What the hell was wrong with the talent this year..?
The Sox knew Loaiza would implode? Knew Frank & Maggs would go down with injuries? Knew Crede would stink worse than 6 month old grouper left on a Louisiana dock?
Those 4 things didn't happen.. the Sox win the division. Without a 5th starter, too.
It wouldn't. But according to you it won't happen.
b****, moan, b****, moan, b****, moan.... toss in a little ... and what do you get...
I4E.
Post those winning lotto numbers when you get a chance.. k.. thanks.
:headshake
What was the Marlins payroll last year..? What was the Angels payroll the year before? And what is the Red Sox (who will likely be eliminated next) payroll...? How about the Mets? And Baltimore..? And the Cubs...?
So payroll, big or little, doesn't mean s***. The talent on the field wins games.
And please stop SCREAMING.. we read you just fine.
What part of the offer to Colon was GUARANTEED did you not understand..? Also.. the contract to Maggs was GUARANTEED with incentive clauses. Not deferred.
What stud pitcher was there to replace him with...???
And don't reply with Randy Johnson.
As well.. according to the financial increase the Sox did make.. they would have gone beyond the $12 million profit from the previous year by $7 million if Colon had signed. That means the payroll would have gone up $19 million last year.. How much is good enough for you..??
:banghead Ouch..
Oh get over it.. Colon refused the $$ and it was GUARANTEED. That fat slob - but awesome inning eater.. - walked away from here on his own.
I wanted him to stay probably more than anyone else here - because he's a gamer - but him not here is not the Sox fault. Not one bit.
If Maggs was going to be OK Carl never would have been brought it, and that's a "rumor" I believe 1500000% in. Garcia $$ was carryover from '03. Jose was in the budget from '03 (not the carryover.. but in the plan).
And guys.. please don't argue over this crap. It's October... lot's of time.
If Maggs hadn't gotten hurt.. the $ to re-sign him would have been there. Even still, there is an offer on the table.. and I think the Sox are crazy for it personally.
I'm sure he'll correct me if I'm wrong.. but I think it's better off in the sense that we didn't (or likely won't) end up paying a crazy amount of money to a player that might never be back to 100%. No one is happy about losing Maggs. Well... except you as it gives you something else to b**** about.
I swear you remind me so much of my friend Henry...
With class, IMO. To which DC thanked him for the "kind words"
But he didn't bring it out. That was done long ago.
I don't think it was low. I think DC's wife is a prude and has no business commenting about it anyway. She should just sit down and STHU.
1. Grab a calculator. (you won't be able to do this one in your head)
2. Key in the first three digits of your phone number (NOT the area code)
3. Multiply by 80
4. Add 1
5. Multiply by 250
6. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number
7. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number again.
8. Subtract 250
9. Divide number by 2
Not losing Maggs by choice.. and last time I checked Lee was still a member of the Sox.
Why don't you give your "the sky is falling" sermon a rest. :sleep
I don't see Jerry and most of the others being a part of that type of embarrassment.. but who knows. I think they'd sell in a heart beat. Most of the investors - to the shagrin of several here :rolly - are in this to make $$.. the second the Sox start losing any they'll agree to sell, IMO.
It does matter.
Perhaps you should read up on what happened because it doesn't support this argument. He claims he was ganged up on because of favortism, but in reality he was ganged up on because he posted a BS lie, and was called on it.
