Hahn Confirms: Ventura back for 2016
QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Oct 7, 2015 -> 09:28 PM) Take a deep breath and think about that for a second. Also think about his bigger role in the org. Help me understand. His bigger role in the org? Is it because KW was so quick to defend him during the season?

Hahn Confirms: Ventura back for 2016
Steverson led one of the worst hitting sox teams in history and his job is apparently safe.

Hahn Confirms: Ventura back for 2016
Rick Hahn is a Ken doll. Good enough. When Jerry croaks we'll get this ship turned around. Til then, sit back and strap it down.

White Sox official website has a possible Quintana trade chip post
If you're trading Q then trade Abreu, Robertson, Sale, Danks, Flowers, Lexi, Duke and that guy who supposedly is the DH. Start over with a BOATLOAD of young talent + Rodon and Fulmer as your key pitching pieces. And hire a manager who can work with young talent, who knows how to teach the game. Q, Sale and Abreu would bring you riches. Or do very little, hope for the best and be prepared for another season of below average and very frustrating baseball.

Farmer and DJ back in 2016
Ever since they've stopped trying so hard to be clever they've been enjoyable. Still miss Rooney. Wish they'd bring back Wills

Ventura "absolutely" wants to manage White Sox next season
Joe Torre was a s***ty ex-manager who was a color guy on the Angels when I first moved to LA. Now he's in the HOF. Funny what talent can do for a s***ty manager.

Importance of a Top Draft Pick
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 9, 2015 -> 07:19 AM) Point is, the club is doing some very different things now than they were just three years ago (or 2 or 4) on the amateur side. People seem to think the club is still just drafting either Walker/Mitchell types or Broadway types. That simply isn't true. That's encouraging. Now if we can just get rid of Buddy Bell I'll believe real change in player development is underfoot. Until then, no.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Sep 6, 2015 -> 02:01 PM) It reminds me of the Sox at the trade deadline.............do not get fooled again KW/Hahn. he certainly had a terrible year but unless the Sox are prepared to walk thru the desert for a few years, stockpile some high draft picks and start over, not sure if you're going to have better options than Lexi next year. Doesn't seem Anderson is ready

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 6, 2015 -> 12:34 PM) Remember back in 2005, we had a 12-16 record in August and in mid-September we had a 4-10 stretch? The Royals aren't playing their best right now but their best is as good as anyone when the find it. Don't judge teams by what they're doing at their best or at their worst. 2 weeks later it can look very different. Agreed, but I'm not judging them so much on their play right now but just thinking about their starting pitching and how they match up. They're probably the most complete team all around, though.

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Sep 6, 2015 -> 12:22 PM) Nah. They can beat the Astros or whomever comes out of the wildcard. I kind of think the Astros are this year's version of the royals.

QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 6, 2015 -> 11:57 AM) Small sample size, but Bonifacio is hitting .462 in AAA I would imagine that has something to do with getting consistent AB's. The guy could always hit.
