan plan and the Romney version of it, the tax cuts they want for the highest income levels are so massive that it's literally impossible for their cuts to make up for them. They usually just refuse to namea nything they'd cut and say "we'll figure out that later" so that they don't take the political hit for it...but that's a joke. You can say "I'm going to cut taxes by $10 trillion and then cut spending to match" but if you don't tell what spending you want to cut...you're not going to get the spending cuts. Balta, there are details in his budget and he is willing to listen to good suggestions and compromise. Things can change as needed. Perhaps the highest tax bracket stays the same. That's fine with me. The difference is Walker is leading, while Obama only blames and makes excuses. Walker has solutions, Obama merely creates more problems.

QUOTE (Reddy @ Aug 11, 2012 -> 01:23 PM) hahaha and in what way would those ads be exaggerating? (answer is they wouldn't!) dude, i just watched the ad on youtube and it is hilarious. Refusing to reform and address issues with some of these entitlement programs is what will throw granny off the cliff. I will personally donate my time to shoot the ad using an Obama look-a-like. It will be epic.
-
Cutting spending needs to be an important part of Romney's platform. Sure the Dems can run ads of Romney pushing granny of a cliff in her wheelchair, but they will do that anyways.

QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Aug 10, 2012 -> 10:57 PM) Romney chose Paul Ryan as his VP choice source: Fox News ah yes, i like this move

booya

Well, word has it that Romney has added some new "pros" to his campaign to get things going. Couldn't get any worse I suppose.
-
QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Aug 9, 2012 -> 04:47 PM) CNN Poll Obama 52% Romney 45% I hope this happens. it will definitely happen if Romney continues to run a TERRIBLE campaign.
