QUOTE(Soxman72 @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 01:03 PM) Just A Few Question Would this game be different if Zito pitched or Soriano was in Left Field? How about B. Clark in left, Brian in Center, and Brandon pitching? My point is that this team can get better and should get better. I am not asking for a huge trade, but this is not working. I realize we took the first two games, but they do not look the same as the Tigers, Twins, or Yankees. Zito and Soriano would be HUGE, but that's CERTAINLY not going to happen. Keep dreaming though

QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 12:59 PM) I certainly hope PK goes up to bat trying to pull the ball and hit one 400 feet. Doesn't he usually? I would hope he is using that same approach here Pk is fouling off a lot of mistakes lately. DAMMIT

QUOTE(Soxman72 @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 12:57 PM) That was a great at bat Ozuna - Pods could have done that. Actually, now that i think about it, Pods would have gotten the count to 3-2 before he was caught looking. Gotta give him that at least

QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 12:39 PM) 6 more outs and we've got ourselves a pathetic loss. Unreal. If we lose, I'd love to hear OZ's eexcuse for this one. This is all on him

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 12:32 PM) This 6th inning is so fishing stupid. If you're going to build Javy's confidence you're going to do it by letting him pitch out out of his struggles, or put him in a position to win or at least not lose the ballgame. Ozzie did that with McCarthy last year against the Cubs, and now the worst possible has happened. Bullpen order of confidence: Jenks Thornton Macdougal Riske (as long as it's not close and in the 8th) McCarthy Cotts. I'd put Cotts ahead of McCarthy, BMAC should only be in there for long relief. And as for Cotts, i agree with FAthom that Oz puts him in there TOO often with runners on, and that he should just let him start the freaking inning.

QUOTE(Whitewashed in @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 12:28 PM) If we somehow make the playoffs its because Buehrle got his crap together and Garcia keeps improving. So if we do make the playoffs Buehrle is still in the rotation as is Garcia. You're taking a big chance with Bmac starting. He has been on/off this whole season. we will be dam lucky to make the playoffs if Oz keeps managing like this

QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 12:28 PM) Another situation where Ozzie puts his relievers in a terrible spot by not just letting them start the inning. He's done this about 20 times in the last month and a half. Oz's handling of the starter's this year has been unbelievably bad. He must think were still in the playoffs, hasnt he noticed that most of these guys cant make it past 6 innnings, let alone 5?

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 12:18 PM) There's a reason why Jim Thome has the 2nd most runs in the AL and 4th most in baseball. It would be foolish to change the order like that. Dye's OBP is almost identical to Thome's, plus he has better speed. And is more likely to score from 1st on a 2b by Thome or PK. Not to mention, he is or best hitter for AVG..........That being said, I doubt Oz will make that change, but just a thought

QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 12:17 PM) With Dye being our most dangerous all around hitter, he gets a lot more RBI chances with Thome and PK in front of him. Yeah but he also is more likely to pick up some of those rbi's that Thome and PK leave out there. BTW, isn't your best hitter SUPPOSE to bat 3rd anyway?
