  1. QUOTE (Sox It To Em @ Apr 11, 2009 -> 03:35 PM) Anderson lines out to left, Sox go down quickly. If thats a definition of a liner, we are in trouble.
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 11, 2009 -> 03:32 PM) For those watching, would you say Colon looks better than Contreras did? Yes, he's hitting his spots and has good movement on his pitches.
  3. QUOTE (Sox It To Em @ Apr 11, 2009 -> 03:08 PM) Span pops out... I thought that would be a typical Twins bloop. Same here
  4. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 10, 2009 -> 06:08 AM) Andy Gonzalez actually made an opening day roster, too. Should we bring him back? The problem with Sweeney is that he's still a platoon player, essentially. He would just be taking the spot of Wise...but he doesn't have quite the range to make up for having to cover for Dye in RF and a little bit for Quentin LF. If Sweeney can come close to posting an 800 OPS for the season, then there's a discussion to be had...or if BA can post a 740 OPS, it would be about the same because of all the balls he'll get to that Sweeney can't in CF. Hawk was right about the Twins and Rays outfields. When you have a CF like Gomez or Upton that can track down almost anything in the gaps, it really allows your corner outfielders to hug the lines, as the Twins do with Span/Cuddyer and Young/Kubel. Of course, Span is almost as athletic defensively as Gomez, same thing w/ Crawford paired with BJ Upton. To bad Anderson doesn't come close to Gomez or Upton on defense.
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 10, 2009 -> 09:56 PM) Yes, it was on a Friday night and our cruise left on Sunday. If you're ever in that area, go to the Hard Rock Casino (the one where Anna Nicole died). The pool has some of the hottest women you'll ever see. Miami in general has got to have the hottest women you will ever see.
  6. QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 10, 2009 -> 09:48 PM) I turned this game off in the 7th and I'm only following for comedic value. LOL
  7. QUOTE (Sox It To Em @ Apr 10, 2009 -> 09:45 PM) And tomorrow the pitching matchup is going to be Colon vs. Liriano... wonderful. Look at the bright side, we will have Brian "The high ceiling" Anderson playing.
  8. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 10, 2009 -> 09:43 PM) Hanley Ramirez is going to be a baseball god, he's already one of the top 3 most dangerous players in the game. Moving to the 3 hole is only going to make things worse for the opposition. What a asset he is at the 3 hole with his speed.
  9. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 10, 2009 -> 09:39 PM) The Marlins are going to kick a ton of ass this year, they're so much fun to watch. Now 4-0 to start the year after a Jorge Cantu walkoff vs the Mets. I totally agree, that team is very exciting. That offense is going to be interesting to watch.
  10. QUOTE (G&T @ Apr 10, 2009 -> 09:38 PM) ...because he had 2 AB's and did as well as Wise could do? Whats next? The high ceiling factor?
  11. I watched the Phillies come back on the Braves earlier this week in this same situation.
  12. QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 10, 2009 -> 09:30 PM) i gotta disagree with the swagger thing personally...i honestly think winning brings a swagger, not visa versa If were depending on a rookie to bring swagger in town, were in trouble.
  13. QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Apr 10, 2009 -> 09:23 PM) Homerun or die trying Isn't that the truth. Hitting clinic being displayed by the Twins.
