Did that make Ditka a crappy coach? Larussa is a very good manager. Il'll take him in a second.
  6. Well s***, if he doesnt have to motivate, whats the point of paying him.

If the cubs GETTING to the world series, not winning it, forces JR to spend money to improve this whitesox organization, Im all for it. I hate the cubs, but I love the sox more.

    GO cubbies!!! Lmao
  10. Too bad these players passion for JM couldn't be translated into their on-field play. I don't think it is so much JM than it is the country club lifestyle JM allows to occur in the clubhouse win or lose. Exactly. Also, lets not forget these players were making these comments AFTER they knew JM was gone. MB is just worried someone might actually MANAGE him...........this guys turning out to be just like Frank.... We need a manager that isn't going to take losing to the Tigers 2 out of 3 times AT HOME and being swept by the Tigers on the road like it's a lost/swept series to the A's or Yankees. Yes and again, I respect Jm as a man. I admire that he can be so relaxed and easy going. However, that just isnt a good match for a major league manager, with a team of underachievers.

Well what i found most amazing is the story i read said a sox source said JR is willing to fork out the money for a proven manager. That shocked me.

Yeah, I agree. Do you think its a real possibility? Or just a lame rumor?

  16. Or you on shockey...........
  17. Well think of it this way. IF kobe came in at the end of the bulls title era and won the scoring title over MJ and was on the same team, would all bulls fans accept him? I would but im not sure all of them would......or even most.
  18. Yeah i really liked that movie.
  19. ACtually believe it or not, Maris was hated because he DARED to break the record and out do the great MICK and Babe.........true story.
  20. Maris was the nicest guy in the world who was always cast aside. I forgot the movie that documented that famed season, but i recommend it highly........
  21. If you re read my post you will see i said "star" and "documented". There is only one star who was documented as being drunk on the field. ONE. That doesnt mean there wasnt more, but our opinions add up to nothing. The fact is ONE hof player in the history of baseball is known to have played most of his career drunk. I dont see how that guy should be seen as "better" than Sosa as a person.......or a legend. Was he a better baseball player? Absolutely...... and again i tell you to read up .. there are a few more STARS DOCUMENTED you failed to mention...... Was this from the same book that told us that KW was being fired any day now....? :finger :finger :finger ....lol nope.. its from the book that calls you a dumbass for not knowing your baseball history........ Sorry, I guess I didnt look in the fairy tale section of major league history. I'll make sure I check that section next time. lol ......when you get to the book with the big pictures and less words youll know you got the right one...... Okay i found those type of books...................i dont see any pictures of KW with a foot in his ass though?
  22. Then we would be the yankees!
  23. Why? If you dont even know who the owner will be ,its hard to say if we will be more successful or less.
