  1. I am with you. I think I am more emotional this year because i have WAY more time on my hands than I normally do. Unfortunately, I have been mentally preparing for the worst since we got swept at home by Boston. Those were two UGLY games.
  2. I thought the same thing. Not facing Santana or Milton is a f***ing HUGE break. Not to mention we just missed Pedro and Lowe in the BOston series. Maybe fate? Not fate, it was the fact that Boston is looking to match up with other teams in their division. The way I see it thats part of fate. I just think we are getting lucky with some of these pitching matchups and lets all pray in the end it pays off.

  4. Tex, youre forgetting we have not gone to a 4 man rotation yet. Your scenario would only leave BC and MB with 3 days rest. It is too early for that.
  5. Its officially ELO< JG AND BC. Your scenario isnt an option.
  6. 2-1 keeps us in it but 3-0 puts us in the drivers seat. We need to show some killer instinct.
  7. Yes. Your scenario would leave BC and MB with only 3 days rest.
  8. I agree. Game two is HUGE. Knock on wood, but i like our chances in game 1 and 3. Just like last twin series, we need to win the game that looks difficult, and game 2 is thar game.
  9. Depends on the pitcher and his personal situation. IN general, especially at this time of year, I would think that likely it should benefit the pitcher in most cases.
  10. Exactly. I think someone mentioned that to me.
  11. Nah he knows all about WSI from the conversations him and I had. BTW, I snuck over to WSI and they had a HUGE thread going over there, b****ing about the negativity of the entire site. If you want a good laugh, go check it out. Its called WSI negativity. PHG whining as always......
  12. Nah he doesnt post anywhere. He said that since leaving, he has been in a better mood. I guess he let some of the posts get to him, im not totally sure.
  13. 9-4 is very doable. One can only hope and pray that is all it takes, because i believe it will take better.
  14. Exactly right. The site hasnt gone to s***, the quality of its members has. I come back only because I love the site, and some of the members are still great. I do cringe, however, at the quality of threads these days.
  15. With the pitching matchups, 2 of 3 should be the minimum we accept, although i feel a sweep is needed.
  16. Hopes? LMAO, maybe THAT is your problem.
  17. I know I did and if it bothered anyone, they have severe issues.
  18. THe way things look now, IF the sox make the playoffs, they would open against New york. Based on the remanining schedules, its very likely the red sox will get the wild card as they have an easy schedule and the mariners have a very difficult rest of the way. If NY gets the top record in the AL they cannot play the wild card from their own division, so they would play the AL central winner. If Oakland ends up with the best record in the AL, they would play the wild card team, leaving NY again, to play the AL central winner. Bring on the yanks!!!
  19. ANy do or die game the sox have, if i have my choice, meaning theyre all equally rested, i would choose BC without even a second thought.
  20. Ive been supporting Koch all season but im ready to admit..........put a fork in him, hes done.
  21. LOL exactly. I just recently went through a cat 2 hurricane and i was 30 miles inland. It was a HORRIBLE experience. The last thing I would have called it was fun, and i can assure you the Family of the woman who was killed did not feel it was fun, either.

    HSC this is for you

Yup, exactly. I saw an average team beat a bad team. THat was my analysis.
  23. Are you playing with monopoly money? LMAO.....10 starting pitchers on your staff is interesting though.
