QUOTE(The Critic @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 12:49 PM) I didn't read any mention of the bathroom area. He seemed concerned about the guy walking around and talking to the guys in the locker room. I'm just going by what he said. If he has concerns beyond walking and talking, he didn't get quoted on them. I'm taking liberty and assuming he took showers in that locker room. Hell.. half the time pro locker rooms are filled with half naked men playing X-Box... they have no shame. -

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 12:42 PM) What's even sadder is that Steff probably wouldn't know the kid from anybody else, but she knows Southsider for a few years and probably knows him personally. Now this new person comes along, and it's all "what have you done for me lately?". I guess we know what friendship means to Steff. Madison is his daughter.. I'm pretty sure I'll know her.

http://abclocal.go.com/kgo/story?section=bizarre&id=3623740 Nov. 10 - The littermates of a Northern California puppy may be green with envy. That's because a golden retriever born last week is green. The little green fella is one of a litter of four. But his littermates are the usual blond color. The owner, a dog breeder, says he's mystified about the green color. Veterinarians say the pup's fur may have been stained by the placenta during birth. Whatever the cause, the little green guy now has name -- Wasabi. That's the spicy green mustard put on sushi.

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 12:26 PM) I remember these debates when Magic came out and admitted he was HIV+. Isnt there a very small probability of contracting the virus even when the contact involves infected blood near open wounds? I dont know the specifics, but i thought I read that the virus dies immediately when it is exposed to open air. If that was the case it would never spread, no? -

QUOTE(The Critic @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 12:04 PM) Wow. Incredible that someone still honestly thinks that in 2005. Legit concern in the bathroom area, no? -
QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 12:10 PM) Last year my wife and I were at our first store by 5AM. It was the first year that we did it, but by 10AM we were pretty much done with our shopping. I'm done with my shopping except for the husband.

QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 11:49 AM) I'm sorry, I was just surprised when I wasn't able to write a certain word, but could say "nazi ass chicken f***ing b****"... I understand the respect aspect. I don't ever intended to call someone that name, it just struck me as odd. that's all. Oh.. that's for me. I wanted to be sure folks could call me by my slang name..

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 11:14 AM) meh, I do that in my sleep. But we have 1.2 billion of revenue a quarter to hide it in. Juuuuuuuuust kidding... I don't make those big'a mistakes. It was a funds transfer mistake. To the payroll account.. :rolly Luckily it's for the outside sales reps and their checks get mailed today so they'll never know. It's just the point...

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 10:56 AM) No s*** they did. Fed-ex fleeced the post office. And fleeced damn near every freight airline and HASP network in the country. Monopoloistic bastards. Out of the blue a few years ago they tried to bid on our LVP line.. basically small home delivery items. A small % of what they do now, at the time we were doing about 3+ million more a month then them exclusively.. Thankfully the CEO told them to get lost. They would have ruined it completely.
-
QUOTE(kapkomet @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 10:49 AM) In case you didn't know it, Fed-Ex moves most of the mail around now. I'm VERY familiar how all that went down. So are we.. and they made a gazillion bucks off that deal..

QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 10:36 AM) not sure steff but I do know that some players have been traded away from no-income tax states and if they have a clause they can get additional money for going to the new state. I imagine that when a player goes to a Florida team that he gets a residence so that he can take advantage Not sure on the perticulars, but I imagine their main homestead would be the filing state. When my dad moved to Illinois from Florida, Florida was his main homestead for most of the year so he didn't have to pay Illinois state tax the first year. When my mom came a few months later Illinois was her main homestead that year and they ended up owing Illinois a few bucks. Regardless, I would say you're right in that they get concessions when those situations arise.

QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 08:56 AM) I'll play for Tampa, AZ, or Florida. No income tax right? Don't you have to pay according to the state you reside in...?

1) Ziploc Bags are Male, because they hold everything in, but you can see right through them. 2) Copiers are Female, because once turned off; it takes a while to warm them up again. It's an effective reproductive device if the right buttons are pushed, but can wreak havoc if the wrong buttons are pushed. 3) A Tire is Male, because it goes bald and it's often over-inflated. 4) A Hot Air Balloon is Male, because, to get it to go anywhere, you have to light a fire under it, and of course, there's the hot air part. 5) Sponges are Female, because they're soft, squeezable and retain water. 6) A Web Page is Female, because it's always getting hit on. 7) A Subway is Male, because it uses the same old lines to pick people up. 8) An Hourglass is Female, because over time, the weight shifts to the bottom. 9) A Hammer is Male, because it hasn't changed much over the last 5,000 years, but it's handy to have around. 10) A Remote Control is Female... Ha! You thought it'd be male , didn't you? But consider this - it gives a man pleasure, he'd be lost without it, and while he doesn't always know the right buttons to push, he keeps trying!

http://www.wreg.com/Global/story.asp?S=4092614 Trouble on Board MEMPHIS - Memphis International Airport is a busy place in the afternoon. They call it the afternoon push. Planes came and went Tuesday like normal, except for Northwest Flight 3668. It was stuck because of two flight attendants who couldn't get along. "I think maybe there was some issue we didn't know about. Maybe they got into an argument yesterday, or this morning. I don't know," says passenger Steve Avent. The flight, operated by Mesaba Airlines, was supposed to take off at 2:20 PM from Memphis. It didn't leave until more than two hours later. "To this point we still haven't received an apology," says passenger Lance Brown. "It wasn't until several people went up to the gate we found out the reason for what happened." Passengers say the reason for what happened was a fight in first class. They say the fight was between two flight attendants over where to put a bag. "I think they were kind of confused about who was the lead flight attendant," says Brown. A spokesperson for Mesaba Airlines says the flight attendants got into a dispute, and the pilot made the "correct and appropriate decision" to bring the plane back to the gate to switch out the crew. The spokesperson says the main interest of the airline is the safety of passengers. The airline is still looking into the dispute. Many airline passengers we spoke with Tuesday afternoon said they're disappointed they'd have to worry about something like this in a time of heightened security. "Out of all that, we got a coupon for 35 dollars," says Lance Brown. He hopes to use his coupon on a flight that will come with a little less drama next time.

QUOTE(drowninginflame @ Nov 14, 2005 -> 08:29 PM) How hard is it to score tickets? Should I buy them the day they go on sale? And are bleachers worth sitting in and are they always $10? Hard. Try that but you'll likely end up going to a broker. Bleachers are dry... so if that's a concern, don't get seats there.
