He would have to take the $$ from the Wings budget to do so, which is not allowed. Unless I guess he chooses to take the $$ out of his personal pocket. FWIU the hockey owners still had to fund their teams in case they played this year. I would imagine that the Wings $$ is sitting in an interest bearing account waiting to be distributed. When are they supposed to decide if the players are getting their salaries or not anyway?

They can't co-mingle the two. The finances must be kept separate. When the Bulls were a cash cow everyone used to scream at JR to use some of that $$ for the Sox and it couldn't be done.

Kinda related.. yesterday there were several asshole Bears fans throwing s***, and it was hiting them while they sat on the bench, at the Indy players. Beer cups, garbage, etc.. and saying some not so flattering things about their families.. the Indy players contacted securty and the 4 fans were removed without incident. Football.. the calm and rational sport.

Which sucks for him.. but I still agree with the D'Backs.

So if a guy with a history of DUI's applied and gets a truck driving job because the company didn't ask.. "do you have any DUI's?", or that a child molestor gets a job at a day care because the daycare didn't ask "by the way... are you a child molestor?" that's to bad on the employer and they should have to continue with the employment? Backround checks take up to 45 days to come back. If it's in the employment contract - which I'd bet it is and that's why Wally isn't making more of a stink about getting paid - the D'Backs are 100% in the right. JMO, of course.

They are also banking profits from the AS game. Their season ticket base is, at least, more than doubling this year.

Actually.. it's about the 15th bulls*** rant he's made in the past week (his favorites seem to be the bulls*** that payroll hasn't increased in the past 4 years and SS has had to correct him several times) so I was being a bit on the facetious side.

Yes, he should have, IMO. Maybe if he told them about it prior to being hired he might have had a chance. But when you represent a "company" in the public as a manager does.. you and your personal life are open to all. His past is embarrassing. It's unfortunate, but I agree he should have been fired.
