  1. QUOTE(SnB @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 04:47 PM) you don't happen to wear pink polos, with the collar up........and gel your hair for your 8 AM class too do you? I doubt it.. no one can be as bad as YOU..
  2. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 04:44 PM) A guy I wonder about is Ric Flair. The pictures of him when he was younger show that he was enormous. To this day, he's still a really big guy, even with the man boobs. So, maybe he's just a big guy? My dad and uncle have known him for years we used to watch him wrestle at the civic center in Florida. He owned some property in DeLand next to my aunt and uncle and he used to put calfs on a platform and pull them around the field. As weird as he was, he was always a nice guy. I was always freaked out by that "whhhoooooo" thing he did. And he would sweat puddles.
  3. QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 03:40 PM) Hey these things aren't gonna start growing some kind of fungus in a few years are they??????? LMAO..
  4. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 04:33 PM) Word has it that they go through their life, and then reenact what happens when they tape. Its pretty much up to the producers to make them act a certain way. They have stopped taping and "guided" them I've been told.. Like that fiasco with Jason and LC.. at the fashion show supposedly Jason and her got into a second confrontation in front of her father and her father had some words for Jason. LC is a fashion major and already has an internship with a pretty large designer so her butt was on the line with that show. Jason totally could have effed up some major things for her. I haven't watched last nights yet, but in last weeks show I thought it was funny how she told him he could stop by but her father would not allow him in the house. That guy is such a moron. I hope he's not good enough to be being looked at by any major league scouts..
  5. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 04:30 PM) damn
  6. QUOTE(Mercy! @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 04:10 PM) I’m not sure what it says that well over two decades into a global AIDS epidemic a multi-millionaire would share a needle while doing drugs, or taking vitamin shots, or whatever he was doing. But I would posit that your Raffy example has little to do with the development of a sane public health policy for athletic sports. It’s always pretty easy to make claims about the tone of a post or the attitude of a poster who may think differently from ourselves when we disagree. Stick to the subject, Steff, and we’ll be fine. What would one need to do to convince you that the possibility of HIV transmission is NOT a "Legit concern in the bathroom area." as you stated? If the folks in the bathroom weren’t doing various different kinds of “sharing” amongst themselves, of course. The Raffy comment was in jest.. Save your posting suggestions. And I don't care if "we're fine". There's nothing you can do to convince me or change my opinion. HIV is deadly and unpredictable. Everyday new things come up concerning it. To say that it's not a legit bathroom (or anywhere - including hospitals where people get HIV from blood transfusions...) concern is ignorant - as in unformed - at the very least. Until there is a cure, it is an unknown. And a risk I'm fine with being overly cautious about.
  7. QUOTE(Steff @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 11:09 AM) Accounting manager made a $235K "mistake"... :headshake LMAO.. and it gets better... not only did she not make the transfer.. when she finally did it.. she sent the $$ to the wrong account... at the wrong bank.
  8. QUOTE(J-MAN @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 03:52 PM) On further review my son said I received the invoice today - you are correct the balance due now is not the entire balance - I spoke too soon - apparently their on-line account shows the entire balance as due but the invoice received in the mail is the 50%. Thanks and sorry next time I will wait to get all the info before asking. Oh no problem. I never count on the on line invoice. It's been wrong in the past so I always wait for the paper one.
  9. QUOTE(3E8 @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 03:41 PM) The Laguna Beach cast was at Zero Gravity (weirdo teenage dance club in Naperville) last week. They were at 10 Pin the week before.
  10. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 03:30 PM) Its according to where you work. So in reality you file a state income tax form for each state you play a game in. Are you serious...??? They have to file 15 (or so) different returns..?? That can't be...
  11. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 03:20 PM) I actually didn't realize you could do partial deposits, except in that World Series promotion they did (note: I had only had seasons once before, in 2005, and we bought the Ozzie plan in-season). So I just paid the whole thing when I bought my 27-game plan last month. Would have been nice to hold onto some of that cash for a while longer. Lesson learned. To be honest.. I should add a disclaimer.. this is what we pay and we are full season. But I have seen others say they have been invoiced the same in the past.
  12. QUOTE(Mercy! @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 03:08 PM) Unless these men plan to share needles Raffy Palmero does... As for the rest of your post... self education is only as good as the info supplied. All is not known about HIV, so I have no problem with people - myself included - being overy cautious. And certiantly wouldn't talk down to them because of it.. and yes.. that's what I see here.

    Joe Smith Trial..

    QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 02:45 PM) fair enough. Now moving on to finding the deepest hole. Not good enough... he should suffer as much as it's thought she suffered.. revived.. then repeated.

    Joe Smith Trial..

    QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 02:40 PM) On what grounds were they overruled? I think this guy needs to be buried in the deepest hole and forgotten, but he should get a fair trial. I didnt think it was legal to use recorded confessions if the confessor was not aware he/she was being recorded. He was in a jail holding cell... And if common sense didn't kick in.. signs plain as day stating that visits were being monitored and recorded are all over the place.
  15. QUOTE(The Critic @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 02:33 PM) I'm not saying his concerns are stupid, his statement was - IMO, of course. Not so many articulate pro football players out there.

    Joe Smith Trial..

    They are playing recordings of the conversation where oe admits to his brother what he's done to that poor child. http://www.heraldtribune.com/apps/pbcs.dll...E&template=ovr2 Jailhouse confessions recorded Over the course of the trial, jurors have heard testimony about telephone conversations Joseph Smith had with his brother and mother after his arrest. Tuesday afternoon, they are expected to hear the recordings of the actual conversations. Prosecutors were preparing to play jailhouse conversations that Smith had with his brother mother that, according to earlier testimony, include information about where Carlie's body was dumped and what happened to her. Defense attorney Adam Tebrugge objected to the recordings on constitutional grounds, saying Smith had not been advised of his rights and that Smith's brother was, in effect, acting as an agent of law enforcement. His objections were overruled.
  17. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 02:13 PM) Pfft. If you think I am exposing my daughter to you... Ziinnnggg...
  18. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 02:14 PM) I think we censor two words around here. Should be 20..
  19. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 01:02 PM) Why? It is communed through blood transfusions, sex, exchanging bodily fluids, it isnt an airborne virus. What i meant is if player A has HIV and gets a cut, and runs into player B who also has a cut but not HIV, and Player A's blood is near Player B's cut, the chance of transmitting the virus is very very small. I wouldn't want to take that chance. Would you? Risk your life, your wife, child, or other family members lives..? I think the point he was trying to make is that if he was in such close quarters.. it would have been nice for him to tell them of his condition so they could take precautions that would make them feel better.
  20. QUOTE(The Critic @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 12:54 PM) But even a shower wouldn't spread HIV, nor would playing naked Xbox ( Rated X-box? ). If he had voiced concerns about blood or something, that would be something I could understand, but if he really thinks a guy walking around a locker room is going to give him HIV, then I just think that's ridiculous. I'm not saying a shower would.. but blood and semen and (debatable) saliva would (from studies I've read). A cut, a quick "alone" session, or spitting might be the stem of teammates concerns. I have no idea.. but to say their concerns are stupid.. is kinda... stupid. IMO, of course.
  21. It's always been 40% in October, 40% in December, and the balance in January. This year the dates were/are 10/14, 12/1, and 1/20/06
  22. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 01:33 PM) off the subject, The picture in your sig doesnt look like Joe Crede at all to me. On the subject, he may not have been THAT good, but it is just another guy that the Sox are going to have to replace on the radio broadcast next year. Continuity is very important in radio sports broadcasts if you ask me. People need to work with each other a while to get to know their ins and outs. Like Farmer and Rooney finishing sentences and doing the same ad together. I heard Bruce Levines rant, and the worst thing about it was that Dolgin kept saying "Bruce, do you want to talk about this off-air?" and Bruce just kept going on and on. I cheered in my car when Dolgin said "See ya" when Bruce hung up his phone. Some aren't so familiar with the "if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all" motto.. I still wish I had heard the rant. Everyone that did told me it was priceless.
  23. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 12:53 PM) I guess the smiley and pure idiocy of the comment wasn't enough. Now it's green. Sorry.. it's been a long week already.
  24. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 01:19 PM) I think it is their real life, but the script is set for them. I also have heard they only record on the weekends. Thursday to Sunday.
  25. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 01:06 PM) My office just had a discussion about this, lol. My coworker told me that all of the kids from the original show were 21 when it occured, and that it all has been scripted from the start. I have no proof, she could have been talking outta her ass for all I know. But I thought that it might be scripted when those kids went to Spring Break and were drinking like fools throughout the whole episode. I wouldnt think MTV would want to put themselves into a position in which they were showing off underage kids drinking themselves into oblivion. A friend of mine is a relative of one of those ding dongs.. they were in HS when it started. LC was starting her Junior year. Her daddy knows some tv people and once that TV show "The OC" took off they pitched. They are given a "guideline" but for the most part it's as real as spoiled brats can be. As for the spring break drunk fest.. it was real. Stephen almost got arrested the night he called Kristen a whore. I posted their prom pictures a while back. My girlfriend has told me some hysterical stories about them.
