IF the sox only win 3 of 4 vs. the twins: They have a 2 game lead. WE go to minnesota for 3 and boston for 3. REALISITCALLY, we will win 2, the twins go to cleveland for 4 and have us at home for 3. Lets see ill be totally generous and say they split in cleveland and beat us 2 out of three. That leaves them 1/2 back and thats being generous. Then we are home against the yanks and royals for 6. Again being generous, lets say we win 4 of 6. The twins are home for Detroit and cleveland for 5. Easily they win 4 of of and we are tied for 1st. Last 4 games of the season we play KC and they play DET. OBJECTIVELY you would have to think we would be tied at best. Thats with finishing the homestand 6-1 and being objective if not GENEROUS with how the sox will do and the twins will fair. We need a sweep, people. If you think this thinking is "negative" or "naysayer" or "quitting" you are just an non objective fool. To each their own.

I do. When you look back on this season, and we fell a game or two short, you will feel exactly what me and roman and others have been feeling. I care VERY MUCH.

Not to mention, if, and its a BIG if, we make it to the playoffs, Colon is known as a big game pitcher. Also, with 20 games to go, who would you rather have on the mound, Colon or Heredia? LMAO. As someone else stated earlier, he is not the only one to have an off season. His best is yet to come.

Oh dont worry about that. Its little kid morons like you who dont have the first clue about baseball, that chase all the good members away. Im among others who get tired of having to sift through 100 little kid posts to get to decent ones. Props to Rex, yasny,all the mods, hsc, heather, cubkilla, clujer, capn, and so on. MY only response is some of the knowledgable, longer term members have stopped posting completely or limited their posting because there is just too much ignorance on this site. We got little kids fighting, we got fans asking what place we are in, we got people responding to baseball discussions who OBVIOUSLY know little about the game. There is just too much ignorance and i will quote clujer, who no longer posts here......"95 percent of the crap posted there is just that crap, and the 5 percent of good posts arent worth searching for. For you kids and others who may not understand. I have been a die hard sox fan since i was 5 years old. You do the math but thats MANY years of being a sox fan. Im not just a fan. My mood can be affected with a win or loss. The sox are my favorite team in all of sports. Ive been watching baseball for 30 years and I can honestly say this sox team has as much, if not more talent than any sox team ive witnessed. In addition, they have as much or more talent and any team in baseball today. If you want to "unsderstand" why me and some of the other long time fans get frustrated, maybe you need to realize we have watched this team lose for more years than youve been alive. Add to that this team is TOTALLY underperforming and likely not to make the playoffs despite all the talent in the world. They COULD go all the way this season, but they wont. WHY? Their manager cant manage, their players swing for the fences on every pitche, their players have NO f***ING CLUE how to advance runners. Their players never even CONSIDER giving themselves up to drive in a insurance run with a sac fly or groundout to the right side. Ive been watching baseball for 30 years and this team is just plain DUMB and or SELFISH. I am NOT a negative person but this is just ridiculous. Maybe when some of you actually understand the game of baseball or suffer for long as some of us have, you will understand. There.......

DOnt be so sure. Outside of Chicago, people dont even know who Loaiza is. The sox will need to make the playoffs for Loaiza to win it.
