  1. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 02:39 PM) I bet you that Vazquez will be back on in the 6th inning next game. Ozzie is stubborn. We would not call him stubborn if he kept sticking his finger in an electrical socket to see if the same thing happened every time.
  2. QUOTE(CWSOX45 @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 02:38 PM) I blame Ozzie, how many of us saw this coming? As a manager u have to know what your players are capable of and not capable of, Ozzie did another terrible job today letting Vazquez even start the 6th inning.... fishin unreal... Everybody saw it coming except Ozzie who is shocked by the same thing every 5 days.
  3. QUOTE(CWSOX45 @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 02:35 PM) vazquez should have never started the 6th inning, sure cotts didnt help him out, but how many fishin times do we have to watch vazquez spiff himself in the 6th. Maybe Ozzie thinks he is living in that movie Groundhog's Day.
  4. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 02:33 PM) So much for the bullspiff that Ozzie and Coop told us about taking this guy out before the 6th. This statement is almost as true as the idea that the team would manufacture runs.
  5. Obviously, Vazquez needs to be abducted before the 6th innning in his next start to prevent him form even seeing the mound otherwise Ozzie will march him out there like Joseph Stalin marching Russian soldiers through the field to find land mines.
  6. B.F. Skinner needs to teach Ozzie a few things. If Vazquez always causes pain in the 6th inning, avoid the pain. Take Vazquez out before the 6th.
  7. This is why Ozzie will be manager of the year again in 2006.
  8. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 02:16 PM) Am i the only one here who thinks we should rearrange our 3-4-5 to Dye-Thome-PK I second that.
  9. Manufactured Runs this inning. No homeruns. 2 runs scored because 2 advanced on a fly out. Amazing!
  10. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 02:14 PM) A wild pitch would be nice. Or a 2 run single by the MVP
  11. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 02:04 PM) The Scotty Pods special. I thought that was the pop out. Or is it getting picked off first?
  12. This inning is probably the ball game, one way or the other.
  13. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 01:54 PM) Cause we're still the better team, one that is playing like crap right now but still better. Like I said, the Yankees won't beat us out for the wildcard this year. If we get this team back on the right track then we'll be in the playoffs, if not, then the Twins will be in the playoffs. The Yankees still won't win the wildcard. Truth
  14. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 01:25 PM) .427 OBP??? 20 for 24 in steals? More BB's than K's. TO look at this in a different light, there are other people the Yanks could have acquired that would have scared me a lot more. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 01:51 PM) Can I ask why the Yankees don't worry you? They just swept us with guys named Guiel, Cairo, and Cabrera starting for them. They haven't missed the playoffs since I can't even remember. They just added a guy with the 6th highest OBP in all of baseball. Their starters have even been better than ours. They worry the hell out of me. The Royals or D-Rays coud have swept us last week.
  15. Would they make a White Sox uniform in Tony Gwynn size to fit Andruw Jones?
  16. QUOTE(Wedge @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 01:17 PM) true. For some reason, I'm not worried about Abreu to the Yankees. Maybe that reason is stupidity, but hey. Abreu's 2006 are not that impressive. I don't think this trade is a big deal either.
  17. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 01:14 PM) Not good as far as the Wild Card race goes, Abreu is a HUGE updgrade for them. Abreu's 06 stats are not impressive. This trade does nothing for me.
  18. The pitching staff is obviously set for the stretch run.
