  1. QUOTE(Shamrock4Life @ Jul 24, 2006 -> 08:59 PM) Direct Quote from Nuke, "Vazquez is a worthless piece of spiff. He is the greatest 5 inning, barely qualigy for a win worthless dirtbag who ever picked up a baseball." Hey don't shoot the messenger. Does this make me a narc? O, the swear filter is pretty (a term for a man who likes another man). and so is suspending someone for calling it that. I miss Nuke
  2. QUOTE(TheHolyBovine @ Jul 24, 2006 -> 04:42 PM) UPDATE: KW was interviewed by Dibble and Kennedy on XM's "The Show", and said that there's no way that any pitcher off of the major league roster will be traded before the deadline. He said that he told BMac personally that he's not going anywhere. "Brandon McCarthy is part of our present and future. He's not going anywhere." The question now that Kenny is denying BMac, what else do the Sox have that would make this so close to being done. My hope is that it is Ross Gload.
  3. Let's do a "Cubs trade" to get Soraino w/o trading BMac My proposal Gload, Pods, Rogo, and a PTBN for Soriano
  4. QUOTE(AbeFroman @ Jul 24, 2006 -> 04:05 PM) Ever see Manny Ramirez? We now have our complete anti- Gold Glove outfield Good Call!
  5. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 24, 2006 -> 04:02 PM) I think I can say with relative certainty that Carlos Lee will never play for the Sox again as long as KW and Ozzie are around. Understatement. I suspect C Lee will never play for the White Sox again under any circumstances, IMO.
  6. QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ Jul 24, 2006 -> 04:02 PM) the score just reported that the Sox are after Soriano and Carlos Lee! If they had an opposite for gold glove awards, these 2 would win it. Please no C Lee.
  7. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jul 24, 2006 -> 03:57 PM) I really have a hard time seeing the justification of trading McCarthy for 2 months of Soriano. McCarthy is at worst a decent #5 starter under control for 5 more years, and very cheap. The more I think of this, if Pods is not included in a trade, I almost think its a lock that Soriano's stay with the White Sox would be extremely brief. Post of the day. Dick, you are quickly becoming one of my favorite posters.
  8. QUOTE(G&T @ Jul 24, 2006 -> 03:46 PM) ESPN News just reported the deal, and they mentioned that MacDougal could take BMacs spot if/when he goes to Washington. ESPN is full of SHIZAT!!! At least they usually are...
  9. The White Sox can not possibly use all of the prospects they have on the major league roster. Hence, it is ok to trade some. There are not a lot of pitchers on the current roster that will be leaving in the next 3 years. I still like what we have in our minor leagues right now.
  10. Is Sandy Alomar the new Carl Everett? This will be white sox tenure #3 for Sandy.
  11. Anything is better than Widger. I would prefer the return of Ron Kakovice to Widger.
  12. Garcia pitching means it will take about 8+ runs to win. Go Offense!
  13. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 21, 2006 -> 10:09 PM) You'd go from the longest leash in history to the shortest leash. Truth. You could not be more accurate. From nepotism defined to Ozzie's whipping boy.
  14. Who up for starting a link for Tracey > Garcia in the rotation?
  15. Ozzie should give the starters a rest tomorrow with Fredy pitching, here's the line up. 1. Widger C 2. Citron 2B 3. Dye RF 4. Gload 1B 5. Garland DH 6. Ozuna 3B 7. Mack LF 8. Uribe SS 9. BA CF Give a day off to the regulars that are not hitting.
  16. Apologists Aside: Medical Diagnosis, choking.
  17. This is a perfect opportunity for Ross Gload to start playing every day.
  18. Here is a pretty one to ride out the rest of the season in ...
  19. QUOTE(Felix @ Jul 21, 2006 -> 09:14 PM) Outside of that one inning, Buehrle has been fantastic. Of course this is like saying serial killers generally are not bad people except for when they senselessly murder other people.
  20. QUOTE(soxunited @ Jul 21, 2006 -> 09:11 PM) Sometimes I just want to email Ozzie (or I assume his son, isn't he the one who answers his emails?) and just say seriously, wtf is going on the clubhouse right now? Is this just a case of end of July blaws or what? This team just looks like a shadow of themselves right now and it's unfortunate It is.
  21. If last year was Corpseball ... can this be Spiffball?
  22. An injury ... now that is one way things could get worse.
  23. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 21, 2006 -> 08:56 PM) Joey Cora = running us out of innings. New solution for Cora: Cut off a finger each time he costs us a run.
