  1. Who else here thought Uribe was going to fire that one into the Tiger dugout?
  2. Well ... at least Pods did not strike out looking
  3. QUOTE(Brian @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 01:44 PM) Anderson 3:16 GOLD
  4. QUOTE(Capn12 @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 01:42 PM) Of all people, it had to be the 2 slowest people in the history of organized baseball on the bases for us there. Did you factor post-injury Bo Jackson into that?
  5. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 01:37 PM) Wait, did Ozzie just say something to Juan? But the swear filter prevents us from entering the context here QUOTE(atrain081 @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 01:38 PM) alomar swings at everything Just like ... Juan Friggin Uribe
  6. QUOTE(Wedge @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 01:33 PM) is Cintron going to be our everyday SS in that case? I would not count on it being Ross Gload
  7. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 01:31 PM) I'm beginning to agree with you that Uribe is gone this offseason. Or at least relagated to the bench very soon.
  8. Can't wait to see Uribe get up to bat and swing for a six run homer.
  9. Uribe moving like Grandpa Munster costs us two runs. At this point, swear filter keeps me from accurately expressing myself.
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 01:22 PM) I wonder how much confidence he has right now? What are the odds of Citron pinch hitting later in the game for Uribe?
  11. Uribe could have knitted a sweater in the time it took him to turn that double play.
  12. It is at this point I must remind Kenny Rogers to start sucking.
  13. So much for the theory that Kenny Rogers would be an easy target today.
  14. QUOTE(daa84 @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 10:03 AM) haha lets not forget one of them started the all star game and the other was on the team I will take it a step further. These are the last two AL all star game starters.
  15. QUOTE(YASNY @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 10:02 AM) Hell, I was green with envy before last year. I was also envious when the Royals, Blue Jays, DBacks, Mets, etc (all expansion teams that won WS since I've been a baseball fan). Point noted.
  16. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 09:56 AM) The only other way I can see getting a leadoff hitter on this team is at shortstop. And with what has happened with Uribe recently, I wouldn't rule it out. And that's if you want Josh Fields to play LF next season. You could go a Dellucci or Matthews Jr. instead for a couple of years. But that would most likely have to come through a trade (getting a leadoff hitting SS), unless you wanted Iguchi to leadoff, but I don't want him to move from the #2 spot. This is the only objection I have in dumping Pods. We still need a lead off man, and there are not many open positions to plug a lead off man in to. If Fields or Sweeney became the starting LF next year, out best lead off options might be Brian Anderson or Juan Uribe (gulp).
  17. Cubs fans are green with envy. 2 World Series Titles in 15 years of baseball. With the suckfest that is the NL, the Marlins could go to their 3rd World Series.
  18. QUOTE(YASNY @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 09:49 AM) We need a leadoff hitter now. Agreed. But where will he play?
  19. Time for another pattened 8-game winning streaks to get going. Memo to Mark Buehrle; Stop sucking!!!
  20. Point 1: Pablo Ozuna did not have a lot of outfield practice before becoming our fourth outfielder this year. Point 2: If Fields or Sweeney is in LF next year, we still need a lead off hitter.
  21. OT: Maggs needs a haircut. If he dyed that mop of hair red, he would look like Bozo the Clown.
