  1. QUOTE(Texsox @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 03:50 PM) I have watched the Boy Scout youth protection training dozens of times and am one of the trainers. Possible scenarios include giving the kid alcohol or drugs, then telling the kid he's going to get into trouble unless he consents. Showing the kid attention, offering to buy him things. Gradually shutting the kid off from everything else, then threatening to abondon the kid unless he consents. All sorts of scenarios that sick people do to kids. Worked for Michael Jackson..
  2. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 03:47 PM) Did I not just say that? There's an echo in here...
  3. QUOTE(qwerty @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 03:42 PM) With what? Suckers and balloon animals? Come on... if he didn't want to have sex with someone 70 years older than him and of the same sex ( assuming he is not gay) he could have said fish you and leave. Drugs...? Alcohol..?
  4. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 03:42 PM) Yes it's common knowledge the ISFA owns the stadium & the lots & office bldg's around it. . They don't own the lots...
  5. Congrats to him and his soon to be new wife. They will be exchanging vows just hours from now in Hawaii...
  6. LMAO.. Frank.. an Indian... Uh.. no. He'll retire first. If he's not playing here.. he's not playing at all. He moved back here for 2 reasons.. to work and be with his kids. He'll do the latter first and foremost.
  7. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 03:09 PM) and if we want a huge payroll, it HAS to be this way. It sucks for people like me who are on a really tight budget, but if you want to do the crime, you have to do the time. Uhh.. yea.. "but if we want top talent, we're going to have to contribute to it in this way."
  8. And where does it suggest that..? I did see this.. "Sox fans spend a great deal on drinks, food, parking, and souvenirs, but they spend almost all of it inside the stadium because there is nowhere else to go. " And you go measure pee pee's with someone else. It's common knowledge that the Sox don't own the lots.
  9. QUOTE(Sox Hustler @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 02:29 PM) I know they aren't raising prices by a lot but they have been raising it higher the past 2 years. At least from what I remember. How much more are they gonna raise it? I go to as many games as I can but with parking you're guarenteed to spend about $50 bucks each time you go to a game. Relative to the other side of town.. the Sox are a bargin with their pricing. Also, they are one of the last in all of MLB who does staggard pricing. I know it sucks for those strapped for cash, but if we want top talent, we're going to have to contribute to it in this way. And if we keep winning.. it will only get worse.

    Odd Bush thing.

    QUOTE(kapkomet @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 02:46 PM) It just goes to show that GWB really is a dick. Did you see the email...???
  11. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 02:47 PM) Some of us were still holding out hope he would return to the Sox, even as unrealistic as it was. He left right after the move.. I knew he was going to take the job.

    QUOTE(kapkomet @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 02:39 PM) This is cool. I got him stuck between two balls dangling upsidedown.. LMAO. Save the peanut gallery comments..
  13. QUOTE(SnB @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 02:41 PM) i usually buy larges for t-shirts, hoodies, etc. and a large fits perfectly for me. But i could see how someone would want to order one size larger because the cutoffs by your wrists are kinda small......but i have small wrists so that dosen't apply to me. also: the fleece is my favorite thing i've gotten so far. Snicker... he, he.
  14. It's got nothing to do with the ISA. The lots are not owned or run by the Sox. They are owned by a private group, leased to the Sox and run by a parking company - which is union. They have to make their $$ and pay their staff, security, etc. I say the Sox don't get 50%, but I don't know, so for the sake of appeasing I figured the $$ at 50%. 50% is a pretty big cut.. for doing NOTHING.
  15. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 02:19 PM) ps john adkins is on the cup, but neal cotts is not. discuss. No room for his hair.
  16. QUOTE(3E8 @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 02:12 PM) Plus you are being way too generous with this figure. Say 80% got to the game via automobile. They only paid $15/car, not $15/person. Oh s***.. that's right. Figure 2 people per car and it cuts the revenue down to $7 million for the season. Thanks 3E8 The numbers wont be accessable until after March so I'll have to wait to get a look a them until then.
  17. QUOTE(valponick @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 02:08 PM) Settle down, its ok to not be right about everything. I wouldn't know anything about that.
  18. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 02:01 PM) Hey Steff, the real estate group that owns the parking lots doesnt happen to be Reinsdorf's group does it? It is.
  19. QUOTE(valponick @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 01:31 PM) I think he was just trying to show you that you were wrong about the percentage the Sox got from parking.... And where did he do that..? Sox attendance for '05 - 2.4 million Let's say 80% of them parked in the lots which brings that # to 1.9 million Average parking $15.00 ($17 for day of game, $13 for season ticket holders, and not figuring in those that have residential parking or park in the $8 lot)) = $28.5 million $'s Let's say the Sox get 50% (not a snowballs chance in hell they do, but let's pretend they do) that's $14.2 million for the season. How is that 10's of millions of $$'s...? It's not.
  20. QUOTE(heirdog @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 01:24 PM) Lyle Mouton: Came equipped with his own posse of LSU guys that all sat around telling him how good he was and that he should get to play more. Another time I was in a Chicago Bar in '96 or '97 (The Drink, I believe) LMAO.. that is Lyle to a "T". When he was with Baltimore he was the same way. The Drink was the ultimate Sox hang out in '97 and '98 along with the Hunt Club. Good times, good times...
  21. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 12:13 PM) Heads, I am really dissapointed http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=43071 You expected more.. ?
  22. OK Kid.. you win.. gimme a few and I'll get that cookie for ya.
  23. QUOTE(knightni @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 12:04 PM) Better the Cards than the Angels. Definitely. I still had hope after last weekend, but I'm happy for him. Like I said, he's been wanting this job for a long time.
  24. QUOTE(Iwritecode @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 11:46 AM) I'm confused. What does the age of the victim have to do with the length of the sentence? Nothing. That's the beauty of the stupidity if the idiot that made the statement.
