Jason.. the Sox payroll was up nearly $13 million from '03. They did invest the $$ into payroll.
-
What exactly does that mean..?
-
Oh God.. I just watched this again. It is beyond me how anyone could possibly defend Artest and all the rest of the idiots who participated in this mess. I honestly truly pray that none of you ever have to watch something like this happen to a loved one of yours. I can't imagine the horror not only of those in the way of him jumping in the crowd.. but of those small children who witnessed the incident.
-
Stirring.. not smoking..
-
Hmm.. guess I misunderstood. I interpreted this to mean if one got banned you supported them both getting banned. Oh well.
-
There, too.. LMAO.. Jason I love catching your grammar errors..
-
Can we get a pot stirring smiley...?
-
That's not what you said earlier, but OK.
-
Ron Artest is how old...? You want me, and the other innocent people he may have hurt on his way into the crowd, to excuse the behavior because Wallace pushed him..? If anything it was Artests showboating on the table that made the s*** worse. The idiot even put on headphones. Talk about pissing the crowd off.. A few cards short of a full deck obviously.
-
Ben Wallace didn't force Artest into the crowd. He made that decision in his own.
-
OMG.. That's exactly what Jim and I said last night. "You can take the kids out of the troubled neighborhoods, but you can't take the trouble out of the kids" A shame.
-
Oh no you didn't.. I kind of understand the mindset of the players at that moment.. but there is no excuse for what he did and I hold him more responsible for what happened. Had he not gone into the crowd, and simply made enough noise and got the ass identified this would not have turned into what it did. I know it sounds too good to be true.. Artest being civil in that situation.. but this exact thing happened at the Bears game yesterday and the players - who were being hit with garbage and other crap - simply pointed the idiots out and they got removed from the crowd.
-
Are you kidding me??? Ugh.. makes me want to :puke
-
Jason.. maybe watch that video again. It's clear that Artest hit the guy he went after first. The beer tosser got in a few shots from behind but I don't see where Artest got him back. By the time he turned around there were several people between them as far as I can see. And I can't agree with you.. a player of any sport going into the stands is so far out of line it's not even funny. What if Artest has stepped on and injured you or worse.. your kid on the way to get the beer tosser. Would you still feel what he did "wasn't as bad..."?
-
They can say it, but it'll never work. That idiot Ligue was been banned from Comiskey, but he was seen there several times after the incident.
-
So then what is it you do not agree with "big time"....?
-
And so, IN MY OPINON, they should all be gone from basketball if they do something like that. Going into the crowd.. bulls***. Ban them for life. And I didn't offer an opinion on the fan so you can save the redirect to me on that matter.
-
Well.. if you hung out with us common folk more, I'd pick on you accordingly.
-
I just watched what happened for the first time.. I am speechless. I agree Artest should never play the game ever again.

Thanks! You can't really tell from that picture.. but Abby is just a tad over 3lbs and her sister is right at 2.5. They are sooo tiny. I thought Ginger was going to crush her, but after about 5 hours Abby was running around the house chasing Ginger. Ginger is 63lbs. It was hysterical to see!!

A little bit of that.. and a few other things. Mainly I just don't like some of the bulls*** I've read specifically from Jeckle. The s*** about republicans (regardless of my political alliance), the personal attacks on people who outwardly stated they voted for Bush, the bulls*** about the soldiers, and the countless other classless s*** that he's posted in SL&P insulting nearly everyone in one way, shape, or form. And spiff, you might not have ever heard it, but I've heard people refer to vanilla for white folks and chocolate for black folks. And, IMO, that's exactly what he was doing. Thank you for asking, eye. Sigh.... there. I'm done. Sorry everyone.
-
And I see you've filled your idiotic post quota already.

I think you think that because he doesn't have to pay the hockey players he has extra $$.. is that what you're trying to say..? Again.. I have no idea of his personal finances.. but that payroll for the hockey team is not $$ that's at his personal disposal. That $$ has to have been allocated already for at least 1 season - and I'd bet 2, but I really have no idea.
-
I don't know anything about his personal finances. But I'd bet he's not taking his personal $$ to pay for the Tigers increase in payroll. Like I said earlier, the funds were likely planned due to the AS game. And like I also said, the hockey $$ was alloted way before the lockout so it's not like he has all those players salaries at his disposal. Also, that $$ is not for his personal use. It's invested in a business. Regardless.. it doesn't matter. He can't take from one and pay for the other. The two don't have anything to do with each other.
