Ya know what.. it's all relative. I don't like some things about my job, and I complain about them. It's human nature.

We ended up going to this game last night and he was a lunatic. We could hear him screaming from the mound. Very ignorant. And I don't know if they said anything about it, or if you saw it on TV, but he got tossed for giving the finger to the Cards bench. After the game he nearly hit people speeding out of the parking lot. He's a moron.

He's not quite 62 yet RR..

Ya know what.. he is.. and ya know what else.. Rickey would still be a fine leadoff hitter, and would steal more bases in the rest of this year than Harris will in the next 2 years. Would not be a bad pickup.. especially since he'd take league minimum just to play in the bigs again. He is a class act on the field. Can't argue that.

It's on tonight.. or it was on last night? And if it's tonight.. is there any speculation what the secret is..? And if it was last night.. what was it?

Last years team had the tools to succeed. They just crapped out at the end. We needed a pitcher. We got Garcia. last years team with Garcia would have seen and had an excellent chance to advance deep into the post-season.

He wanted to stay here.. for a handshake and a song... rolleyeyes.gif but that's a story for another day. I would love to have Robbie back here. Dejavu, eh..

Absofrigginlutely. Last year he made a world of difference. The guy is nothing like what was reported (clubhouse cancer, etc..). He took over the KC, got them having fun again.. and they won some ball games. And it was an incredible feat last year to accomplish that. This year it (hopefully) will be easier since things are pretty calm already. They just need a leader to help pull their heads out of their asses. Carl will be a definite positive in that clubhouse... IMO of course.. rolleyeyes.gif

I found myself saying to Jim over and over.. "Is it possible that there are some people that stupid in this world..?" Like when that guy got out of the van to go open the back.. why didn't David just drive away..??? And when he ran over to the semi's.. why not knock on one of the cabs? Or try to get inside one..? Or why not just friggin hide and not move until you are SURE the maniac is gone..?? Terrible episode. Just terrible.

I agree with you that anything can happen and they could get lucky.. but I just don't see it happening wth these guys. They are not "geling". They all appear to be playing a different game. With the Yanks.. they have a common goal and work together to accomplish it. Example.. Aaron.. Aaron is at the park hours before a game to work on his hitting. It's starting to pay off for him. The other slackers... can't be bothered with getting to the park early for some self induced practice. That tells me they are OK with being "OK" at this point. Not good enough. Get your asses out there and figure out what the hell is wrong, fix it.. and win.

And they have 7 other all stars to pick up the slack. I'd be a lot more comfortable with 2 "rookies" or "grinders" if the 7 other members of the team had a clue what being a winning team felt like.

I think it might have been the freak that started it.. but then got shoved back under his rock... Actually I commented about this on day 2. It was my "calm" day.. LOL. I'm sick of friggin experiments out there. We're going for a WS with Willie Harris and Juan Uribe..?? Does anyone else giggle when they say that out loud...???

The in car camera worked for quite a while after the fire started.. not a pretty sight. Thank God he's ok.
